Batu - The Fifth
Batu returns to A Long Strange Dream for a deep dive into otherworldly ambient soundscapes, after infusing his interest in beatless forms in recent releases.
Drawing inspiration from the ambiance of chill-out rooms and their ability to channel the intense emotions of rave, he presents an entrancing voyage into post-euphoria, where self-exploration lives at the border of lucid dreaming and reality.
By recontextualizing his signature studies of the frontiers between organic and synthetic sounds outside of dancefloors, the multi-faceted producer displays a blissfully radiant and emotive side throughout an ecstatic journey.

Batu - Through The Glass
Following up on his much acclaimed debut album ‘Opal’ released in 2022, Batu heads into a new year introducing A Long Strange Dream : a new imprint dedicated to his spontaneous musical explorations, conceived with the aim to follow curiosities and share his own music in a back-to-basics and spontaneous fashion.
The inaugural release « For Spirits » is packed with some of the Bristol based producer’s most psychedelic dancefloor studies to date. Flowing seamlessly as a whole piece, this long-form EP showcases Batu’s versatile and deep personal sound, as well as a riveting talent for electronic experiments ranging from trance-inducing ambient to peak-time techno wreckage.

Batu - 11: Always There
Building on the promise of nearly 10 years testing limits within club music, Batu presents his debut album Opal. Experimentation is a well-established facet of Omar McCutcheon's identity within the leftfield techno zeitgeist, but more than ever on Opal he seizes the opportunity to incorporate ideas beyond dancefloor impetus into his animated, forward-leaning sound.
Through the course of 11 tracks, rhythmic forms are mutated and manipulated, sonic matter bends across the frequency range and narrative structures coalesce and dissolve according to Batu's own internal logic. Unpredictability lies at the heart of all this music, bound together by a consistent modernist glint. It's a sound intrinsically connected to the superlative string of club 12"s, EPs and collaborations Batu has spun behind him thus far, even as it moves into unfamiliar terrain, guided by abstract inspiration from coastal landscapes and the mineral matter all life on Earth is built on.

Having previously used their dnuoS ytiviL offshoot to release material from their nearest and dearest (think Batu, Bruce, Hodge and Alex Coulton), Bristol's Livity Sound crew turns to unknown French producer Simo Cell. The two tracks showcased here are a rather fine introduction to this newcomer, with opener "Piste Jaune" offering a clandestine blend of stuttering electro bass, discordant analogue percussion hits and spooky electronics. The mystery man goes for the jugular on "Cellar Door", with pitched-down, bleep style melodies and liquid electronics riding an off-kilter, broken techno groove. Another fine Livity release.

Following on from the success of their self titled label compilation in October, the Livity Sound collective returns for a final transmission in 2013 courtesy of their sister label dnuoS ytiviL. (pronounced ‘Livity Sound’, if you were wondering…) A strictly underground operation, it’s manifesto is to release music with a shared aesthetic to it’s parent label and it did just that earlier in the year, delivering two dancefloor bombs by Manchester’s Alex Coulton in the form of the ‘War Games’ / ‘Pointe Noire’ 12”. ‘Spooked’ and ‘Clarity (Dismantled)’ are both produced by new UK based artist Batu whose signature alien dub dance and snaking hypnotic rhythmic styles reflect the mutating underground UK and round off a killer year for the label as a whole. This 12” follows on from Batu’s debut vinyl release on Pinch’s Cold Recordings label.

2025 Repress in black vinyl. WG Standard Sleeve
Tracklist:
A) Higher State Of Consciousness (Adana Twins Remix One)
B) Higher State Of Consciousness (Adana Twins Remix Two)
Release Info:
Josh Wink’s ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ gets a respectful touch-up 25 years on courtesy of
the Adana Twins.
The German duo come strong with a pair of remixes, fit for two very different dancefloor scenarios. The
first a smart, stripped back breakbeat version that switches from a sparse percussive soundscape to the
famous acid warbles, before introducing undulating retro trance synths to the composition for a headmelting finish. Remix Two is a driving, four-to-the-floor, rave-focused affair that builds up the 303s with
exhilarating intensity, only letting up in the final moments of the track.
The fresh interpretation follows on from Adana Twins’ super re-work of Patrice Baumel’s ‘Roar’ that
dropped on Watergate last November and reinforces the duo’s golden touch on the remix front

