Sales Note
We're excited to welcome a debut on the label from one of our favourite post-millennium techno producers, Brian Gibbs, aka GUNJACK!!! A string of dynamite early releases on Birmingham's Sheep Records and his own Deafmosaic imprint, set this LA producer out from the crowd in the early to mid '00s, quickly amassing a long list of in-your-face EPs across a range of scene leading labels. His dark, percussive techno stylings coupled with a larger than life character made him one of the community's most colourful personalities, who we've always greatly appreciated.
Renewing his deep connection with techno in recent times and following on from a run of high-pressure dub techno offerings via his new label and collective Dubwars, Gunjack supplies us with four crunching club tracks in "Purple Room Trax Volume 1". Here he employs spiraling FM leads on the a-side with "Arson '78" and "Plastic Horns" while alternating between the suspenseful sirens of "Stormbells" and swarming, looped up power of "Liquid Crystals" on the flip. Unlike many one take live techno recordings, Gunjack's meticulously tweaked style leaves no fat, with a dynamic force that'll send the dancefloor into pandemonium. For fans of early Downwards/Zet, Black Nation etc. More

It's our great pleasure to welcome Spanish duo NX1 back onto the label following their Earwiggle debut in 2019. Much has changed in the world since then but in the world of NX1, Samot and Surit's commitment to tense sonic combat remains resolute. The "Shaked Ear" EP is some of their most accomplished work to date, and a fresh follow-up to their recent debut album on Nexe Records. Raw acid lines, earth-shaking bleeps, fizzing distortion, murky vocals and a melange of sweeping kick patterns are just some of the key ingredients on display over this crushing 5-tracker. Once again finding a unique place within hard-edged rhythmic techno and industrial, with an atmosphere all of its own, NX1 are back to shake the dancefloor to its core. More

Sales Note
Emerging from the ashes of Ireland's early rave era - that had been absorbed into the vastly commercialised club scene of the late '90s - was an oft forgotten, but exceptionally fertile period for electronic music in Ireland. Spearheaded by the then Dublin duo of Decal (later becoming the solo project of Alan O' Boyle), nurtured through nights like Phunk City at The Funnel, Model One at Switch and at a later point midweek club haunt Electric City, an unlikely Irish electro movement was born; breeding an abundance of new labels, parties and producers hungry to make their mark. "Dreams of Electric Bleep" revisits a crucial time of development (1999-2005), when production standards on the island of Ireland rose in perfect synchronicity with the collapse of the music industry as we knew it.
While Detroit, The Hague and London heavily influenced the sounds heard in the clubs, clubs in pubs, warehouses and great outdoors of Ireland - it was producers from Belfast, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Limerick and Mayo who created the first significant chunk of high-quality Irish electro, demonstrated here over a range of styles (originally released a variety of local and international labels). This double 12" release - featuring key tracks from Decal, Magnetize, Metroneem, Americhord, Phil Kieran, Takeover Sound, Chymera and John Braine - comes on picture-sleeved coke bottle clear vinyl, and includes a download code.
Designed by Jonny Costello (Adult Art Club) with liner notes from Stephen Rennicks (Drexciya Research Lab). Mastered by Paul Mac at Hardgroove Mastering, vinyl mastered and cut by Simon Davey at The Exchange Vinyl. More

After a 6-year hiatus, Faetch doesn't miss a beat on this return, powering through a range of dynamic dancefloor styles. Starting with the pounding funky jig of peak-time party track "Dialectic", the A-side moves on with the multi-coloured noises and squelching rhythms of "Untec". The stomping FM-riffing industrial techno of "H11" and deep commanding groove of "Jaunt" round off yet another expertly sound-designed 4 tracker, as we reach the completion of the initial Faetch trilogy! Luke's Anger is someone we've wanted to release for a long time. He's an act whose playful production style has been wiggling our ears for nearly 20 years, through releases on Don't, Uglyfunk, Sneaker Social Club, Tigerbeat 6, his own Bonus Round, and many more. Wearing various influences on his sleeve - like Neil Landstrumm, Paul Johnson (RIP), Daniel Bell, DJ Hyperactive, Thomas Bangalter, Subhead, Jerome Hill - the "Rear Wiggle EP" is Luke's ode to bleep techno at its intersection with swinging '90s Chicago. But it's more than that too. Over 5 tracks he encompasses many elements that modern techno needs more of: shuffle, screaming riffs, phat pumping bass, FUNK, hypnotism, the list goes. No matter what your taste, there's likely to be a dancefloor detonator here to make your night a memorable one. Big release from Luke, which we're very excited to put out. More

