Danish composer, musician and producer Trentemøller announces his new studio album 'Memoria' which is set for release in early 2022 on his own label In My Room alongside the first single 'In The Gloaming' which is released September 10th 2021. Anders Trentemøller's sixth studio album, Memoria, seems to exist at the
confluence of inspiration, coincidence, and maybe even a little bit of the supernatural.
A recent, unanticipated drop of four songs, in the form of two singles (No One Quite Like You, and Golden Sun), might leave one surprised to find that a full album's worth of material was also waiting in the wings.
As with most Trentemøller releases, it's a body of songs that are thematically linked by many melodic threads.
The first single from the upcoming album, 'In The Gloaming', which is released in September 2021, implies the arc of the album might have actually begun late in the day, giving the sensation of waking in the evening. Nocturne's dawning. Stars emerge in the form of percussive arpeggios.
2019's Trentemøller album 'Obverse' was an exercise in what could be done if the prospect of performing the songs onstage wasn't a factor. It opened up some doors, and signaled a new chapter. Memoria, even considering its resplendence, almost feels like it demands to be presented live as well.

Trentemøller returns with his fifth studio album 'Obverse' in September 2019! Anders Trentemøller is a well-known multi-instrumentalist, but perhaps the one he's most adept at is the studio itself. 'Obverse' is the result of him expanding that skill even further. 'Obverse' often feels like an instrumental album because it started life as one, the driving philosophy being "what if the pressure of having to perform these songs live is removed entirely?" Granting yourself the freedom to chase down every idea a studio offers comes with privileges. What happens when you reverse a synth part mid-verse? Why not send an entire track through a faulty distortion pedal? Inspiration reveals itself in a variety of forms and, before long, a simple chord progression contorts into something entirely new. It's a work method that yielded great results for the legendary German Kosmiche/Motorik experimentalists of the 1970's. Intentional or not, 'Obverse' embodies more than a little of that spirit without even a hint of pastiche.
So it only makes sense that 'Obverse' would stray from its original roadmap. In due time, half of the nascent compositions featured singers, including Lina Tullgren, Lisbet Fritze, and jennylee, of Warpaint, another band deeply influenced by dream pop. While 'Obverse' was born from a different work ethic than previous efforts, it also continues an arc that started in 2006. Each successive effort has represented a logical next step beyond the album before, and 'Obverse' absolutely picks up where Fixion left off.
For the past decade Trentemøller has been perfecting this form of sonic chiaroscuro to conjure up images of severe landscapes, and to mirror the Scandinavian climate, where half the year the sun barely sets, and the other it barely tops the horizon. While there has been a film noir element in his previous work, 'Obverse' is the first time each song has felt like a collection of pocket soundtracks.
By fusing together a love of dream pop, dark synth-based music, film scores, and a deep connection with the stark Nordic panoramas, Anders has created an inimitable language. Ultimately 'Obverse' resides in a genre all its own.
Format:
The Double-Vinyl appears in a gatefold-sleeve, printed innersleves and includes a download code.

Videos:

Singles:
'Sleeper', 'In The Garden' and 'Try A Little' will be released before the album alongside music videos.
Artwork:
The packaging of a Trentemøller record is intrinsically linked to the songs contained therein, though it's never been more the case than with this release. Los Angeles based artist Jesse Draxler has contributed a cornerstone in the form of original art, which examines the black and the white, the dynamic vs. the serene, the big picture vs. the minutiae. It's a case study in complementary contrasts, like the album itself.

