Bristol’s techno dreamweaver A Sagittariun returns to the fray with new music. A trio of tracks are featured on ‘The 23 Enigma’, and A Sagittariun’s first release since 2022’s ‘Strange Brew’ EP for Radio Slave’s REKIDS label. A production career spanning near to fifteen years, with albums and single releases on labels such as Hypercolour, Running Back, Craigie Knowes, Permanent Vacation, Idle Hands and Secretsundaze, A Sagittariun traverses genres with ease, peddling raw and hypnotic techno, ambient dub, breakbeat and deep electronic sounds each tinged with a heavy dose of psychedelia and cosmic power! ‘Fountainhead’ and ‘Mind Games’ take it back to the raw, with panel beating drums, frenetic percussion and wigged out synths designed for the more discerning of dancefloors, whilst lead track ‘The 23 Enigma’ goes down a wormhole of muscular electronica as deep as a wizard’s sleeve.

A Sagittariun returns to Rekids this May with ‘Strange Brew EP’. Following his ‘Mazes & Monoliths’ EP on Rekids in 2021, as well as releases on Running Back, Hypercolour, Idle Hands, and Craigie Knowes, the Elastic Dreams boss returns to Radio Slave’s label for another standout three-track EP of colourful and psychedelic cuts. Following releases for the likes of Hypercolour, Idle Hands, and Craigie Knowes, the Elastic Dreams boss has carved out a rep for a widescreen, psychedelic take on electronic music that jumps from dub, ambient and electronica to pelting techno. Here, for Rekids, the Bristolian producer indulges his weightier influences to deliver a release that was literally made for the label. Stumbling, off-kilter drums open the release on ‘Inner Frontier’, moving into a breakdown of synthesised bliss, as a barrage of FM tones dart across the stereo spectrum before the familiar thud of the 4/4 kick returns. On the flip, ‘Annihilating Rhythm’ twists and turns through flanged-out percussion and gritty synthesis before the sound of a car and the titular vocal sample flies through the mix, destined to generate mayhem on dancefloors. Rounding off the release, ‘Timewave’ links metallic percussion and sizzling acid basslines for an unrelenting late-night techno excursion.

A Sagittariun’s third album chronicles the journey back to Telepathic Heights; an expedition that encounters many obstacles along the way. The feuding parties of the two planets make for a journey of determination and self-discovery for our techno lone ranger that will ultimately deliver him to the sacred site on which Telepathic Heights stands.
Conceived as a space western soundtrack to the cinematic interpretation of this tale, Return To Telepathic Heights delivers ten chapters that journal the ultimate mission to reach the imposing tower of Telepathic Heights, where dream telepathy has become the primary communicative tool amongst its peaceful and harmonious community who have opted out of the planetary war that continues to rage, seemingly with no armistice anytime soon.
The score fittingly winds its way through the trials and tribulations of this journey, blending minimal and harmonic rhythms, industrial funk, dreamy synthwave and transcendental techno into the rich tapestry of music that documents the ‘Return To Telepathic Heights’.
The album features original artwork by Johnny Bruck, fully licensed, and taken from the legendary German science fiction novel series, ‘Perry Rhodan’, which ran weekly from the early 1960s, and was the most successful sci-fi book series ever written.

bass and melodious keys, with an almost early 1980s synth pop vibe to it, whilst ‘Burning Crystal’ is the kind of introverted and deep ambient electronica that has shaped the two A Sagittariun albums (2013’s ‘Dream Ritual’ and 2016’s ‘Elasticity’).

