SHORT INFO:
Monochord are Vienna-based musicians Bernhard Hammer and Jakob Schneidewind, two
thirds of Elektro Guzzi, though Monochord paints a different picture. Electroacoustic
experiments and filmic elements define the music that develops instinctively yet irrevocably,
a sense of forward motion setting them apart. Compositionally minimal, their tracks
maximise their inherent potential all the way through to their logical and even illogical end.
Referencing electronica, ambient, shoegaze and at times modern classical harmonics,
Monochord builds and unbuilds in a slow heartbeat. Introspective and filmic, its quiet and
non-confrontational nature makes Monochord move in the interzone between various
spheres. Their music escapes definition and that is its truest definition. Its subtle pulse and
evocative and drony feel invite and inspire.

We have been playing techno with drums, bass and guitar for 15 years. During this time we
have released ten albums, seven EPs and various singles and remixes. We have played
around 500 concerts at clubs and festivals around the world. For a lot of releases and shows
we have had the opportunity to collaborate with great like-minded musicians. Some of these
collaborations have been recorded but have not been available to the public until now. Some
of our most eclectic yet danceable tracks recorded as a trio also haven’t found their way to
our audience yet. Although we usually focus on searching for new sounds in the future we
now allow ourselves to find them in our past.
This is a compilation of “lost tracks” that have been waiting on our harddrives to be
rediscovered and finally made available to you - Enjoy! More

Elektro Guzzi from Vienna are back with their new, their ninth album »Triangle«. Since their
first, self-titled album in 2010, Elektro Guzzi have been working on a variety of techno that is
not programmed on a computer or sequencer, but rather analogously performed by using
electric bass (Jakob Schneidewind), drums (Bernhard Breuer) and electric guitar (Bernhard
Hammer) and it is techno-music, that arises in the moment of interaction - a music that often
develops in the direction of cosmic music. On »Triangle«, Elektro Guzzi overcame the
natural, »learned« sound of their instruments. The futuristic concept of techno shines
through all the more as a role model - that there is precisely this clear idea of transcending
the present by playing a hypnotic, interlocking music of the future. »Triangle« is the logical
next step for a band that is always looking for »more«, for departure, for consistency. The
forced break of the lockdowns 2020/2021 and the restrictions in the context of the crisis
made the band move closer together; on »Triangle«, Elektro Guzzi increased their efficiency
to the unbelievable.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is always a reliable source for a good quote: "We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise, we harden." Sure as death, there is an excerpt of his that states the opposite. In the case of Robert Dietz, it holds true. Since his first appearance on Running Back in 2009 (Forward Snipping), he did a marvelous job staying on his toes as a producer and DJ.
Rejuve-Nation showcases his talent in various alleys of electronic (dance) music with Crane Song being the prime cut here. You will get exposed to proggy house with an intelligent brush in two slightly different mixes. Imagine if Euro dance went to get a college degree or a bumper car floor and you are almost there: an almost irresistible sing a long without lyrics.
If you need help afterwards, Deranged Self Therapy is exactly what you need. IDM meets new wave drums, poignant synths mix with an upbeat hook to create a ballet piece for lovesick robots.
Centro Di Gravita reconnects those qualities with the aforementioned Crane Song ones, while giving it an acid spin, before the ambient salts of Any Plan(t)s This Weekend closes the EP off like a confident sketch for the end of a beautiful summer. A bouquet of bangers for different needs.

The next release on Nastia's imprint NECHTO introduces Stanislav Tolkachev's
latest offering, 'NECH024.' A pioneer of the Ukrainian techno scene, Tolkachev's
journey into techno began in the early 2000s in Dnipro, Ukraine. Renowned for his
atonal modular sound, he continues to showcase his mastery of synths in this
upcoming release with dozens of timeless tunes under his belt.