Special vinyl re-issue of Trentemøller's groundbreaking debut album. Includes all of the 13 songs on vinyl for the first time. Triple-vinyl in gatefold sleeve.
Trentemøller's debut album remains one of the few genre-defining and groundbreaking
albums in many regards. It's still being praised for its composition and sounddesign alike and sounds as fresh and breathtaking today as it did when it was originally released in 2006.
The Last Resort - a beautifully crafted, astonishing masterpiece, that will leave you breathless. The 13
instrumental tracks together form a wordless musical story, almost like the soundtrack of a movie. It
manages to capture a whole range of emotions in subtle melodic miniatures, dreamy ambiences, dusty beats, deep dub-tracks and driving groove-excursions. An ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours and moods. Although it's an electronic album, it also incorporates live-drums, guitars, bass and other acoustic instruments like celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and even DJ scratching to create a more organic feel. The album received fantastic acclaim from both music fans and journalists around the world and made it into the top-lists of the month, the year, the decade - alongside an array of awards for best production or best album.
Back in 2006, the original pressing only included a selection of songs from the original 13-track album release. It missed out on songs which had been released on singles or didn't "fit" on the so called "vinyl edition". Due to 'public demand' and simply because this album deserves a proper vinyl
release we are happy to finally present, for the first time, the full album on vinyl. It spans of three vinyl discs and is packed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve which also holds a download-code. The recut has been carefully crafted from first generation, orignal masters by Calyx in Berlin. Since the album has been praised for its fantastic sound the primary directive was to cut the lacquers for the re-issue so that they would sound exactly the same as the original release, which has been the CD version of the album. No 'digital remastering' or any other alterations have been applied.
All 13 songs of the classic album on one vinyl release for the first time. Triple-Vinyl edition. Gatefold sleeve. download code. original sound-quality. NO digital remastering.

CD Digipack Release
In My Room proudly presents 'Fixion', the fourth full-length offering from Anders Trentemøller.
With 'Fixion', Anders has crafted a logical successor to 2013's 'Lost' - a record that in many ways managed to truly capture the visceral live experience of Trentemøller as a full-band. In much the same manner that 'Lost' built on from the somber cinematic classic that was 'Into The Great Wide Yonder', 'Fixion' has embraced the Danish artist's trademark melancholy and matured it into something uniquely atmospheric and darkly romantic.

Tracklist:
A. Redefine
B. Redefine (TOM And His Computer Remix)
''Redefine' is the second single taken from Trentemøller's new album 'Fixion' and features Marie Fisker on vocals. Marie Fisker, a mainstay of the Trentemøller live constellation, has also been a long-time studio collaborator of Anders and her four songs on 'Fixion' mark their third musical partnership.
"Marie has such a powerful and unique voice that fits my music quite naturally. I had her in mind as soon as I started writing. She ended up singing on four of the songs so she's definitely the voice that kind of leads you through the album. Having toured so extensively with
Marie, we've come to understand each other's capacities and that really pushes us to challenge and inspire each other. I reckon that's the driving force behind our songwriting."
Fellow-Dane Thomas Bertelsen aka TOM And His Computer contributes a brilliant remix that underlines the song's dark tones and moves it into the fields of Electronica.
'Redefine' also comes with a new video by Åsa Riton and Andreas Emenius who are directing the music videos as well as creating tour visuals and art installations that will be shown in galleries in Copenhagen, New York and Paris. The result will be a total media experience that touches on physical locations, online platforms and video installations.

TRENTEMOLLER - Where The Shadows Fall
Limited Deluxe Collectors Edition 2LP,180g, Gatefold with Spot Varnish+ MP3 Download + Download Bonus Track Rework!

A. River In Me
B. River In Me (Trentemøller Remix)
'River In Me' is the first single taken from Trentemøller's new album 'Fixion'. While the new album is scheduled for a September release, 'River In Me' will be available from June 24th and features Jehnny Beth of Savages on vocals, while Trentemøller contributed his own rework for the B-side.
'I've been a huge Savages fan since their debut record.' says Trentemøller. ' I met their producer Johnny Hostile at a festival in Paris and ended up inviting him to support us on our tour. Jehnny actually tagged along for some of the dates. Afterwards, he dropped me a line and asked me to mix the next Savages record 'Adore Life'. Myself, Johnny and Jehnny built a real friendship in the process so it felt right to ask her to sing on a few of the songs. She has this really intense and unique voice and it ended up being really challenging, and fun, to take that voice out of the Savages' universe and into mine.'
Swedish director Åsa Riton and Swedish artist Andreas Emenius created an outstanding video for 'River In Me' which will be published on the release date of the single.
The new album 'Fixion' follows on three full length albums 'The Last Resort', 'Into The Great Wide Yonder' and 'Lost' as well as 'artist-compilations' like 'The Trentemøller Chronicles', 'Reworked/Remixed', 'Live In Copenhagen' and 'Late Night Tales'.

