Fachwerk boss Mike Denhert rolls up on TECH-UM 006 with for another heavy selection of intuitive techno jams on his 'TESTET' EP. With the focus squarely on the dance floor the Berlin-born wizard's latest creations makes for another unique voyage into cutting edge techno. Kostik with its dark wall of sound opens the release sporting an gargantuan bassline and metronomic percussion that resonates through the speakers. Freakin' Me offers a slow and low machine funk strut, with its heads-down groove and sassy vocal chops. On the flip Mike hits out hard with Mino. A heady concoction that's one part Chicago, one part Detroit, one part Berlin, coming together to create the perfect party piece. Dehnert then closes with one final gem. Sampling a broken escalator from a NYC train station, he engineers layer upon layer of mechanical madness. Creative clanging. Mike Dehnert returns to his own Fachwerk label with a new full length LP celebrating the imprint's 10th anniversary, Intro sets the tone of the album, providing an profusion of tidal tones and textures that soak the listener in sound. Before long though, you're listening to the percussive stabs and pensive drums of Between No Words. Here we hear for the first time on the record the subtle but remarkable vocals of Albert Vogt, who returns throughout the LP. Listeners will also be reminded of Dehnert's skill for crafting complex and emotional music with very few elements, which becomes only more evident as this LP opens up. From here Dehnert traverses through dubbed out techno, deep house and downtempo, all with an experimental playfulness and a lightness of touch that only a producer with his talent and raw experience could pull off. The album peaks with the storming Providing Home 2. With swirling, unpredictable arpeggios, hard hitting drums and a sparingly used vocal hook, this is the track that'll ignite ecstasy across dancefloors for years to come. From here, Dehnert quickly cleanses the palette with the beatless Starground, a ringing and pulsing synth piece, pierced by all manner of klangs and bleeps. This perfectly sets up the album's final epic, Laxwax. Another one aimed squarely at the club, but this time it's for darker dancefloors. In stark contrast to its predecessors on the record, this track is insular, hypnotic and raw. Not content to end on such a note, Dehnert provides one last exertion. Outro is bombastic and pounding, with a rave inspired synth line and heavily swung percussion. Topped with cut up and percussive vocals, the track lives up to it's name summing up the LP and adding to it at the same time. A double album full of forward thinking techno hybrids from Berlin!

Known for an uncompromising, heads-down approach to moving dance floors, whether as a producer, a DJ, or in his live incarnation, Mike has provided 2 original tracks that are as distinct as they are relentless, possessed of a cerebral quality that belies their tough and stripped back aesthetic.
"How Close To Be" is a stuttering march of half heard and half imagined discourse, broken by bright synthesis which disappears before it can fully form, with the disorientating sonics held in check only by the rigidity of rhythm running throughout the tracks length. It's both surprising and linear. Dark and uplifting.

Three years after his last full-length album on Delsin, tireless techno producer Mike Dehnert is back. The 104th release on Delsin, entitled Lichtbedingt, counts 12 tracks and is yet another subtle evolution away from the chord driven, functional sound he has championed before now. Since his last album, Dehnert has continued to steer his Fachwerk label through the techno undergrowth and it has now amassed more than 25 releases in all. At the heart of the label's output has been Dehnert's own increasingly experimental techno and this new album is testament to the producer's continued exploration of the form. Where Framework was, in the words of Mike himself, ''focussed on the heavy techno form'', this album explores broken bass, swinging house and beatless electronic experimentalism amongst other things. ''I love to release music. I still enjoy the album writing process very much,'' says Mike, before adding, ''I have noticed that sometimes the success of a track depends on the light at club, which is why the album is called Lichtbedingt, meaning 'depends on light!''' The album starts off with a suitably sombre intro that features cold, slowly shifting synths. They set an uneasy and moody tone before 'Construction' settles into a fat, swaggering. From there you get lost in broken, ruptured, malfunctioning bits of hardware that spit out random hi hats, bleeps and gurgles and then eventually get spat out the other side into a cantering bit of dubwise techno with paranoid vocal snippets. Moving along, the album throws plenty of diverse influences into the mix: 'Movement' is freaky and dynamic, skipping and pumping, ducking and diving through all sorts of occult synth sounds and shadowy vocal loops then 'Single Action' is like a sledge hammer groove run through with harmonic elements that glint and glisten like diamonds in the rough. Classic sounding Dehnert tracks like 'ReRe' remind us where this producer has come from, whil st the breezy house swagger of 'Emlo' show us where he might be headed. Key to this album and Dehnert's output as a whole is, besides the killer grooves, the production: crisp and clean, full blooded and always outstanding, it makes his tracks leap out of the speakers and into minds, bodies and souls without relying on the usual tropes or same old cheap tricks.