Having a longstanding connection with Nastia and the NECHTO label, Tolkachev's
collaboration with the label has been in the making for years. Nastia's unwavering
support during difficult times has fostered a genuine friendship between them,
paving the way for a much anticipated release.
The tracks, recorded approximately five years ago in his studio in Kyiv, are live
recordings made using analog modular synthesizers and FM groovebox, adding a
touch of hooliganism and romance to the mix.

Having patiently awaited the perfect moment, Tolkachev now unveils the five tracks,
characterised by his signature minimalistic, synth-led and atmospheric sound. More

Parisian producer and longtime Too Slow To Disco collaborator Vibes4YourSoul returns for his third TSTD Edits volume, this time a 2 tracker 7 Inch full of smooth, funky Brazilian vibes!
Too Slow To Disco regulars will remember his name from several relases so far: his standout remix for L’impératrice on the “TSTD – En France” compilation, his remix for Poolside from “The Sunset Manifesto”, his edits on all 5 Yacht Disco Edit compialtions, and the quickly sold out double 7 inch with Edits we released in 2020. He is one of the crème of new reworkers and edit-producers, that have specialized in those soulful, smooth slow jams and midtempo tracks, that Djs all love for their warm up sets. Berlin’s Midnight In A Toyshop aka Mørbeck delivers the ‘Dreams For Sale’ EP this May on
a white and red marbled 12’’, comprised of four dreamy, lo-fi leaning House cuts.

Since 2011, the Berlin born and raised producer and DJ Mørbeck has been delivering
numerous acclaimed Techno releases via Vault Series and his own Code Is Law imprint as
well as making his mark on the global club scene as a DJ. Fast forward to 2023 and we see
Mørbeck inaugurate his house guise, Midnight In A Toyshop, aimed to showcase his
passion for House productions in a lighter shade, whilst still retaining his signature
rawness.


Setting the tone to open the EP is ‘100’s & 1000’s’, laying down warbling pad sequences and
crunchy saturated drums in combination with a bouncy bass line and hypnotic vocal hooks
throughout. The aptly titled ‘90’s Memento’ follows, encapsulating a classic House sound
with bright, mesmeric chords, rumbling subs, processed vocal lines and a bumpy drum
machine workout.


On the flip-side title-track ‘Dreams For Sale’ shifts focus to Trance tinged staccato
melodies, cinematic atmospherics, acid licks and a heavily swung rhythm before ‘Every
Night’ rounds out the EP on a classic Deep House tip via ethereal pads, robust percussion,
circling synth lines and a vacillating low-end drive.

The eye of the storm: welcome to Tornado Wallace's debut album! The accumulation of about four years of work, with tracks written in Berlin and Melbourne, 'Lonely Planet' is nothing like you may have expected from the Australian expat. No stranger to fans and followers of ESP Institute, Beats in Space and Music From Memory's sister Label Second Circle, Tornado Wallace's strain of releases so far merged functionality with a musical playfulness that led him to find himself as one of the producer's behind José Padilla's International Feel album. Here, he leaves the needs of the dance floor behind in order to create a magical mystery tour de trance into his and our inner jungle.

How about some references? New Age sounds meet new wave melodies, Grace Jones runs into the Dire Straits at Compass Point, while a Korg Mini Pops and a Roland CR78 make amends for Sly & Robbie's absence, Michael Mann pictures Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness', Robert Rauschenberg tries his luck at naturalism and an imagined Wally Badarou echoes through all of it.

Sandwiched between the title track and the yearning beauty of the album's final point 'Healing Feeling', you get all of that as well as collaborations with and contributions of NO ZU, David Hischfelder and the voice of Sui Zhen on 'Today', who would easily make Anna Domino take her proverbial hat off.

Tornado Wallace created an album that supersedes the requirements and expectations of a debut. Like a lost Island Records or a never released Made to Measure album, 'Lonely Planet' soundtracks notions and ideas that recall the nostalgic future in the past as much as it looks ahead.
