Ukrainian/Australian producer and musician Tim Jackiw's techno heart beats strongly on this hugely impressive EP that also takes inspiration from the more classically-leaning great 20th century composers like Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. An obvious talent, his highly musical approach is evident across this record. His is a rich, deep, melodic style which pulsates into play on the record's opener, 'Crimea' where swooping strings and stabs swirl their way round a direct and pulsating electro-patterned bass in a quite masterful piece. Next up 'Oculus', with its slight change of pace, weaves together brittle synth melodies, sweet 808 cowbells and a deep insistent bass line, morphing into an emotive string-led climax, rounding off a fantastic A side. On the flip surging pads envelope a funky, solid bassline on "Element 115" and within a minute we're into a techno dream, pulling us along with its frenetic beat. Closing things is the subaquatic beauty of "Wisteria" at first a deep, gentle turn but then accented with a wonderful, gnarly bass line, pulling the soaring beauty of the music into an impossibly funky, danceable groove. High quality music for the mind and body; a masterful turn from one of techno's true talents. More

LABEL LAUNCH & DEBUT RELEASE
2024 marks a significant milestone for That Divine with the launch of its in-house record label. Spearheaded by core member artists Nicooly and Dylanh, along with the rest of the team, the label aims to showcase the best of electronic music talent, both locally and internationally, focusing on producing tracks that laid the dancefloor on fire.
The inaugural EP features tracks from resident Dylanh, local DJ and producer Factuaw, and renowned artist Christopher Ledger. The mastering is done by
Rob Small and to complement the auditory collector experience, That Divine will collaborate with visual artists to illustrate one side of the record.
For the debut release, Bulgarian artist and avid raver Noyu Noev brings the story behind Dylanh's track to life through his freestyle drawings on MS Paint,
offering a unique visual interpretation that enhances the listening experience. With plans for future collaborations already underway, That Divine's label is
set to make waves in the global music scene.


- Dylanh presents a haunting tale of a man with triple schizophrenia disorder, captured in a druggy horror movie-style breakbeat track perfect for the early hours of the morning.
- Factuaw's "Stranjah" captures the essence of the rave scene with its evocative soundscapes, inspired by the sea breeze, dancing shadows, and the euphoria of sunrise.
- Christopher Ledger remixes both tracks, adding his unique touch to the release, promising an unforgettable listening experience for electronic music enthusiasts. The second one will be released as a surprise bonus at some point, keep your eyes and ears open.

This special release is dedicated to Detroit DJ Legend Ken Collier. His untimely passing deeply touched me personally, as he was one of a small few who always supported me & my music. Because of Ken Collier, Detroit developed a dance scene, which inspired artist & producers to make dance records, which gave birth to Techno, which has provided careers for many of you in the business today. So I dare ask all you techno producers, djs, record labels, record shops, techno magazines, clubs which play techno music, and fans of techno to pay respect to Ken Collier just as you would our other fine music innovators.

However, this special compilation isn't about techno, it's about H.O.U.S.E. sounds - broadcasting it to you live from the inside in lovely Ste - re - o!!. This record contains no artist or track listing because i don't want this to be about who made the tracks, track titles, or even who wrote this commentary. This record is my personal tribute to him and how he has motivated me to make my contributions to house music. Thank you Ken Collier, for helping me grow not just as a dj or record producer, but as a person. Every dj and dance artist here in Detroit owes thanks to you for going out into the musical forest, chopping down trees, thus paving the way for us to build HOUSE!.