LP tracklist:
A1 River Of Life (Trentemøller Remix) , A2 Come Undone (Toydrum Remix) , A3 Candy Tongue (Jenny Wilson Version) , B1 Come Undone (Trentemøller Remix) , B2 Deceive (Trentemøller’s Lost & Found Remix) , B3 River Of Life (T.O.M. And His Computer Remix) , B4 Deceive (Unkwon Remix)
Fascination Set of REMIXES of Trentemøller’s recent album opus Lost that already served as the logical continuation of his varied work and delivered his signature sound intact, yet it really didn’t sound like anything he’d ever produced before. Streamlined, song-structured and guitar-driven, Lost boasted a dozen tracks, each offering something of interest for anyone who has ever been a fan of the Copenhagen producer.
Now the new ‘Lost Reworks’ release gleefully rips up the rule book again, as Trentemøller is joined by some carefully-chosen conspirators - Toydrum (aka James Lavelle and Pablo Clements of UNKLE), Jenny Wilson, T.O.M. And His Computer, Unkwon and Trentemøller - in dismantling the intricate musical tapestry of the album, recontextualising the instrumental experimentation, the trashed analog consoles, and the entire sweep of influences, from krautrock to classical.
The original version of “River Of Life” abandons its throbbing guitars and soaring strings for dark and retro electroclash tones on Trentemøller’s own remix, and introspective, electro-gaze in the hands of T.O.M. And His Computer. “Come Undone” stalked at a slow and measured pace, and Trentemøller’s steamy new version recalls vintage Goldfrapp in marrying sultry vocals and seductive machine music, while Toydrum beefs up the raw, spiky electro rock elements. The melancholic pop beauty of “Candy Tongue” is remade with ghostly atmospherics and evocative, exotic instrumentation via Jenny Wilson’s version, and while one remix of “Deceive” made its debut in a stunning EP package from earlier this year - Unkwon’s misty, dusty broken beat version - it is counterbalanced by Trentemøller’s own glitchy, cinematic 'Lost & Found' Remix.

A: Gravity (feat. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens) B: Gravity (Pinkunoizu Remix) (feat. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens)
Gravity’ is the third single taken from the new third studio album ‘Lost’ by Trentemøller. With the drum setting inspired by early Krautrock this wonderful and mulitlayered song still breathes the Trentemøller signature. The vocals have been contributed by Jana Hunter, singer of Baltimore based band ‘Lower Dens’ and melt perfectly with ‘Gravity’. On the B-side we’ll find a remix by Copenhagen & Berlin based band Pinkunoizu who are currently stirring a buzz with their new album ‘The Drop’.Their version puts the song in a new light with re-arranged drums and a hypnotic build. The video for ‘Gravity’ has been filmed and directed in Los Angeles by Elvira Lind.

We’re extremely proud to present “Lost”, the third full-length venture from Anders Trentemøller. “Lost”, much like its predecessor “Into the Great Wide Yonder” (2010), serves not only as a logical continuation of his work, but also as yet another fuck-you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into.
The Trentemøller sound is definitely left intact, yet as a whole it really doesn’t sound like anything he’s ever produced before.
Differing from “Into The Great Wide Yonder”, which was a rather bold cinematic landscape, “Lost” is definitely a far more streamlined affair and way more “song structured”. It’s the kind of record one can only produce after endless months of studio isolation. Just where his creativity flourishes best.

‘Candy Tongue’ is the second single taken from the upcoming third studio album ‘Lost’ by Trentemøller.
The beautiful song features the vocals of danish singer/songwriter Marie Fisker. Trentemøller already teamed up with Fisker on a song for the ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ LP and she’s also become a firm member of Trentemøller’s live band, who are touring the European summer festivals at the moment.
‘Candy Tongue’ slowly builds from whispered, emotional vocals into a rousing song with oversteering guitars and evoking chants.
Following on from the 1st single ‘Never Stop Running’, the new single also reveals more of the upcoming, curiously awaited new longplayer which breathes all aspects of the electronic years as well as the guitar driven second album - in a new, fresh and light-footed way with a wealth of fantastic songs, incredibly well produced.
The new single will be accompanied by beautiful music video, directed and produced by Thomas Jessen.