Our next release, and now long-awaited, is a collaboration between IMOGEN and Ben Pest. This follows IMOGEN's earlier appearance on Earwiggle which was a highlight of the Eel Behaviour series. We're big fans of Ben Pest and are very pleased to have the pair debuting their first full release together on the label.
From the hyperactive opener "Volts", that effortlessly juggles raw analogue techno with UK hardcore and all manner of rude bass wobbles, they soon delve into further chaos through the squawks and clatters of broken industrial cut "Gramalkin". "Shibooty" is a perky take on Chi-town techno, upping the funk levels through bustling shuffled 909s, humming bass and cartoonish vocal sequences. With the brooding acid electro of "Misjudgement Day", IMOGEN and Ben pile on some extra modular drones for the road, finishing off the EP in killer fashion. More

The deadly Spanish duo NX1 make their debut on Earwiggle with four sledgehammer statements of intent, on the simply titled "EW" EP. Raging bull techno is distilled through a variety of ingredients - distorted kicks, broken rhythms and carefully-edited grating synth sounds - mixed with a range of sinister acid lines and otherworldly atmospheres. For all types of spaces and occasions, pick your weapon (from EW 1-4) and get ready to dominate.

The sixth and final part of Eel Behaviour is here. Opening up with the pacy, acid-tinged power of Panmella Calix's "Tip", you could be forgiven for thinking that this dancefloor destroyer out of Scandinavia was made in the mid-nineties (and you could be right!). Suneel Shark's "Blunt But Fair" got lost in the Irish Sea many times before we finally reeled in the DAT on a fishing trip close to Portmarnock. The Arctic Ocean resident sprung out of the water on this one, in naturally fast and slippery style.
On the flip, French techno supremo Zadig delivers an acid-rave-breakbeat combo on "Red Eye", recalling the early era of labels like UR, Missile and Synewave, and creating a massive bomb in the process. That then brings us to Jon Hussey, who wraps up the record with an expert slice of bubbling, trippy acid. "Engine Brood" and its hypnotic properties transport us to another dimension, and the end stop on our Eel Behaviour journey. As ever, artwork is from Adult Art Club's Jonny Costello, with this one coming on clear vinyl. More

"For our fifth eel record, we round up some of modern techno's most distinct-sounding producers. Hector Oaks' "Just A Chengdu Dog" is a deadly, vocal-laced acid weapon that briefly comes up for air, before we're submerged into the murky atmosphere and glorious modulating riff of Mary Velo's "Submission". Sedvs & Peel's rumbling "Side Life" reconfigures '90s Birmingham techno to masterly effect, while the deep chords and blissful keys on Christopher Joseph's vox-led "Indifferent World" round off the ep in majestic fashion. Four absolute winners here, do not sleep!"

Hugely DJ-friendly 4 tracker, as Ctrls, SP-X, Jerome Hill and Bodyjack step up to the plate. Ctrls' "Breaker" is one of his most aggressive tracks to date - clinically produced, but with an energy that is about as clinical as a bull in a china shop. SP-X keeps the intensity high with the banging, warped groove of "Mine Smelter" - featuring a creaking riff that is soon met by a host of unruly lead sounds. Jerome Hill adds his trademark shuffle and synth wobble to the Chi-town workout of "Wormface", while Bodyjack slows things down, injecting house swing and snappy, repeating rhythms into the distinctly big-room "Keeping The Wolf From The Door".

t's with great pleasure that we offer up our next release from Dez Williams. One of our favourite producers of recent years through releases on standout UK labels like SCSI-AV, Acruacree, Ai and many others, we had noticed an absence of new 12"s since his storming doublepack on Patrick Pulsinger's Cheap imprint in 2008. So to put things right, here's an end to the Dez Williams vinyl drought - 4 tracks of bonafide Holyhead magic to rock the floor. Starting with the melting frequencies of 'Underground Persistent', acid is in control. Like an Emmanuel Top and Kosmik Messenger track if they'd ever collaborated, this combines swingy 808 drums and masterful Detroit strings to a searing acid-line that keeps going and going. Switching things into more straight-ahead acid territory on A2, 'Untitledacid 6' has pretty much one intention and that's to jack hard. Perhaps one of Dez's heaviest techno tracks to date, it's a perfect snapshot of many hedonistic nights spent at The Orbit throughout his formative techno years. 'Freedom' on the flip is a dense techno workout that joins a strong looped vocal and distorted percussion to swamping sound fx, in a rough but funky way. This time an expert pad progression brings the track to an unexpected but fitting finale. Finally, and showing what a complete supremo he is where dark floor-friendly electro is concerned, Dez turns in a blistering cut of sci-fi electro with 'Courtesy Call'. We could have made a number of records with the amount of great electro tracks that Dez does, but in this case we just picked our favourite of the bunch. Support from Dave Clarke, Perc, Laurent Garnier, Truss, JD Twitch, Tessela, Darko Esser, Paul Mac, Ancient Methods, Samuli Kemppi, Clouds, Kr!z, Smear, Minimum Syndicat, Lee Holman + more

