KEITA SANO - Love Is Emotion
Keita Sano is a prolific Japanese producer who has released on revered labels such as Mister Saturday Night, Lets Play House, Morris Audio and 1080P. His fusion of dark, distorted, acidic textures and crunchy disco beats gives his produc tions a unique sound which works perfectly for Delusions Of Grandeur and the label is proud to welcome him for his debut DOG EP entitled Love Is Emotion. The title track comes on like a proverbial runaway train with heavy, pounding beats and bassline forging things ahead while the most twisted, tripped out FX rise and fall creating an absolute juggernaut of a track which takes no prisoners. A decept ively simple DJ tool which is loaded with drama for maximum impact on the more left of centre dance floors. Up next we have Violet which takes a low-slung deep house approach but with the grit and dirt that Keita always brings to the party. The first half of the track teases with tension-building chords and syncopated bassline which bounces around a massive four on the floor kick drum. Things fall away in the middle of the track to reveal a beautiful, heartwarming piano part, setting the scene before things get truly epic with orchestral strings bringing a touch of the film noir to proceedings. I’m A Man picks up the pace again for an intense acid work out which pushes the sonic boundaries to the limits with seriously warped FX creating mayhem around a simple, percussive disco groove. As secret weapon DJ tools go, this is right up there. Closing out this mind-bending release Keita remains in experimental mode on Love Is Emotion offsetting melodic arpeggios and sweet chords with off-kilter sonic madness ensuring things remain dark, dirty and deep.

Keita Sano - Legacy From Leyton (Dayzero Remix)
Keita Sano from Okayama is back on Row Records with a new 5 track EP. Reminiscent of his 'Bowl Of Water’ EP in 2015, which marked the label's first release, his latest work fits perfectly with Row’s catalog. Here, roughness meets rhythmic clarity to ignite the dancefloor.
Included is a bangin' remix by Dayzero who has just released two EPs on Zam Zam and Livity Sound. More

Keita Sano returns to Let’s Play House with another album, the physical iteration of which we’re presenting as two separately-packed 12-inch EPs. First is Kubo, a sharp and cutting collection of four house ditties that are equal parts eccentrically off-kilter and warmly welcoming, esoterically out there and remarkably familiar, in a way only Sano can pull off.

With Totsu , we complete our two-part Keita Sano album. This one, like Kubo before, is a fiery maelstrom of house and disco dance floor destruction that has a dusting of that impossible-to-place Keita Sano absurdity. A magnetic sprint through MPC-fueled workouts, trance-y space-outs, and loopy hypnotizers. Together, Kubo and Totsu make up O¯totsu , an eight-track long-player that will be made available as a digital release as well as a special limited-edition vinyl double-pack

For its eleventh release Italian label What Ever Not, founded by Dodi Palese and Dan Mela, crosses the world to catch up with Japanese producer Keita Sano for a release of singular, no specific style. The contributions debt to disco, house and techno, all of which boast an old school sprint making one move from the inside. The four-track pack melts afro funk contaminations with scented, crunchy and deeply varied patterns, sampled vocal elements and looping melodies

KEITA SANO is part of Japan s new wave of music producers. The Okayama resident has been weaving his way through house, techno and electronica releases displaying an affinity to old school processes and vintage gear. With releases clocked up on Mister Saturday Night, 1080p, Lower Parts, Row, Strictly Groove Recordings, Enother Blessing, Holic Trax and Spring Theory he has shown his eclectic tastes and zany approach to music. For Sano making music is like keeping a diary, this year will see many more releases and his new live show.

"technoid yet lo-fi version of music for discotheques that's uniquely his own. He should be playing a venue near you soon, if the world is fair..."
Tracklist: 1. Full Of Love , 2. Leave The Floor, 3. Honey, 4. On The Floor, 5. Vood, 6. Sucker Pt.2, 7. None of Your Business
Short about the producer:
Keita Sano is born in 1989 in Okayama. He has released music on more labels(1080p, Rett I Fletta, Let's Play House, Mister Saturday Night, Crue-L etc.) than forests have trees. He makes a technoid yet lo-fi version of music for discotheques that's uniquely his own. He should be playing a venue near you soon, if the world is fair...
My first meeting with Keita Sano
A little over a year ago I spent a day off in the lovely seaside town Enoshima. There is a
really nice club, cafe and concert venue there called Oppa-La which I had played the previous night. So my dear friend and japanese promoter Hagi tells me we should go back there the following night as there will be local bands playing followed by a live-set from Keita Sano. I was only vaguely familiar with his music but had noticed his name crop up more and more frequently so off we went.
a couple of beers later and around the third track in : somehow managing to merge the playfullness of disco with the physical impact of techno I'm sold there and then.
over a friendly chat and more beers later I clumsily present an offer to release his music and hopefully even all the things he played that night. a few days later the album as you hold in front of you AND more or less a replica of that live-set arrives in my inbox.