After a few months of releasing collaborative EPs alongside Sascha Rydell and Roman Lindau, Mike Dehnert marks a quarter century of releases on his own label with Fachwerk 25, a full-length album comprised of 13 tracks. This new album sees Mike experimenting somewhat. Away from the dubbed out, functional and raw techno funk of his usual output, Fachwerk 25 shows some concession to the album format, with more mysterious tracks of ambient buried amongst bits of acid, rave and plenty of unhinged sound design. After the dystopian and scene-setting intro, there’s the chugging house and nagging synths of ‘Fraction’ that are both dark and beautiful at the same time. From there, there’s slowed, melancholic dub in the form of ‘Modulat” and the beat-less, underwater sounding ‘Courant’ with its icy pads and wide lateral spread. The title track is more what you’d expect of Dehnert, with well-swung kicks and grainy synt h chords rolling along like basement techno should, before the squelchy industrial madness of ‘Grundform’ breaks the stride of the album once again, taking you off to a different place entirely. The second half is just as varied and unpredictable, ranging from raucous peak time stuff to more nuanced and cerebral fair that always manages to bares the hallmarks of Fachwerk: quality, invention and unpredictability. Having established his Berlin label as a go-to and no nonsense outlet for fans of a certain type of stripped down but inviting techno, Fachwerk 25 will likely bring a whole new sort of attention on Dehnert and his ever on-point imprint.

Fachwerk celebrate 8 years Fachwerk with a special 2x12" Album Release... Fachwerk, established in Berlin in 2007 By Mike Dehnert, will be celebrating their 8th year this September with an album showcasing the cohesiveness of their sound and artists. In the past years, Sascha Rydell, Roman Lindau and Mike Dehnert himself have called the label home, hosting frequent nights at Berghain among other venues with the whole crew. With the minor exception of a couple releases the label catalog almost uniquely features the German trio. For this special series, the three have come together once more, with the last time being three years ago, to each contribute their perspective on this anniversary piece as they travel through various emotions that capture the uplifting energy of the label. The story is told as a narrative opening with a prologue from an alluring French female which slips gently into a punchy bass and cheerful rifts. The plot continues to unfold with dub-like chords that nurture serene atmospheres, which glide between bouncy beats and darker intriguing synths. The camaraderie is evident as the story progresses through a series of interludes embracing the banter of daily life running a label. The sheer ability for Dehnert, Lindau and Rydell to intermingle and rest so consistent has them fooling any ear into thinking this compilation is a solo album. This is not an easy task for many labels, yet they are able to embody the essence of what the label has achieved in the past 8 years as well as what is still to come.

Key Fachwerk team member Sascha Rydell is back on his home label founded by Mike Dehnert with another EP of searing techno. 'Thought Disorder' is a cantering, bulky affair with clipped vocals trapped in the middle of meaty drum loops. It's a well-swung track that has plenty of height to it, while 'Haptic' appears to make sue of the same vocal phrases. This time it's subtler, buried deep in a minimal percussive line and dubby, swaying drums. Striking the sweet spot between sampledelic downtempo and earth-rooted deep house, Fila Brazillia's Old Codes New Chaos is a maverick patchwork of grooves and soundscapes. Crafted in North East England in the vibrant period before chill-out was co-opted by advertising, Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry's sharp-eared funk formula remains a cult classic suite of exquisite productions spanning deep house, broken beat and ambient shot through with wry humour.
Last physically released in limited quantities in 2002, Forever Records are revisiting this 1994 gem with an extensive reissue led by a triple vinyl pressing, newly mastered from the original mixdowns. There will also be a limited edition, 4LP edition including bonus tracks 'Rankine' (Live at Bounce), 'Chemistry' and 'Rankine', plus an exclusive print of Catherine Brennand's watercolour painting that graces the front of the album. A limited edition, gold disc CD housed in a digi-pack will also be available. All editions also features liner notes by veteran music journalist John McCready.