Semi Delicious return for their 19th edition via label head Demi Riquisimo’s ‘Perilous Joy’ EP.
The 5 track release effortlessly meshes the classic influences synonymous with the Semi Delicious sound whist maintaining a forward thinking approach to the dance floor.
The A-side consists of ‘Sinewinder’ & ‘Direct Fix’. A pair of four to four tools that can be noted for their functionality as much as their unique sound. ‘Sinewinder’ being a more diva, big room affected track and ‘Direct Fix’ airing on the side of deepness with a head turning bass line. The flip kicks off with the title track ‘Perilous Joy’ which offers a nod to the sonics of dreamy, progressive Italian house of yesteryear. Up next is ‘Thyme After Time’ and with it more psychedelic house deepness. Demi slows the pace on the balearic chugger Autoglide’ to close out yet another impressive outing for one of 2024’s most talked about imprints. More

Sales Note
A1 - Tensor
Opening with an earworm minimal old school melody which lives long in the mind, Tensor sees JLM Productions kick off his latest Spatial EP in style, flexing his versatility in the genre with an exquisite Hot Pants break pattern in delightfully laid back fashion. Showcasing sublime filtering techniques, a lush 808 bassline and a nominal usage of kicks, Tensor lives long in the memory - and rightfully so.
A2 - Pseudovector
A real treat in store for fans of clean, edited breaks as JLM Productions immediately drops the crispest assortment of drum samples which will delight the ear and the feet in equal measure. Pseudovector is a real treat for the senses with an immense high note melody punctuating the track as the breaks build and build, adding layers of punchy detail which combine beautifully with cymbals, bongos and gentle atmospherics.
AA1 - Helios Drift
A more laid back piece that harks back to a special bygone age of slower atmospherics - as is Spatial's speciality - Helios Drift offers a feast of breakbeats with distinctive tribal maracas jubilantly shaping a unique vibe. Soothing padwork provides an elegant backdrop to the beats with rolled chords and sci fi melodies draped throughout, deconstructing towards a polished outro to this memorable mid-set breather.
AA2 - Wavefunction
Instant rolling 2-step vibes unfold as Wavefunction sees JLM Productions close the EP in style with a track which won't fail to move the discerning dancefloor. Immense 80's synthwave vibes tell a tale of cyber dystopia, highly evocative notes washing harmoniously with the breakbeats while a superb bassline solo in the breakdown invites contemplation from the audience before the beat rolls on to a reflective conclusion.

COHN - Let's Groove On
For over a decade, COHN has been crafting his unique blend of house music. The DJ and producer, from London, combines crisp beats and rich synth lines to ignite speakers and dancefloors with his disco and Italo-infused creations. Now, he arrives at Bordello with a new EP, “Kafka in the Sheets”, featuring four tracks.
The EP kicks off with “Margiela in the Streets”. Driven by a steady snare and a pulsating arpeggiator, a soaring melody of analogue arcs sails skyward.“Balearic Sun” awakens the listener with birdsong and bongos. A relaxing, revitalising and re-energising experience, guiding hearts and minds through an audio oasis of light wind instruments and soothing samples.
The energy ramps up with the powerful “Uptown and Queens”. A HI-NRG-inspired rhythm is set to a steady march, delivering a workout of wry smiles and bold builds. The EP concludes with “Let’s Groove On,” a track that welcomes the dawn. Classic hi-hats and toms are garnished with a low whistle while juddering vocals push the track forward, making it the perfect last dance before sunrise. More