Keita Sano is part of Japan's new wave of music producers and he´s been on our map since a very long while.
With releases on Let´s Play House, Mister Saturday Night, 1080p, Lower Parts, Row, Strictly Groove Recordings, Enother Blessing, Holic Trax and Spring Theory Keito
He´s not only not unknown to us but
has shown his eclectic taste and zany approach to music at home and aboard.
And his first 4 Track EP offering for your´s truly does proved that once more so .
The Okayama resident has been weaving his way through house, techno and electronica releases displaying an affinity to old school processes and vintage gear which you can hear in every bit of his classy unmistakable sound.
Raw, rugged & slightly alarming but dry and focused to a massive funk attitude, is this the actual "big room underground"?
However, be it the top or water dripping cellar floor this is modern analogue techno at it´s most stringent - and hey there´s a full album it coming later this year.
All available on Full Pupp's "techno not techno"offshoot Rett I Fletta!!!

We finished 2015 with a six-track jumbo EP from Borrowed Identity and thought we'd repeat the same trick for 2016, though this time with originals from Okayama-based producer Keita Sano. EYE begins with “Keep an Eye Out, Pt. 2,” a propulsive song that sounds like a lost contender for the Knight Rider theme. “Own Signal” keeps things dark, but with a spartan bleakness. The side finishes with “Smoker,” another manic cut that'll give you chills. The flip finds Keita exploring brighter sounds without losing that industrial, jagged edge. “TRMK” is essentially a beat track that'll ignite any dance floor and “Fix” is a herky-jerky ditty that'll get you stomping around the club like a possessed reveler. The 12”'s cherry on top is “Think Twice,” a funky ass-shaker that centers around a crackly sample of crowd noise, a chopped-up disco vocal, and bouncy bass. A fiery finale for this hedonistic party.

Blaze - 20:20 Vision Remix
West London’s Slip ‘N Slide presents a special four-track package on wax for the first time, as Seth Troxler and Franck Roger deliver remixes of the 1997 Blaze favourite ‘Lovelee Dae’. An iconic artist who needs little introduction, Seth Troxler’s name is synonymous with American house and techno of the last two decades, with his formative years in Detroit shaping his sound before moving to the techno capital of the world Berlin. His ventures as a label boss, and with Night Tales, further cemented the talent as an underground hero - he now joins the likes of Carl Craig, Roman Flügel, and Isolée in giving ‘Lovelee Dae’ an expertly crafted remix, building from minimal grooves to a grand and immersive wash of sound. Also stepping up on remix duties is Parisian producer, crate digger and label boss of Real Tone Records, Franck Roger, who adds his signature beat focussed approach to the iconic track. This vinyl package also includes Blaze’s striking original, as well as one of the very first remixes from the late 90s, the 20:20 Vision remix of which used copies go for big money. This is an essential 12 inch EP for any true house fan.

Shortinfo:
Master Plan was the Chicago based dance music project of Pepper Gomez and Tom O’Callahan. Spanning from 1984 to 1986, the groups development is in sync with the dance music scene of Chicago during that era. While their first record „Pushin’ Too Hard“ is a Windy City version of the NYC club music of the time and its European cross-pollination, „Electric Baile“ from two years later down the line is almost a quantum jump into house music. With the engineering help of Matt Warren, it bears the marks of Ron Hardy, Chip E, Farley Jackmaster Funk or the WBMX dance party craze, if you will. Here you have remastered and updated versions by Enzo Elia and Gerd Janson. The first ones’ edit attempt of „Electric Baile“ ignited this edition. A custom-tailored main mix is completed by a dub and useful bonus beat version to do, what DJs used to do. Concluded by two edits of „Pushin’ Too Hard“ by GJ, you get two great slices of yesterday that are still major dance music blue prints today.

The Aztecs return. UR receives the message. The Aztecs and the Hermanos make the transition from the guitar player. Natives didn’t take the robbery of Mother Earth’s land or her culture lightly. A new warrior culture, the Electronics did not back down when a war broke out with the programmers over this production. Those who know were avenged for the transgression. Strong beautiful music with a stronger beautiful spirit. A first in the history of music: big can lose. Hear it and feel the power of the cats that still prowl the streets of Detroit. More

When you’re thinking about the early days of disco music, you automatically think of the record that dominated the dance floors and dance charts: “Dancer” by Gino Soccio.
With this record the Canadian producer and synthesizer wizard became an indispensable part of the golden disco years.
Four more albums followed, and 6 hit singles entered the charts worldwide.
In 1984 the producer disappeared without a trace.
Gino Soccio, one of the pioneers of disco music, we thank you for your music.
Random Vinyl presents the official Gino Soccio Tribute. A new version of one of his best-known songs “Remember”. We celebrate his life and career. With nothing but respect to the original, Marc Hartman produced this 2024 version. Vocals have been done by Italo Disco legend Fred Ventura. The mysterious lady with the French spoken words now finally also has been unraveled and added by Ivy Sharrard. And if that wasn't enough, Flemming Dalum made a banging Remix that you always will Remember! More