‘Anders Trentemøller transcends genres ... with a cinematic scope’, the NME once summarized and he is known for the ‘captivating complexity’ of his songs and ‘melancholic contradictions’ in both songwriting and sounddesign. It’s been a long and exciting way from his debut long player ‘The Last Resort’ (2006), through projects like ‘The Trentemøller Chronicles’ or ‘Remixed/Reworked’ to his second album ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ (2010).
The musical evolution of the Danish musical mastermind never was a linear ‘logical progression’ as it is rather characterised by twists and turns and lately maybe most importantly influenced by the development into a fully fledged live band, that meanwhile toured the globe a couple of times with huge success.
With the arrival of Trentemøller’s third longplayer ‘Lost’, which is due for release in September 2013 on Trentemøller’s label In My Room, it seems as if everything he’s done in the past was destined for leading to the new album. The new album breathes all aspects of the electronic years as well as the guitar driven second album - in a fresh, light-footed way with a wealth of fantastic songs, incredibly well produced.
Now we are happy and proud to present the first single taken off the new album. ‘Never Stop Running’ is an empathetic, personal, evolving song, that perfectly melts with the expressive vocals of The Drums singer Jonny Pierce with that beautiful melancholia that warms your heart.
The vibe of the song is captured in the video by director and cinematographer Frederik Jacobi. Both the song and the video comprehend the question ‘Who Am I?’. While Trentemøller’s song carefully carves out different shades and moods centered around the main motif, Jacobi took his camera to Los Angeles and used it to ‘listen’ to people and to create a visual space for the song, while the cover image appears courtesy of Asger Carlsen.
‘Never Stop Running’ will be performed live for the first time on 29th May at the O2 Arena in London when Trentemøller will be supporting the Depeche Mode concert.

After a rip-roaring tour of the US with his live band at the end of 2011, a healthy wedge of new remixes under his belt for the likes of David Lynch, The Dø, The Drums and M83, Copenhagen‘s Anders Trentemøller remains in the spotlight. Last year also saw the release of ‘Reworked / Remixed‘, a must-have double CD release featuring some of the inspired producer‘s favourite remixes, and his pick from remixes of his music by other artists. The release was preceded by the mixed-media collaboration with Efterklang in September 2011, where both artists remixed each other‘s songs in the ‘Raincoats vs Tide‘ EP. Now we are excited to announce the next chapter of that project, with a special Trentemøller version of Gun Club‘s ‘My Dreams‘, featuring the sultry vocal talents of Marie Fisker. With a heavy electronic approach and slow-burning tempo, the ingenious re-working takes pride of place on a lovely 7‘‘ record, backed with a haunting live acoustic version.Marie Fisker, who ist part of Trentemøller’s live band, provides the urging, aching vocals as Trentemøller crafts a slowly thumping and evolving moment of wonder, inspired by the dramatic synths. ‘You cannot take my dreams, you cannot take and steal from this body‘ Fisker hauntingly cries, as we
get drawn into this melancholic and beautiful story for modern times. A charming acoustic version features as a partner to the full-bodied original, where we hear yet another side
to the song - the pairing of gifted song writing and Fisker‘s sensitive vocal talents stand out in a hair-raising live performance.

Anders Trentemøller has become one of the most respected names in cutting edge electronic music in the last few years. His rise to notoriety was sparked by his
early, techy releases for Poker Flat and Audiomatique and has since gone on to stellar highs with his own personal take on the genre, spanning, pop, rock, indie and classical. His debut album 'The Last Resort‘ was released in 2006 to much international acclaim, and the producer also began to become an in-demand remixer
in the house and techno world. As the decade wore on his sound continued to progress, opening up his studio to more live instrumentation, and a looser, rock-meets electronic vibe with his stunning 'Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ LP.Now this special double CD and double vinyl release celebrates some of the producer’s favourite remixes he completed for other artists, and also some of his personal picks where other musicians have reworked his music. With over 20 super-slick productions to choose from, this is a real treat for any Trentemøller fan, or indeed a great introduction into his sound. From crisp electronic beats, to atmospheric and filmic moments, to heavy post-rock mutations and beyond. This sheer variety in store here is testament to the talent and musical vision of Anders Trentemøller. All the reworked tracks are taken from the 'Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ album, which fused melancholic, emotional melodies with a more indie/electro-rock studio focus.

