It’s the final LP single to keep excitement building before her self-titled debut album ‘Charlotte de Witte’ drops on November 7th. The single release marks the start of her 2nd-5th October London city takeover. Following the insane success of her NYC takeover, she plays 5 shows in 4 days in London, including The Shard, fabric, The Cause, Magazine + one TBA. The 12" begins with the title track “Power Of Thought” - which immediately erupts into a hypnotic techno beat interspersed with spoken mantras of mindfulness. This is followed by “Pria”, a pulsating journey featuring hypnotic, mantra-like vocals. The EP ends with ambient track “Abada”, punctuated with the occasional drum and chanting vocals before it quickly strips away to silence. “For ‘Power Of Thought’, I wanted to create an EP that touches deeper emotions and captivating the meditative trance you have when you let go on the dance floor,” says de Witte. “‘Pria’ has already brought me a lot of joy over the last few months when I have played it during my sets. It offers a moment of reflection and a chance to catch your breath during the rougher, more peak time tracks I play. ‘Abada’ is a track that I really enjoyed making. I discovered these magical chanting vocals and I just knew I wanted to use them in a track. Though this track is maybe less playable in one of my sets, I feel that Abada found its home on this EP and completes the ‘Power Of Thought’ circle.” Best known for her “dark and stripped-back” brand of techno and crossover to other sounds of the underground, Charlotte de Witte pushes the boundaries of the electronic genre with music that has a distinct and unforgettable sound that is uniquely her own. Charlotte de Witte takes charge of her KNTXT label's 15th release with the new Universal Consciousness EP. It comes after Amazingblaze - Venture EP and features four more powerful and psychedelic techno cuts. Charlotte is soon to be playing her biggest ever KNTXT party in mid April. It shall take place in her hometown of Ghent and see her play a historic 10 hour set to a vast crowd of people who shall go on an all night long journey. Also in April, Charlotte returns to London’s iconic Printworks for the first time in five years, this time with her KNTXT concept and once again is set to raise the roof. While staying busy on the road, she continues to curate the Apple Music x KNTXT page while cooking up ever fresh sounds in the studio. This latest EP is another subtle evolution in her signature style. Says Charlotte of the EP, "following up on my latest Asura EP in September, I decided to delve a bit deeper in the world of psychedelia. All the tracks of the EP are psy inspired, some more than others. I’ve been playing these tracks for a while now in the clubs. It’s been a real pleasure to see the crowd’s reaction and see the amount of track ID requests online. This one is from me to you, I hope you enjoy my Universal Consciousness EP!" Opener 'Satori' is dark and heavy. The chunky, raw drums hit hard and flat as the squelchy acid synths pan about the mix. An enchanting middle eastern vocal wail brings an extra trance-inducing element that is sure to lock in the hearts and minds of the crowd. The super 'Kali' is a slick and high speed piece that shows the love relation between psy trance and techno. The video game style synths peel off the groove next to alien sound effects, and the subtly evolving acid line burrows deep into your brain. Then comes the dynamic, bouncy and acid laced-title cut ‘Universal Consciousness’. It's a fulsome tune with rubbery kicks and visceral 303 loops that will melt the mind as dancers fall into its hypnotic and tripped out spell. Last of all is 'Ahimsa' with its bright, lashing acid synths and hammering kick drums. It's the perfect mix of physical groove and psyched-out synth work, and is perfect for both sweaty basements and vast main rooms alike. When the mystical flutes come in, it takes things to another level entirely This is another all consuming EP of innovative techno from Charlotte de Witte.

Charlotte de Witte Kicks Off 2024 With a New Label and Rework of One Of Techno’s Most Iconic Tracks



January 15,2024 - Today, techno force of nature Charlotte de Witte unveils a two-part homage to an iconic era of Belgium’s underground club scene with the debut of an archival label within her KNTXT imprint and a rework of one of the most anthemic techno tracks of all time. Appropriately titled Époque, this sonic time capsule aims to simultaneously preserve and reimagine the spirit, sounds and discotheque culture of the late 90’s and early 2000’s for a new generation. As head of the label, de Witte will kick off its release on February 9 with her own spin on the Belgian techno classic, “Universal Nation” by M.I.K.E Push.



Released in 1998 and originally written by M.I.K.E. Push as a B side for a different project, “Universal Nation” quickly solidified its reputation at the turn of the century as an iconic and defining track of this era in electronic music history. Reimagined through de Witte’s high-energy lens, this rework is an ode to one of her favorite classics.

Techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte releases a limited edition vinyl of her Overdrive EP. The Overdrive EP is the soundtrack to the break neck speed at which de Witte has pushed herself throughout her ascension to the top of the electronic music scene. An ode to the magic that happens when we drive ourselves past our peak to unlock a new bold, fearless, turbocharged identity, Overdrive delivers high-energy tracks that pulse through the body and electrify the senses. Things kicked off in New York City on May 17 when de Witte hosted a surprise set for thousands of fans on Orchard Street. Her 60-minute performance - which shutdown the iconic East Village street - was a manifestation of the Overdrive EP, with the energy of the crowd and de Witte’s unmistakable sound bouncing from building to building. It was held outside of the KNTXT pop-up at Extra Butter, which carried exclusive merchandise and apparel inspired by the EP. Selling out in less than 48 hours, the drop marked the first time KNTXT merchandise was sold in the United States. De Witte then performed two sold-out shows at Brooklyn Mirage. On June 3rd de Witte kicked off the second lap her larger Overdrive campaign on the KNTXT Label, debuting the Overdrive production Tour at Primavera Barcelona. Next to Spain, the Overdrive Tour will take de Witte's talents all over Europe to Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands and France this Summer.

Charlotte de Witte continues her fantastic year with brand new EP, Asura, on her KNTXT label. All three of the tracks on this release will be exclusively included in her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, which is scheduled to be broadcasted on 18th of September. As well as being back on the road and serving up her high-intensity DJ sets at the world's best clubs and festivals, Charlotte has also been busy in other areas. She has forged a new alliance with Apple Music and is now curating multiple exclusive mix series including a monthly KNTXT Residency Mix and KNTXT Active, which sees the Belgian artist and her label further investigate the connections between high-performance music, sports and BPMs. She has recently remixed the hugely influential trance classic 'The Age Of Love' by Age Of Love' alongside Enrico Sangiuliano and continues to A&R essential new tunes for the label. Says Charlotte of this EP, "with Asura EP I’m trying to give you a little insight into my musical influences by going back to my roots. We’re speaking about a young Charlotte who, about 12 / 13 years ago, got indulged in the world of electronic music by going to her first underground clubs and raves. From electro and techno to acid core and hardcore to psytrance. This EP flirts with the soundscapes of the latter." This EP finds Charlotte delve deep into her own past in electronic music with plenty of psychedelic influences. Opener Asura is a brightly lit techno track with big chords that bring the colour. They are sleek and metallic and sure to get hands in the air, with acid sounds and rumbling bass all adding extra weight and depth to this fantastic opener. 'Soma' is another dramatic and psychedelic track with hard-edged drums pounding away beneath celestial chords. They are mysterious and emotive and bring colour to the darkness. Last of all comes another big, psytrance-tinged and emotional roller coaster in 'Stigma' with its all-consuming techno groove and bass that sounds like it's fired from a machine gun. After an acidic breakdown, the drums roll again and even the biggest festival crowd is sure to be swept away. Charlotte de Witte leads from the front once more with her standout new Asura EP.