Tracklisting:

B1 Tal Fussman - Everybody (KiNK Remix)
Press release:
Survival Tactics label boss Tal Fussman starts 2025 with the ‘Everybody’ EP, arriving on the label 28th February 2025, featuring two massive remixes by KiNK and Elisa Bee. Fussman’s titular single, ‘Everybody,’ sees dub chords
tumble over a steady beat, a vocal sample keeping pace before shimmering keys create a gorgeous dance-floor moment at the halfway mark.
Stepping up to remix Tal Fussman's ‘Everybody’, Sardinia’s Elisa Bee infuses the track with swinging organic rhythm, resampling the original’s chords into a playful stab bouncing off the drums while stripping back the vocal. Bulgarian
lynchpin KiNK then flips ‘Everybody’ into a strobelight-inducing cut complete with bubbling synths and rave-ready hoover sounds, contributing his tried-and-tested flair to an EP that is the complete Techno package.
Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label owner Tal Fussman is known for his varied discography on labels such as Innvervisions, Drumpoet, Dyinamic, Laurent Garnier’s COD3QR, and Radio Slave’s Rekids. He now returns to his
Survival Tactics label with ‘Everybody’, a versatile offering that’s already supported by the likes of Honey Dijon, Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, and many more.

Such is the case with Turbo label head Tiga, who has played 11Schnull & Newinfluenzer’s 2023 underground hit “Ich und meine Ubahn” in each and every one of his DJ sets since its non-Turbo release. But unbridled track-passion is not always enough, and sometimes one must take a step back and recognize that the music business is also a business. So our in-house Corporate Development team, which has of late been entirely focused* on figuring out how best to monetize Tintin entering the public domain, set to work, successfully licensing the original while also creating the fun and potentially life-saving opportunity to visualize just how amicable the licensing process was.
All of which brings us to the remix pack at hand. The essentially perfect electro programming and vocal performance of the 2023 original leaves virtually no angle for improvement, save for the fact that the 4:20 runtime not enough for the median touring DJ to satisfy their chatbot mistress before they must begin the exacting work of selecting and mixing the next track. As such, we enlisted producers who could interpret the song from different planes of existence, namely Chilean-German wizard Matias Aguayo, French hardstyle prodigy Krarmpf, German aesthetes Extrawelt, Hamburg electro master DJ MELL G, and Asturian highbrow god Architectural. For reference, the planes conjured by these remixes are as follows: blacked out on Ivermectin; finally beat a pay-to-win mindfulness game; voted the Greatest Living Teen Artist by the readers of US Weekly; transformed into an expressionless little muscleman as if by magic; going viral; and curing jet lag in our lifetime. It is not for us to say which remix corresponds to which realm of human experience, but we do know that it is limited to those options.
Finally, please do not invite a chatbot lover into your marriage. Your spouse cannot hope to compete. And know that this advice comes from our best understanding of current world affairs, and does not represent what a repressed British man would calling “taking the pee.” At their very best, jokes are funny, and the fate of the human bedroom is no laughing matter at all.
*Like a laser!

SHORT INFO:
Congratulations, Electro connoisseur! You are about to enter the Electrifying Dojo. A place where Sifu pdqb and Sensei Rolando teach a transcendental, one-of-a-kind neo-futuristic martial art that does not use hands but something far more delicate and powerful: MUSIC.
Blending martial discipline with the art of electronic music is something deeper, something that no words can properly describe. The skills you will be taught here are feeling music, embodying it. pdqb and Rolando believe that true harmony comes when the mind, body, and soul are united in the sounds that vibrate through the air.
The sounds of this first lesson are soft at first, almost imperceptible. But then they grow into a delicate, trembling melody that fills the room with an emotion that is difficult to place. It isn’t sadness, nor is it joy, but something in between. The more you listen, the more you will be aware of something strange: tears will fall gently, silently. They are not forced, nor are they out of sorrow - it is simply because the music feels so beautiful. Your deepest emotions will be triggered, every note will carry out an old truth, a secret truth, buried deep in your heart.
Another quality drop from Synaptic Cliffs. 4 dark and beautiful signature-style Electrocognition journeys from pdqb, playful with a modern twist while still remaining loyal to its roots. And on the flipside: two stunning, classic Rolando remixes, each with the potential to be the crowning moment in the club.
VITAL SALES POINTS:
• inside-out cover with Pantone print
• red and black smashed vinyl
• mastered by the infamous Mike Grinser
• remixed by DJ Rolando