His second release for Hypercolour displays signs of crossover appeal at long last…
Lead track "Vanishing Point" has already been receiving early plays from the likes of Laurent Garnier (dropping it in his recent Timewarp Germany set), Spencer Parker and Len Faki. Big pumping beats and spiralling FX fall aside to a lone breakbeat that ushers in one pretty special breakdown section. The childlike keys and fathoms deep synth stabs (straight out of the John Carpenter school of fathoms deep synth stabs) have already drawn comparisons to the retro 80s vibes to be heard on the American sci-fi horror series Stranger Things. It's a breakdown that takes the listener to an uncharted dimension, bookended by slammin' beats that acts as a perfect mood changer in any set. Watch this one soar!
"The Pathway" keeps things on an all together straighter tip; an incessant tribal loop weaves and filters around a thunderous kick and shuffling hats, ebbing and flowing all the way in what might be A Sagittariun's most club-centric and stripped back production yet. Matrixxman (Dekmantel/Spectral Sound) is on hold to deliver a superb remix; pushing the original down a long dark tunnel for a growling and reverberating techno overhaul. Splendid stuff from the San Francisco based DJ/producer who is making serious waves on the scene after his landmark 2015 album 'Homesick' for Ghostly International.

"The Pathway" keeps things on an all together straighter tip; an incessant tribal loop weaves and filters around a thunderous kick and shuffling hats, ebbing and flowing all the way in what might be A Sagittariun's most club-centric and stripped back production yet. Matrixxman (Dekmantel/Spectral Sound) is on hold to deliver a superb remix; pushing the original down a long dark tunnel for a growling and reverberating techno overhaul. The Sabres Of Paradise, AKA Andrew Weatherall, Gary Burns and Jagz Kooner, released a clutch of
acclaimed albums, singles and remixes between the years 1992 and 1995, when the trio disbanded. Three
albums for Warp, remixes of The Future Sound Of London, Leftfield & Lydon, Bjork, New Order and The
Dust Brothers (AKA Chemical Brothers), and not forgetting the now legendary ‘Smokebelch II’ single, which
must have soundtracked hundreds of thousands of sunsets and chillout after hours over the years, have left a
huge treasure trove of a catalogue as part of their legacy.
One production though has gone down in Sabres folklore, since its release was limited to inclusion on one multi
artist compilation CD album only, and it is this track, ‘Lick Wid Nit Wit’, that A Sagittariun has unearthed, licensed

A Sagittariun returns to Elastic Dreams after 2013's incredible debut album, 'Dream Ritual'. Having picked up such accolades as Electronica Album Of The Month (December, Mojo Magazine) and No. 6 Best Album on 2013 (DJ Magazine), A Sagittariun gets right back to business with this eclectic 4 track release.
'Wave Upon Wave' channels frenzied breakbeats and rolling acid-like riffs, whilst 'Re-Ignition' and 'Ascella' are clearly designed for the dancefloor, with muscular and Teutonic beats underpinning more celestial sounds. A Sagittariun returns to Elastic Dreams after 2013's incredible debut album, 'Dream Ritual'. Having picked up such accolades as Electronica Album Of The Month (December, Mojo Magazine) and No. 6 Best Album on 2013 (DJ Magazine), A Sagittariun gets right back to business with this eclectic 4 track release.
'Wave Upon Wave' channels frenzied breakbeats and rolling acid-like riffs, whilst 'Re-Ignition' and 'Ascella' are clearly designed for the dancefloor, with muscular and Teutonic beats underpinning more celestial sounds. EP closer, 'And The Moon Be Still As Bright' is cut from the same cloth as the 'Dream Ritual' sessions, highly emotive and intelligent dance music, wrapped up in cloud of shimmering pads.

A Sagittariun continues to explore the deeper shades of the electronic repertoire with the ‘Rapid Ear Movement’ EP featuring a remix from Terrace (D-Jax Upbeats/Eevolute). The Mojo Odyssey and the Terrace remix cater for the feet whilst A Lucid Dream is a trip for the mind. Alien D, aka Daniel Creahan, is a staple in the NYC underground, known for his releases on labels including Lillerne, 1432 R and Banlieue Records. On his latest album, For the Early Hours of a World in Bloom – his first for Theory Therapy – Creahan takes us deeper into the dubby landscapes of his previous work, with a renewed focus on groove and movement.
Where Lillerne’s Spiritual World leaned toward ambient abstraction, Early Hours pulses with kinetic energy, with tracks like “Soil Dub” and “Sleepy’s Gambit” propelling us forward with dubwise rhythms crafted for the dancefloor.
The album thrives on its infectious, steady groove, with repeating phrases and subtle shifts that keep the music in constant motion. Nowhere is this more evident than on the gentle roller, “Breather.” Over 13 minutes, Creahan lets small variations in tone and a propulsive low-end evolve gradually alongside Ben Seretan’s guitar.
While Early Hours embraces a more rhythmic direction, it still retains the eccentricity and atmosphere that defines Alien D’s sound. Conceived in the first days after the COVID lockdown, there’s a hopeful quality to the music – flickering tones, soft percussive elements and organic textures that hover just behind the beat – making it feel both intimate and expansive. It’s as though Creahan has bottled those transcendent moments that can occur during the early hours of a party, when everything feels suspended in a state of potential.