Taken from Trentemøller's new full-length album, ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder', a stunning achievement in modern production and cinematic songwriting, ‚Shades of Marble' has been reworked by the man himself, along rising artists KiNK and Kasper Bjørke.
Trentemøller's dramatic, edgy and daring remix of his own string drenched opus is nothing short of breathtaking. Leaning towards dancefloors with an appreciation for epic qualities, this expertly constructed re-think will surely be heard well into the festival season.
The inimitable man from Sofia, KiNK rises to the challenge of remixing ‚Shades Of Marble' and does so heroically. The pleasing result is a tough, Chicago meets Berlin jack-jam that leads to tripped out and freaky moments in the break, until his trademark drum machines do the rest!
Finally another bright star of the Danish scene, Kasper Bjørke, has his say with his deeper and more low slung remix that leads the listening into satisfying late night realms. Full of funk and melancholy, this is a welcome treat for fans of Bjørke's characteristic productions.

Denmark‘s most forward thinking export Trentemøller announces a new single on his own ‚In My Room‘ label, twisting 60s psychedelia into a modern electronic-punk beatdown, complete with remixes from none other than Andrew Weatherall, Lulu Rouge and Trentemøller himself. Packed with overdriven synth and guitar textures, live/processed drums and a pacy, apocalyptic vibe, the original version of the remarkable ‚Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!‘
taken from the new album ,Into The Great Wide Yonder’ is perhaps Anders Trentemøller‘s ode to some of the many other spectrums of electronic music and noise that he loves. Narly, brash and raw, this is a wild leap into the unknown, all the while underpinned by the amazing production we‘ve
come to expect from this ever-developing artist. The Trentemøller remix version (actually taking pride and place on as the first cut) is a freaky, tripping jam that fuses tough electronics with a free, Doors-esque vibe that really marks a new and fresh sound for the producer.
London rave pioneer and long-since visionary producer Andrew Weatherall hands in his ‚Prinz‘ remix that takes the elements on a real journey through the fictional desert islands of the North Sea in a spooked-out, bassline led jam. Dub echoes, cosmic filters and tape delay are in full effect in this amazing interpretation. Finally Copenhagen‘s Lulu Rouge aka DJ T.O.M. and Buda crank up the bass for their slower paced, dub-step inspired remix that works all manner of clever edits and fills into a raw and industrial landscape of abrasive synths and some of the more spectacular elements of the original. Heavy, deep and dope all at the same time! The phenomenal video for ‚Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!‘ has been filmed at the unforgettable show at the main stage at the Roskilde festival last year.

‚....Even Though You‘re With Another Girl‘ is the amazing second single to be taken from Trentemøller‘s stunning new album ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder‘. After the huge reaction to the beautiful longplayer, which mixes classic Trentemøller production mastery with more of an analogue, song based, indie-feel, it’s time to carry on with this intriguing set of remixes.
Side by side comes a hot 12‘‘ that features remixes by Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Pantha Du Prince. The Kollektive‘ s half of the record slaps a heavy dose of deep, dark funk into the mix, with this ingenious lo-slung version. Postminimal- punk electronic drums meet warbling synths and reduced, subliminal use of the vocals in a delicate and stylish mixture of pop-meets-deepest-electronica. Dial‘s man of the hour Pantha Du Prince creates a typically high-end remix based on his trademark twinkling melodies and warmly grooving understated beats. The Dub version twists and turns with unpredictable laid-back intensity as a rousing chorus of strings and harmonic elements fuse under dubbed out vocal elements.

Firstly, on a strictly limited 7‘‘, the original version of ‚... Even Though You‘re With Another Girl‘ chimes and drifts across the A side. This hauntingly moving love song features spinetingling vocals by Josephine Philip, and could perhaps be Trentemøller‘s most touching recording yet. Josphine is the singer & keyboard player in the new promising Copenhagen based indie rock band Darkness Falls. Apart from that Josephine
joined Trentemøller on the spectacular liveshow at Roskilde last year.
Gracing the B side of this special 7‘‘ is Mikael Simpson‘s version, which simply allows pianos, strings and tape overdubs to bring out the beauty in the vocal. Simpson is one of Denmarks most popular singer/songwriters and already contributed a very special version of “Moan” from Trentemøller’s debut “The Last Resort” for which he also wrote the lyrics. Mikael also joins Trentemøller Live in Concert and we’re looking forward to see him on the upcoming tourdates in October.