Pavel Milyakov, AKA Buttechno, coming through with the kind of impeccably-produced, trance-inducing deftness we've come to expect.
A kindred spirit of the Oyster Cult, this is a union long overdue. While he’s often found working in horizontal zones, inhabiting the intersection between ambient and downtempo, these are dancefloor dynamics for pure contemplation. Gone is the amorphous abstraction of releases like ‘PSY X’ and the kind output reserved for release under his birth name, instead opting for a lean, hypnotic kind of minimalism.
‘OYSTER57’ picks up where the ‘Inorganic Demons’ LP and aptly-titled ‘Minimal Cuts’ series left off. Saying that, the first three tracks navigate territory gloomier than the aforementioned; uneasy at times but deeply engrossing, smudged and frayed into heads-down interzones of tunnelling throb and icy melodic flourish. Girder-strength pressure primed for metaphysical experience.
Then, like a vestige of the finest turn-of-the-century progressive trance, ’bleeps’ ends proceedings on a slight departure. A showcase of restraint from the Berlin-based maestro and a fitting way to close. More

Sales Note
A1 - Shadowplay
A delicate intro with samples of bustling twilight life gradually eases you into Shadowplay, before a retrospective melody echoes around an uncertain soundscape. Light breaks and pads develop the vibe before the track transforms as the unmistakable Demon's Theme break returns, superbly crafted rolling amens taking you right back to 1992 in ASC's expertly executed, inimitable Spatial style.
A2 - Lacuna
Crisp, sharp breaks open Lacuna in rampant stuttering style, a sci-fi aura riddling this detailed piece with hi hats and machine gun kicks, quickly conjuring a suspenseful intrigue alongside constant pads and epic effects. Driven by deep sub bass and a haunting melody that captivates the listener, long cymbals and synthwork continue before the second half of the track deepens further before the breaks subside for a lush, calming outro.
AA1 - Dimensions
ASC delivers a stunning, deeply atmospheric track with Dimensions, introduced by swathes of elegant synthwork before the Hot Pants breaks begin, chopped elegantly while a heavy bassline drops and the coloured soundscape whooshes and swirls as yearning vocals reverberate. After a sullen breakdown the breaks return and switch up to a rolling 2-step pattern which will leave you and your dancefloor drifting to another realm.
AA2 - Southern Cross
Closing the EP we have Southern Cross, a pensive number with a delicate, intricate selection of breaks - refined with exquisite clarity - set to washes of pads and synths across the mix. ASC utilises a simple high note melody to punctuate proceedings over the swirling atmospherics and breaks, creating a subtle ghostly feel to the track - perfect for a mid set direction shift or an introspective set closer as well as mesmerising headphone material.

Sales Note
A1 - Wireframe
Label stalwart Aural Imbalance returns to Spatial with the dreamy Wireframe, opening with a sea of beautiful ambient padwork which ushers in a sumptuous, brisk Circles break pattern to the forefront. A myriad of light touch samples & effects twist and twirl over the composition with a fantastic 808 bassline that complements the show-stealing breaks, completing another exquisite collage of atmospheric bliss.
A2 - Hollow Sun
Another fine exploration in atmospheric serenity, Hollow Sun opens with light hats and high-pass filtered breaks which develop into a thick, weighty slice of breakbeat bliss. Like a gentle breeze on a warm summer night, the tapestry of airy melodies beckon the listener into a realm of sonic wonder, the breaks, bass and effects crafting the kind of inimitable soft yet danceable atmosphere Aural Imbalance has truly mastered in his Spatial guise.
AA1 - Distant Stars
Mixing up the vibe with flowing keys and metallic undertones in the intro, heavy old-school breaks with a dense analogue kick drum seize the limelight as Aural Imbalance showcases an impressively subtle break editing skillset with Distant stars. While a knowing aura of elegance and grace build an ethereal soundscape with the padwork, the breaks playfully jostle in the mix towards a clean DJ-friendly outro. Sublime.
AA2 - Eclipse
Low-pass break filtering and an introspective, slightly tense atmosphere introduce Eclipse, before a real treat to the senses unfolds as heavy breakwork thunders hard into the mix with crisp snares and rolling drums. It's a symphony of light and shadow, of tension and release as Aural Imbalance continues to expand his incredible repertoire of sound on Spatial, rounding off another superb explorative EP

B2 Aural Imbalance - Eclipse

On Albacete Knife Al Wootton offers up four hardware tracks of raw percussion and
ambience dubbed out to infinity. Drawing on the Post-Punk elements of his Holy Tongue project and transmuting them for the sound-system deejays, the EP covers low slung steppers, trance inducing percussion trips, psyched out Goa beatdowns and mutoid hardcore reductions. Raw and bristling psychedelic techno dubs for out there heads and feet. More