The Deep Series imprint operated as a sub-label of Diaphan Music, both of which released material between 2009 and 2014, as can often be the way for many artists family life and other responsibilities stepped up on the priority list and the label was put on hiatus. Now back to reboot things with a fresh perspective and a focus on Georgios’ music and music from artists he admires, Deep Series begins its new chapter for 2022, bringing fresh deep and dynamic cuts and an uncompromising approach with its future direction.

Sushitech never serves up anything less than high-class tech, house and dub and that is once more the case with the latest reissue project. This one turns its attention to a 1999 gem by Land-based Get Fucked. Originally dropped on the Eukahouse label and soon beaching a cult classic of the new millennium, it now arrives on a fresh 10" in two different forms. Sushitech never serves up anything less than high-class tech, house and dub and that is once more the case with the latest reissue project. This one turns its attention to a 1999 gem by Land-based Get Fucked. Berlin based Greek artist Georgios Papamanoglou returns to his Deep Series imprint with the 'Instan Bliss' EP this March, accompanied by two remixes from Iron Curtis.
Georgios Papamanoglou has been been involved in the underground House and Techno scene since the turn of the millennium, making him mark through his multiple imprints Diaphan Music and Deep Series with releases from himself and other artists such as Nekes and Ekkohaus among others. After a few years hiatus 2023 saw Georgios return to relaunch his Deep Series label with the 'Dark Path' EP, featuring a remix from fellow Greek Techno stalwart, XDB. Here he returns with his new project 'Instant Bliss' made up of two originals and two remixes from the much loved Office Recordings and Hudd Traxx regular, Iron Curtis.
'Millions Of Sounds' opens the release and sees Georgios lay down a bubbling arpeggio lead line, shimmering analogue drums and intricately oscillating synth lines all dynamically evolving and unfolding throughout. Iron Curtis' 'Drama Mix' of 'Instant Bliss' follows and sees the German artist employ hypnontic atmospherics, cinematics strings and a choppy bass sequence alongside stripped back drums.
Opening the b-side is Iron Curtis' second remix the 'Supersorry Mix' of 'Instant Bliss', this time round laying focus on squelchy 303 licks, crisp breakbeats and an underlying textural tension. Papamanaglou's original of
'Instant Bliss' then completes the package, a nine minune cinematic journey through enchanting strings, polyrhythms and robotic glithes.

With a brimming catalogue of music that operates in the more adventurous quarters of the techno music genre, A
Sagittariun preps his first release of 2018, with a remix disc of one the Holy Grail of tracks from one of the most
endearing electronic acts of the 1990s.
The Sabres Of Paradise, AKA Andrew Weatherall, Gary Burns and Jagz Kooner, released a clutch of
acclaimed albums, singles and remixes between the years 1992 and 1995, when the trio disbanded. Three
albums for Warp, remixes of The Future Sound Of London, Leftfield & Lydon, Bjork, New Order and The
Dust Brothers (AKA Chemical Brothers), and not forgetting the now legendary ‘Smokebelch II’ single, which
must have soundtracked hundreds of thousands of sunsets and chillout after hours over the years, have left a
huge treasure trove of a catalogue as part of their legacy.
One production though has gone down in Sabres folklore, since its release was limited to inclusion on one multi
artist compilation CD album only, and it is this track, ‘Lick Wid Nit Wit’, that A Sagittariun has unearthed, licensed
and re-moulded, 25 years after it was produced, for release on his Elastic Dreams label.
