A killer clubby groove from Steve Marshall -- the kind that reminds us of the best indie singles from the late 70s disco years! Steve plays alto sax here over a strutting, high-stepping rhythm that's got plenty of warm touches -- really glowing with a sense of soul that's great, and touched by some female chorus vocals that are very much in a Philly mode! The disco mix is great -- even more upbeat and extended than the 45 groove. "In The Country" is a great bit of club jazz -- smooth and sweet, but still with a snakey flute line in the middle -- almost like some lost Bobbi Humphrey track from her Epic years. "Do What You Will" is another chorus vocal number -- and "You Are The World" features some laidback mellow flute. More