On ‘Sycamore Feeling’, his new gem, the Danish producer introduces an upcoming female singer from his hometown Copenhagen: Marie Fisker, one of several vocalists to appear on the soon to be released album ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ - the follow up of his highly succesful debut ‘The Last Resort’ (2006).
Rough around the edges, ‘Sycamore Feeling’ definitely sounds more indie- rock than his previous releases, thanks to the use of live drums as well as electric and acoustic guitars, yet the result is vintage Trentemøller, who played all instruments except the acoustic guitar himself. As in all of his music, the colours in the arrangement continually change, making it one of these tracks that you can keep on playing, discovering new details all the time.
The ‘Sycamore Feeling’ CD-single contains six tracks, four of which take the song in a completely different direction. Where the original is definitely made for home listening, some of the remixes are aimed at the DJ-community. Even though Trentemøller himself would have been perfectly capable of producing a solid dancefloor version himself, this time around he decided to leave that to two of the great names of minimal-techno, Gui Boratto and Thomas Schumacher. Gui Boratto turns ‘Sycamore Feeling’ into a convincing club-track, with lighter colours and a straight four to the floor drive. Using cut-ups and snippets of Fisker’s vocal, he transforms the mood of the original without losing it’s great melodic feel. Thomas Schumacher takes the track even further and comes up with a driving minimal techno workout, stripping away many of the original layers, yet using the vocal to great effect. A third remix is offered by Danish electronic outfit Mofus, which builds an effective minimalistic arrangement with spacey atmospherics around Fisker’s longing vocals. This version is another fine example of the way Trentemøller keeps discovering new (Danish) talent, that nicely complements his own sound.
Anders Trentemøller offers his own alternate version of ‘Sycamore Feeling’, with even more electric guitars than the original,

We are proud to present ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’, the second album of Anders Trentemøller and the follow up of the highly succesful ‘The Last Resort’ (2006). Just like his debut, which struck a chord with new audiences all around the world, ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ is a truly remarkable album, offering as much depth and soul as it’s predecessor, yet sounding ultimately fresh and different. Above all, the ten tracks show an artist that’s willing to take risks, find in- spiration in new places and move beyond the sound of his previous album. Trentemøller: ‘Of course I didn’t want to make the same record twice. So the album is for me a logic development from ’The Last Resort’’. Instead he just started to collect new ideas, without thinking too much about the direction the music would take him: ‘The only thing I knew was that I’d want the music to sound more organic and analog.’ Compared to the intimate electronic mood pieces of ‘The Last Resort’, the ten tracks on the new album indeed have a more strange, mystic and dramatic vibe, with a lot of dynamics, distorted, driving twang- guitars, real and electronic drums mixed with haunting synths. With ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ Trentemøller is not only exploring new moody and atmospheric universes, but combines his sense for glorious soundscapes with a firm melodic and tonal touch. The original chord progressions and feel for melodies is fundamental to him, and that‘s also the reason why most of the instruments are played by Trentemøller himself on this album. ‚I like the possibility to be surprised that chords and melodies change into something new. The music that I like most lets the themes and sounds come back in different disguises‘. The Danish multi instrumentalist and producer shows an unexpected talent for finding vocalists that fit the mood of his songs. The first single of the album, the beautifully tender ‘Sycamore Feeling’, featuring Marie Fisker, is a typical highlight. In fact, all the vocal tracks are stunning. Trentemøller chose to collaborate with the English artist Fyfe Dangerfield from UK based Guillemots and Danish singers Solveig Sandnes and Josephine Philip from the debuting Danish indie girlduo Darkness Falls. They all manage to add their own sound and flavour to the album, while their voices blend perfectly with Trentemøller’s atmospheric songs. This is an album that keeps growing for a long time, as every track works its way stealthily under your skin. The sound of ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might be one step ahead of his previous work, but we still easily recognize the hand of Trentemøller, in this inspired collection of songs and atmospheres. The sonic richness, sharp contrasts and daring musical colours are vintage Trentemøller. Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might demand more from the listener than ‘The Last Resort’, as it ended up being quite a dramatic album. This album is more noisy, there’s more happening.‘ But getting to know the tracks definitely is a rewarding experience, as the album will keep growing and growing for a long time to come and its safe to say that Anders Trentemøller has managed to create