SHORT INFO:
In 2047, amidst the deafening yet oh-so-familiar soundscape of the Movement Festival in Detroit, we met again: I, pdqb, and Scape One, known as two of the most respected electronic music composers worldwide. The air pulsed not only with the latest beats but also with a barely perceptible energy only the two of us knew. We hadn't simply flown in; we'd arrived with our fantastic "Diskmind" time-travel machine, an incredible invention, capable of effortlessly catapulting us through the centuries.
"It's unbelievable, isn't it?" I shouted over the bass, eyebrows raised. "A machine that lets us travel through all of history, and there isn't a single song that honors it! Not one!"
Scape One nodded vigorously, his gaze sweeping over the stage lights. "That's absurd! How can such a revolutionary invention remain unsung? It's almost an insult to music history itself."
We looked at each other, a silent understanding in our gazes. The mission was clear: The "Diskmind" needed its anthems. And who, if not us, who used and loved it, should create them?
And so, we decided to become the musical chroniclers of the "Diskmind," ready to tell the story of our time machine across four different eras...
For Synaptic Cliffs, it's an extraordinary honor to present these three Scape One variations of the original song 'Diskmind' (first released on The Electrifying Dojo, 2025). Each masterpiece was recorded in different future decades of the 21st century (of ourse with the help of the Diskmind time travel machine) and reflects the corresponding trend in electronic music. A1: A timeless, pristine Electro composition from the year 2035. A2: An IDM marvel from late summer 2075, recorded in the Zero gravity of Space Station 775."B: An Experimental Electronica symphony recorded at pdqb's Studio 577 on Mars Outpost 47A in the year 3011. Only musical equipment that doesn't currently exist was used for this release.

A1 - Super Flu – Where Are U Now (Extended) (06:43)
B1 - Marc Werner – Omar (06:45)
B2 - Gustavo Ibarra, Xotto – My World (6:34)
Genre: Afro House, Indie Dance
In this episode of Didschn, Super Flu, Marc Werner, Gustavo Ibarra, and Xotto all wake up in the same house—strangers to one
another, yet oddly familiar. Outside the windows: nothing. Just endless white fog, no sky, no ground, no exit.
Each room in the house seems tailored to a specific memory. Marc hears a melody he hasn’t written yet. Gustavo sees pages
from a book he never published. Xotto finds paintings he doesn‘t remember creating. Super Flu, silent and calm, senses the
rhythm of the place—like the entire house is part of a song stuck on repeat.
They soon realize they’re trapped in a loop—a cycle built from fragments of their unrealized futures. Every attempt to escape
resets the house.
The key lies in finishing what was never started. A song. A word. A brushstroke.
As they collaborate, the fog lifts.
And just before waking—Super Flu whispers: „Some loops aren’t broken. They’re completed.

