For our 21st installment Soweso fellow label head Lauhaus brings his solo debut on Soweso. Consisting of three tracks, the Port Of Call Ep showcases his distinctive groove and an ever evolving sound. The title track is a haunting and driving affair with loads of atmosphere and punch. Laden
with many different layers and sounds, it’s a trip that will take you away and bring you back home safe. “Collectify” is a typical Lauhaus groove that is made for the club. It’s a dark and bass heavy beat with basic melodies that gives this hip hop influenced track it’s appeal and personality. Third one on offer is "Lapwing", a straightforward dj tool to play with. Funky rhythms, a little bassline and a deep chord sound is all you need here. On remix duties is UK’s Brodanse and they took “Port Of Call” into a whole new direction. By taking the elements of the original and making them their own, they created a dance floor banger that will make it’s impact. More

We kick off 2015 with Efde's debut EP for Soweso! After delivering a killer remix for Samuel Dan's "Shake It" release back in 2011, it's time for Efde to take the spotlight. Efde has been captivating us with his compelling dj sets and exquisite selection at places like Trouw and our Soweso label nights. With his "Move On EP" this all comes together in a a unique blend of jacking house fuelled with warm pads and techno rhythms. Four tracks that are drenched in Detroit nostalgia, but with a very contemporary vibe and an irresistible groove. The title track has been remixed by the amazing Trus'me. The Prime Numbers head honcho has been making waves in the international techno scene over the last decade with hits like "Somebody" and his recent album "Treat Me Right". The remix he did for Efde is no exception; the "Thrust Mix" is a dark and eerie banger that will leave its marks on the dance floors. Don't sleep on this one!

'Realitivity' is Kabale und Liebe's debut album, set for release on his Soweso Records label this summer. As a successful DJ and producer, co-owner of the irrepressible Soweso record label (launched in 2009 with fellow Dutchman, Lauhaus) Liron van Daalen (aka Kabale und Liebe) is constantly striving for the highest level of quality throughout everything he does. After building up a solid following DJing across the Netherlands, by 2007, just a few years after he had started producing, he released Mumbling Yeah, which was named 'Track Of the Year' by Resident Advisor and established him as a notable producer. Since then his music has emerged on esteemed labels such as Rush Hour, Souvenir, Rejected and Strictly Rhythm. After various singles and EP releases the next logical step in Kabale und Liebe's career is the release of his debut album 'Realitivity', which heralds a change in direction for the Dutch master. Switching from software-based music programming to exclusively working on hardware has given him a new lease of life, creating a renewed sense of excitement about music and inspiring him to work on the biggest project of his career so far. Realitivity is based on the notion that everybody's reality is relative to their own personal interpretation. In the context of the album, the music on offer is open to interpretation, avoiding genre specifics and representing Liron's diverse personal tastes. The productions are raw and typically groovy, the result of numerous jam sessions in the studio - recorded in one take and run through his analogue mixing desk. Listeners can expect a refreshingly human feel to all of the tracks and a few surprises. Opening with the gently bubbling and unfurling Intro to Mindmanifest the album then starts in earnest with the funked up techno of The Hunter (taken from the preceding Sammy Hoboken EP) with it's shuffling beat and dappled synths before Dim builds and builds into a solid house groove, inflected with warmth and emotion: a trademark of Liron's production approach. Bats 'N Butterflies injects an African rhythm into Liron's pulsating house invention - driving us ever closer to the heart of the dancefloor before Lima Sweet Dreams offers a more melancholic, introverted melody that soothes across a sparse staccato beat. Tracks such as Fat'ish' Ass (Twerk Track) highlight Liron's unique take on booty bass - injecting house rhythm's into the rump shaking formula whilst Can I Have S'Amore cranks up the groove for a more driving techno version of the Kabale und Liebe sound. The album's zenith is perhaps reached with the coupling of Sammy Hoboken and Nordlove (Instrumental Version). Two tracks full of swinging Detroit style strings, melody, passion and that all important KuL groove. Pop Artro shakes things up, providing a short yet totally absorbing abstract interlude before the album gets back in the saddle for the powerful bass intensity of Too Many Circuses, Not Enough Freaks. Finally, Liron once again shows off his maverick studio flair, this time re-wiring old school electrobass with 1535'08 10 and providing us with another facet to his kaleidoscopic production talent. As a precursor to Kabale Und Liebe's debut album, Soweso Records releases the 'Sammy Hoboken EP' in April as a teaser of what's to come. Almost 20 years ago, Liron van Daalen was inspired to become a DJ after his cousin explained that the mixtapes Liron adored were created by one person seamlessly mixing one record into another. That revelation set off a chain of events that has seen him adopt the alias Kabale Und Liebe and rise up to become one of Holland's most exciting and reputable electronic music artists. He is a successful DJ and producer, co-owner of the irrepressible Soweso record label (launched in 2009 with fellow Dutchman, Lauhaus) and constantly striving for the highest level of quality throughout everything he does. 2014 marks an important phase in Liron's career as he prepares to unveil his debut album, 'Realitivity', which delves deeper into his musical persona and sees the Dutchman go back to basics. The 'Sammy Hoboken EP' features 3 cuts from the forthcoming album and with lengths running from 8 to 10 minutes, these tracks are designed to get you into the groove and keep you there. Opening with the deep, percussive workout of the title track which gradually builds its electronic melody, via the funked up techno of 'The Hunter' with it's shuffling beat and dappled synths, to the final production, 'Too Many Circuses, Not Enough Freaks' which pounds straight in with its powerful bassline, before the claps take hold on this intense beast. With this Soweso release we introduce you to Nastic & Woldring. Nastic aka Marco Nastic has been around the scene for over a decade and for this Soweso release this internationally acclaimed DJ teams up with Dutch underground newcomer Rik Woldring. On the A side they bring you Our Love, a driving melodic techhouse track with a warm, sexy and dreamy vibe to it. A2, Just Us takes it a little deeper. This Detroit influenced track is a perfect track for late in the morning. Flowy, deep, but with a solid low end are the key words to describe this gem.
On the flipside this package also features two remixes by Mike Shannon and upcoming dutch artist Prunk. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

For Soweso no 12 we are proud to bring you Beesmunt's debut EP 'Circulations'. Beesmunt consists of David van der Leeuw and Luigi Vittorio Jansen, two rising talents from the Amsterdam house scene. They started working as a dj-duo in the summer of 2006 and have been busy dj'ing and producing ever since.