Detroit original, Terrence Dixon, returns to Tresor Records to kick off 2026 with ‘When Stars Remember’. Despite his thirty-year career, Terrence has always managed to keep a lower profile than his peers; he has given few interviews, preferring instead to speak through his music, with
cryptic song titles hinting at the thoughts swirling around their creation.
However, ‘When Stars Remember’ finds him stepping forward. “I wanted to get closer to the dancefloor. I consciously made this one feel louder…made with Tresor specifically in mind.” And the EP does just that: whilst many of the hall marks of a Terrence Dixon production are
present, the drums are more forward; the synth arpeggios so bold that ‘monumental’ seems a better descriptor than ‘minimal’.
“I put three or four sounds together on the same track, layering to make something bigger”, he says of opening track ‘Mono Collapse’, though the statement could apply to any of the music appearing on the release as all four pieces fold in sonics to create something hypnotic; more
than the individual parts: “If you stick with the same layered tones, and repeat it over, after a while your brain changes it on its own; you hear a lot of things: things that you didn’t notice at first, things that maybe aren’t even there.”
The absence of things is another main theme of the EP, especially what Dixon sees as ‘The Forgotten’, a group of fundamental principles like common sense, trust, loyalty, honesty and respect that are missing from modern life. “This world is different…the love is gone. But I love
everybody, man. I think, secretly, everybody love everybody, but they just don’t know it.”

After many years of being "on-the-shelf" we are extremely pleased to share these with the public. First up, we have a selection that was being considered for the "Another Side" (Fingers, Inc.) album that features Ron Wilson free-styling vocals to a deep-house vibe. To this day, we are not quite sure why this selection was not included on the project but are pleased to finally share it. Next up we have "Electronic Debris" delivering a "mellow-deep" vibe. Then we have "Saspence" with, as the title implies, a "mysterious-deep-minimal house" feel. Concluding the EP is "Nyte Light" delivering a "deep-ambient-acid" flavor. The eternal "What You Won't Do for Love" became a national anthem. It remains that way - perhaps even more so in the past year or two. It perfectly captured Bobby's ability to infuse a contagious groove with introspective and relatable lyrics. With its instantly recognisable horn riff and Caldwell's soulful delivery, this timeless, chiller anthem continues to captivate audiences and define his musical legacy.
A perennial favourite, it has been heavily sampled, such is its unique allure; Aaliyah sang over snatches of it on "Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number" and you can hear Caldwell’s vocal sample used for the hook on Tupac’s posthumously released “Do For Love”.
Bobby's dynamite "Open Your Eyes" was immortalised by the eternal J Dilla in the hip-hop canon with his production of Common’s epochal “The Light,” which heavily samples the magical “Open Your Eyes.” On a post paying tribute to Bobby in March 2023, Questlove claimed that he "got word Brother Bobby loved it". Bobby's original has seen new life even more recently from the likes of Dwele and Kendrick Lamar and deservingly so, as its insistent drums and staccato piano created a modern-soul classic.

Music springs eternal. Recognising the enduring power of timeless albums to guide us through life, Forever Records is a reissue series dedicated to rediscovering lost musical treasures from across the spectrum of head-feeding, heart-rending electronic music.
Established by Rush Hour co-founder Christiaan Macdonald and Delsin founder Marsel van der Wielen, Forever Records places heartfelt faith in a carefully curated sequence of seminal, largely forgotten records from disparate eras, scenes and spaces within electronic music history. Dancing on the wildest edge of the 90s outsider techno zeitgeist while proudly independent of any so-called scene, Ov Biospheres And Sacred Grooves: A Document Ov New Edge Folk Classics is both of its time and out of time. Rooted in the experiments of electronic music pioneers, industrial culture and ethnic music from around the globe while responding to the house and techno explosion, Robbert Heynen, Reinier Brekelmans, Reinoud van den Broek and Tim Freeman's freewheeling masterpiece takes in lush electronica and murky abstraction on its singular voyage through parts unknown.
Forever Records presents an extensive reissue edition of the first 'fully released' Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia album. Originally released in 1992, this is the first time the full, previously CD-only, version of Ov Biospheres and Sacred Grooves will be pressed on vinyl. The original LP and CD artwork from the various editions released in the early 90s has been combined and designed by the band, and the audio has been remastered with their full approval. As well as a new LP edition of the album, there will also be a uniquely numbered, limited edition available housed in a gatefold sleeve that comes with a bonus 10" featuring two previously unreleased tracks.