LP - Black 180gram vinyl with Obi-strip
“The true follow up, 35 years later, to The KLF’s ‘Chill Out’”.
JD Twitch (Optimo).
An ambient journey reflecting on friendship, the British landscape - and The KLF’s landmark album Chill Out
"This record and film are just lovely. You need this in your life. Moo-Moo!” Balearic Mike (Down To The Sea & Back)
"The album is a perfect companion to the KLF classic, utilising the British countryside as the setting, occasionally reminding you that Mother Nature is not to be messed with.” Strictly Kev (DJ Food)
"A beautiful ambient journey into the landscape, taking the listener from reality to dream state and back again. A mystical realm full of mysterious chanting, rattling trains and sounds from the very depths of the earth."
Lally MacBeth & Matthew Shaw (Stone Club)
File under: Ambient
Side 1:
Swaledale to Blakeney Straits
Side 2:
Laugharne Estuary to Welcombe Mouth
Recorded in a remote cabin on the Devon coast, STILL OUT is an album-length collaboration between musician-filmmakers – and childhood friends – Will Cookson and Tom Haverly. A reflection on friendship, landscape and the passing of time, it inspired a road trip from North Yorkshire to North Devon they took together in the summer of 2024, and forms the soundtrack to a film of the same name which had its premiere screening as part of Stroud Film Festival in March 2025.
Like the film, STILL OUT is also an oblique homage to The KLF’s iconic 1990 album Chill Out, which the Gloucestershire-based pair revisited after it turned up unexpectedly a few years back in Tom’s dad’s record collection. Inspired to create their own recording using a similarly free-spirited process, Will and Tom relocated to the Devon coast in late summer 2023, splicing together a 40-minute mix from their personal archive of recordings and found sounds in a remote cabin with no electricity or mobile reception.
"It came together using cut-and-paste techniques, with ongoing shifts and tweaks,” says Will. “The final result was an audio collage that felt like something [legendary hip hop producers] The Bomb Squad might make - if ambient music was the only material in their sample library."
Using ‘ambient’ as a starting-point rather than an end in itself, they took inspiration from across the musical spectrum – classic-period Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Bill Evans, plus outliers such as 80s singer-songwriter Virginia Astley and the late DJ-producer Andrew Weatherall. The connections, though, are anything but obvious as the audio shifts seamlessly from field recordings and spoken-word interludes to mood pieces and snatches of vintage pop.
Edited and assembled using freely available open source programs, the source material was often radically altered using tools such as “PaulStretch”, a digital sound-morphing algorithm that allows users to stretch audio files to extreme lengths.
"When we found ourselves in a creative slump or unsure how to navigate a tricky part, we'd say, ‘Let's put some syrup on it and slow it down,’” says Tom. “That always helped us get back on track during late-night recording sessions at the cabin."
Part-soundtrack, part-meditative experiment, STILL OUT is intended as a reflection on the mental and emotional shift that occurs when stepping away from the routine of daily life – an album that forms a celebration of our ever-changing relationship to the world around us and the mystery of what it means to pass through time and space.

"The Journey" - The Latest Masterpiece from Japanese Rebel Music Icon Yasushi Ide
From the space to ancient times, and back again - The Journey is a sprawling 115-minute mind trip now finally available on vinyl. Originally released as a 2-CD epic totaling 113 minutes, this ambitious work has been meticulously reimagined for vinyl, with Yasushi Ide himself calling it "the most difficult production decision I've ever made."
Rather than opting for a 3- or 4-LP set that could preserve full length and maximum audio fidelity, Ide took on the bold challenge of condensing the album into a single LP (under 50 minutes) - without compromising the depth or narrative scope of the original. The result is a distilled yet expansive listening experience that pushes the vinyl format to its limits.
All tracks on this release are either different versions or specially edited album takes, making it a truly exclusive edition. Highlights include a unique version of "Cosmic Time" - seamlessly blending remixes by Ken Ishii and Alex Attias - and a rare, vinyl-only edit of "Place In The Sun" by Kaoru Inoue, created specifically for this release.
The lineup of contributors spans a global roster of acclaimed artists, including Ken Ishii, Shuya Okino & ROOT SOUL, Yoshinori Sunahara, Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM), Charles Webster, Chris Coco, DJ NATURE, and Kiko Navarro - 13 collaborators in total. Together, they craft a sonic landscape that transcends the traditional remix album, resembling the soundtrack to an imaginary film.
Embark on a one-of-a-kind auditory journey - exclusively on vinyl.

GENRE/S: House, Electronic, UK Garage, Electro Funk, Dub
TRACKLIST:
Side A
A1. Compromise (04:32 min)
A2. Persona (04:44 min)
Side B
B1. Last Night A Bassline Saved My Life (05:07 min)
B2. Escalator (04:18 min)
SHORT INFO:
With this new EP called "Last Night A Bassline Saved My Life", again released on Unsure, Stefan Schwander further refines the philosophy and sound of his latest concept While My Sequencer Gently Bleeps. Following his idea of reduction Schwander used only the Elektron Monomachine to shape four amazing tracks, beautifully balanced, searching for the perfect groove, stripped of all unnecessary.
"Compromise", the first track, may even be a reminiscence to Schwanders legendary releases as Antonelli Electr, supertransparent and supercrisp, yet still warm, deep and human, an understated wonder of a track! "Persona" and the title track got those dubby chords and effective synths, an inimitable tightness and basslines that can save your life indeed. And on "Escalator" Schwander comes up with extraordinary rolling and twisting rhythms and some sonic essentials that only the master of the sequencer can deliver. Distinguished.