These exclusive recordings of tracks complete with an ecstatic 25,000-strong crowd in the background literally floating on air, were taken from a magical live show at the Roskilde Festival, Denmark, 2007, and need to be heard to be believed!
The package also includes three new remixes and versions from Mikael Simpson, Kasper Bjørke and Gluteus Maximus.
TRENTEMØLLER
Danish Producer, Remixer, DJ and Live Performer Anders Trentemøller has risen to the heights of international success usually only connected with artists in more mainstream, pop realms... His outstanding skills and talent for heart-wrenching melodic moments, fused with his trademark hi-tech dancefloor minimalism, have helped him gain fans across the globe, and blur the boundaries between cutting-edge, underground quality and mass appreciation. Trentemøller has proven that he cannot only work the dancefloor into a frenzy, but also has an exquisite ear for melodies and song structures that most could only wish for. His numerous singles and remixes, spearheaded by two exceptional and award-winning albums, ‚The Last Resort‘ (Poker Flat, 2006), and ‚The Trentemøller Chronicles‘ (Audiomatique, 2007) gained him all manner of praise, from press accolades to a non stop sell-out world tour. After countless requests for live recordings, we are excited to announce this very special showcase of ‚Trentemøller Live in Concert‘.

Only released in October 2006, Anders Trentemøller‘s stunning debut-album „The Last Resort“ already evolved into one of the most successful independent albums of the year. Raving reviews all over the place, various elections as „album of the year“ and solid playlists at the radios express the huge interest in the fantastic album. While 2006 has been topped of with a tour through Australia, the first Trentemøller highlight in 2007 will be the release of „Moan“, the second single from the album. For the a-side Trentemøller himself created a brilliant remix of the „Moan“-Vocal Version, which has been released on the Bonus-CD of the limited edition album only. Trentemøller managed to keep the mystic melancholic vibe of the track featuring the vocals of danish talent Ane Trolle, but adds punshy drums, screaming synths and some more guitars to guarantee serious dancefloor-action. Radioslave aka Matt Edwards aka Rekid aka Quite Village, on of the most in demand remix artists at the moment (Moby, Booka Shade, Justice, Peace Division, Pet Shop Boys, Joakim etc) contributed a great remix on the flipside. Slowly building over reduced drumpatterns their mix culminates into a manic wall of sound. While Poker Flat 81 features the vocal versions of both Trentemøller‘s and Radioslve‘s remixes, the instrumental and dub versions will be released simultaneously on Poker Flat White 01 early March 2007 - accompanied by a new video!Tracklistings:PFR81 A: Moan - Trentemøller remixB: Moan - Radio Slave‘s remix for KPFRWHITE01A: Moan - Trentemøller Dub-remixB: Moan - Radio Slave‘s remix for K Instrumentalmore Trentemøller releases: The Last Resort - album CD (pfrcd18)The Last Resort - vinyl edition (pfrlp18)Always Something Better (pfr76)Trentemøller T-Shirt (pfrtren, girl, s, m, l, xl)Nam Nam EP (pfr71)Sunstroke (pfr61)Polar Shift (pfr56)Physical Fraction (am04)

Finally: the long awaited Trentemøller debut album - maybe one of the most anticipated independent albums of the year - is ready to be released in October! The danish producer Anders Trentemøller is one of the hottest artists on the electronic circuit - the man of the moment! His 12“es broke many sales-records and he‘s been voted as the shooting star in 2005 by many reader polls. So the time is right to release his debut album The Last Resort“ - a beautifully crafted, astonishing masterpiece, that will leave you breathless. The 13 instrumental tracks together form a wordless musical story, almost like the soundtrack of a movie. It manages to capture a whole range of emotions in subtle melodic miniatures, dreamy ambiences, dusty beats, deep dub-tracks and driving groove-excursions. An ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours and moods, „The Last Resort“ without a doubt contains Trentemøller’s best work to date. Although it’s an electronic album, it also incorporates live-drums, guitars, bass and other acoustic instruments like celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and even DJ scratching to create a more organic feel. „Something I couldn’t manage with just electronica“, according to the producer.

