The Illegal Disco Limited series is already so wrong it's right and once again it is the inimitable Monsieur Van Pratt dropping two undeniable edits on this one. 'What About Me' kicks off and is a clever flip of a classic groove that has a Chic-style baseline keeping busy down below natty piano work and with hefty drums powering it on. 'Sunset Driver' is a chugging retro-future disco sound with Michael Jackson vocals from an elusive demo. On the flip, Van Pratt teams up with Boogietraxx for a bright take on the Japanese viral fav 'Stay With Me' and Boogietraxx then takes over solo, first with the funk-driven 'Moving Down the Line' before closing with the feel-good spark of 'Pretty Good Feeling.'

A forgotten classic from 1997, rediscovered by the new generation of house leaders.

Originally released in the late ’90s, Marius Acke’s Crucial Traxx EP series is one of those rare gems — deep, funky, soulful, and full of the raw, analog groove that defines the golden age of house. Missed by many at the time, the records are now enjoying a well-deserved revival, championed by today’s leading selectors like Dam Swindle, ANOTR, Chris Stussy, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Barry Can’t Swim, Salute, Chloé Caillet, Known Artist, Sidney Charles, Shonky, Danny Howard and more.

Already a respected figure in the Antwerp scene back then, Marius Acke had co-produced numerous records for Mixz Productions and the iconic ARS label, including remixes for acts like Technotronic. His sound blended US-influenced house with early hip-hop sensibilities and deep, synth-laced textures, earning him a cult following among vinyl diggers and local DJs alike.

Happiness Therapy is proud to give new life to this essential piece of Belgian house history with a reissue of the Crucial Traxx EP series. All tracks have been carefully remastered and will be available on both vinyl and digital formats, including a special limited edition of 100 translucent red vinyl copies. HTCT01 marks the beginning of a reissue series dedicated to the lost gems of Marius Acke’s discography.

Favorite Recordings proudly presents this new official single reissue of Music Madness by Beckie Bell: A killer disco anthem produced in 1980 by famous French producer, Pierre “Berjot” Jaubert. Pierre Jaubert has been one of the great producers from the Funk and Disco French music scene during the 70s and 80s, mostly known for his work with the group ICE, who he then transformed into Lafayette Afro Rock Band. During his long and prolific career, he’s been involved with many artists and labels, including Motown, Chantal Curtis (Brenda Mitchell, Michelle), Leroy Gomes (Santa Esmeralda), or Robert Helms to name just a few. “Music Madness” is a brilliant disco track from Beckie Bell’s rare album, In Need Of… After highlighting it in an extended version, on the compilation French Disco Boogie Sounds (2015), Favorite Recordings decided to reissue this killer song on a proper 12inch single. The package including the original album version and two hot remixes by Tom Noble and Voilaaa.

Part 1 of the Drexciya re-issue series! A new repress of the Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller series by Drexciya!! It comes with new artwork by critically acclaimed American artist Ellen Gallagher, who created a series of paintings titled Watery Ecstatic, inspired by Drexciya's music - which she discovered while immersed in the mid-'90s New York techno scene. Now partly based in New York and Rotterdam, the connection was easily made. Her Watery Ecstatic series serves as the inspiration for the covers of this new edition of Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller, with embossed artwork offering a tactile, physical complement to Drexciya's immersive sound world.
Drexciya needs no introduction for most - it's one of the most influential projects in techno history. But for some, this might serve as an entry point into their sonic universe and the broader (Detroit) techno culture. Their music emerged from a harsh environment, and it shows - raw, uncompromising, and boundary-pushing. Drexciya redefined Detroit techno like no one else. Their unique sound and mythical aesthetic made them a true cult phenomenon. Guided by Mad Mike Banks of Underground Resistance, their early releases were works of art in themselves. Drexciya stands for the darker, deeper edges of techno and electro - not just club music, but a profound extension of the mind and spirit. Twenty years after the release of Deep Sea Dweller (their debut), and ten years after Grava 4 (their final album), we've released Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller - an almost complete collection of their early works, remastered from the original tapes. Since the original releases - on labels like Underground Resistance - had such a strong identity and still stand on their own, this reissue doesn't aim to recreate that magic. Instead, we've stirred up the catalogue, taking the tracks out of their original context to give the 'in-the-know' listener a fresh experience, and the new listener a perfect introduction to Drexciya's sonic universe. Enjoy the ride!

An album beloved by fans since its release in March 2004, Ultravisitor is one of the most popular records in Squarepusher’s entire discography. A unique blend of studio and live recordings, it’s an excellent showcase for the diversity of his music: from the frenetic title track to the funky jazz of “Iambic 9 Poetry” to the sunlit bliss of “Tommib Help Buss” and beyond.

Following last year’s 20th-anniversary expanded deluxe reissue, the standalone remastered edition is now widely available. Carefully remastered from the original tapes by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering and overseen by Tom Jenkinson - who was never entirely happy with the original release - this edition brings fresh dynamics and details in the tracks.
