Ever since the early days of the 90s when producers began experimenting with the signature motifs of high octane disco music within the 4 on the floors, there has been a steady stream of happy go lucky releases which have never failed to deliver the goods on the Dancefloor.

Say Namm label head BDK remains a devotee to both genres, and pours his passions into the tunes he crafts, with SNA001 demonstrating the vibe of the imprint and the direction it might be heading in. The tunes found on this release weren’t your run of the mill edits, oh no, they had heart, swerve and depth, with the samples pushed to their absolute limit both in terms of energy and creativity.

Keeping the fire very much alive and well, 002 provides the diversity and well roundedness we came to know and love with the first release, with each track showcasing a differing side to the relationships that persist between disco and house.

The EP’s opener ‘Just Can’t Be Without You’ draws plenty of focus to the baseline and looping vocal effect, a superb groove that delves deep into the soul. ‘All I Want’ keeps its cards close to its chest, with a thunderous rhythm section providing the basis for a heart clenching melodic section to come forth, and its release is top notch.

On the flip, ‘Oh! What a Life!’ places plenty of emphasis on the excellent drumming patterns, with the intricate key lines and vocal performance dwelling perfectly within the peaks and troughs. Rounding off the experience comes the aptly named ‘Disco Sauce’, which shifts perspective to the euphoria inducing guitar riff, one which dominates the top layer to perfection as the rest of the track also does the business over and over again.

So why not embrace the warmth and get lost within some superbly made disco-house, with riffs and hooks to remember and rhythm sections to really immerse yourself within. The Dancefloor is waiting…..

Cassimm debuts on Rekids with the jackin’ ‘House of Moves’ EP The Italian-born, London-based Cassimm lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time with the ‘House of Moves’ EP. It kicks off with ‘Body And Soul’, a hands-in-the-air affair backed by a slick, Jackin’ Tech House groove and earworm vocal. It’s a surefire recipe to tease the crowd into a dancefloor moment before Cassimm’s ‘I Hear You’ comes in with plenty of soul on the B-side. Dubby House chords form the base above swinging organic percussion, with another classic vocal working the nostalgia on top. Closing out the EP is the infectious ‘What Ya Looking At’, featuring stripped-back rhythm and big drops set to make for an even bigger crowd reaction. Signing to Rekids off the back of many Radio Slave-supported edits, Cassimm debuts on the label after the chart-topping ‘Say Yeah’ and ‘Love Desire, with supporters like Honey Dijon and Rekids affiliate Nic Fanciulli. Earth, Wind & Fire are obviously one of the greatest bands of all-time and both of these remixes are works of art in their own right. On the A side we have the much in-demand Blaze 'Shelter' remix of "Fantasy" which stretches this classic to 8.55 and finishes with an unbelievable Phillip Bailey acappella. As though that wasn't enough we've put the much sought-after Masters At Work remix of "Can't Hide Love"
a staple record since its debut in 2002.

Brian Harden is a second generation Chicago House head, starting in 1995 under the wings of Glenn Underground, being part of the legendary Strictly Jaz Unit. His work on Detroit's Mike Grant and his Moods & Grooves label should also be noted.

One of his most famous works is his second EP on Cajmere's Relief Records, originally issued in 1996. The EP contains some of the most prolific drum machine action ever committed to vinyl and stands for the sound that brought Chicago House on top of the underground Music map in the mid 90s.

All four tunes have been carefully remastered from the original material for maximum club performance!

Sähkömies is Jimi Tenor's solo debut from his NYC period in early 90's. Sähkömies (Electrician) is a mixture of great melodies embedded to Tenor's first ideas of his SunRa-flavoured jazz tableau. The album is combining Tenor's smokey sax with lo-fi electronics and experimentations with techno synths like Roland 303&606.

Originally released in 1992 on Muzak, an Italian label founded by Leo Mas, Fabrizio Lazzari and Andrea Gemolottoand, which was fundamental in establishing a new Italian dance floor electronic sound in the early 90s strongly intertwined with US influences from what was happening in Detroit and New York at the time. Officially re-issued with new remix of "Fearless" by Berlin based Trent, stripping down the feisty banger from its breakbeat elements and implementing a new Acid feel to it.

Somehow Klasse Wrecks has made it to 50 official releases, not bad for a label that wears its ignorance for others and 'the norm' proudly on its dirty sleeve. Over the years the label has released a multitude of various sounds, spanning bleep, rave, deep house, down tempo and the 50th release does well to encapsulate that free spirit and openess. Without much planning and totally by way of coincidence the responsibility lies with label co-owner Luca Lozano and its sonically a typical mixed bag as to be expected. Kicking off with restless acid stomping, the title track barges through the door...knocks over a few drinks before blossoming into a breakdown that propels the 303 deep into space and back again. On the A2, Lozano shows off his love for creaky breakbeats and DX donks on a track called 'Re-Mix'...which as far as we know isnt a remix of anything at all. The flip contains more raving beauties, 'Save Me From The Rave' might be a desperate plea but by the sounds of it he's still enjoying the madness, the producer makes an epic breakdown that might well signify the end of all Trance homages. Then the final track of the EP sounds like it could be played in a field in Glastonbury in 1993, its haunting vocal harmonies signify the sun is coming up soon and likely that we're about to start Chapter 2 of the Wrecks Wrebellion. The special edition sleeve artwork features examples of previous artwork from the last 50 records, overlaid in a typically chaotic manner by the label's designer, PLANETLUKE.COM.