Trentemøller, - Always Something Better
Anders Trentemøller, the shooting star of 2005, needs no further introduction. He has been stringing together hit after hit, most recently the „Nam Nam EP“ on Poker Flat which offered an initial insight into his upcoming album „The Last Resort“. Now the new 12“ brings the first full-blown single outtake. The featured album track is „Always Something Better – a vocal version featuring Richard Davis - and has a calmer, almost dreamy mood compared to the club tracks he’s released. An easy-going groove, some wonderful Celesta chords (hand-played by Anders) and the typical Trentemøller sound melt with the outstanding vocals by Richard Davis, who already graced Swayzak‘s „Speak Easy“ on K7. Furthermore, Davis is known for his longplayers on Punkt Musik and Kitty-Yo as well as an array of singles and remixes.A brilliant track with a beautiful atmosphere.Of course the A1 slot is reserved for the „Trentemøller remix“, a true dancefloor anthem. A kicking bass drum, quirky sounds and the „Trentemøller twist“ make this a real summer hit. While the A1 mix is a reduced vocal version, you‘ll find the „dub mix“ on B1. To top things off, the one and only Matthew Herbert contributes his very own interpretation on the „Bubble mix“. He disrupts and rearranges the original sounds and song structures to create a new unsettled, but fascinating soundscape. Big one.Tracklisting: A1: Trentemøller remixA2: Vocal Version feat. Trentemøller, - Killer kat
Recently voted „hottest newcomer“ in several international music magazines, the Danish producer Anders Trentemøller took a break from working on his almost completed debut album (to be released in September on Poker Flat) to finish a brand new slamming three track EP. After „Polar Shift“ (pfr56) and „Sunstroke“ (pfr61) these new and quite different tracks prove once more Trentemøller‘s outstanding ability to create atmospheric and significant songs in his own, unique handwriting: He adds layer upon layer of sound and instruments which fall into place perfectly, whilst seeming, at the same time, to be dangerously non-compatible. The fascination of his music lays within the contrast between large, vast echo chambers and sharp, direct in-your-face sound bites. The title track „Nam Nam“ on the A1 proves that dance music can be much more than just a functional dancefloor tool. Building slowly, the track tells a story. A mere few, but well chosen, figures and instruments carry on the plot in perfect harmony. „Vamp Vinyl Edit“ on A2 reveals a first glimpse of the upcoming Trentemøller album. This jazzy tune features a bombastically cool bass-lick,accompanied by a snappy brush and easygoing snaps, giving air to an ultra cool, relaxed mood. Finally „Killer Kat“ on the flip side is a pure peak-time weapon with a funky, rolling bassline, sharp claps and hihats, topped off with some tricky gadgetry.

Trentemøller, - Sunstroke
2
Trentemøller, - Minimal Fox
Anders Trentemøller from Copenhagen is without a doubt one of the hottest producers of underground techno at the moment. Since „Physical Fraction“ on Audiomatique and „Polar Shift“ on Poker Flat earned him lots of attention we are happy to present his second EP on Poker Flat. This time a mega-deep, vast kick-drum, crisp crackles and loads of weird samples are causing a „Sunstroke“ on the a-side. A deep masculine hum floats over the tune and the skillfully arranged track plays around with reverb rooms so cleverly leading one into a world of acoustic hallucinations. The „Minimal Fox“ on the b-side carefully stalks from behind before it unfolds into an incredible drive. Only a few producers manage to create such a tight buildup of suspense with such a sparse instrumentation like Trentemøller and the new EP is definitely another proof of his outstanding production skills.

Trentemøller, - Polar Shift
2
Trentemøller, - Chameleon
After a series of brilliant remixes (for Naked, Kontor, Uno etc.) and only three EPs under his own name on Naked, Out of Orbit and particularly the highly successful „Physical Fraction“ on Audiomatique, Anders Trentemøller from Copenhagen now releases his first EP on Poker Flat. The titletrack „Polar Shift“ is a highly elaborate tech-tune. Kicking off with crackling minimal rhythm patterns, Trentemøller layers on more and more sounds and instruments which fall into place perfectly while seeming to be dangerously non-compatible at the same time. „Polar Shift“ builds over four episodes with almost completely different soundsettings and peaks with dirty rocking synth lines. Trentemøller has already managed to develop his own signature sound; the fascination of his music lays within the contrast between large and vast echo chambers and sharp, direct in-your-face sound bits. This principle of contradiction becomes even more obvious on the second track „Chameleon“, which Trentemøller recorded in a couple of nights on his laptop in a hotelroom in Cairo. The track opens up with dark and deep bass-sounds in a very large echo chamber before one hihat adds a swinging mood to the track allowing more and more abstract sounds to barge in. The construction of the song leaves room for a lot of unexpected turns and twists.“Polar Shift” is a classy 12” that will rock advanced dancefloors, but also offers enough “brainfood” for an eclectic listening session.
