we are proud to announce the vinyl reissue of one of the best and most complex japanese jazz fusion albums, 1987’s breeze by hiroyuki namba, eiji kawamura, and toshiro imaizumi’s band atlas. hiroyuki namba is one of the most important japanese keyboardist of the ’80s with a legacy that in-cludes japanese cosmic classic “who done it?” and “tropical explosion,” a sought-after gem by diggers. in addition to his work with his progressive rock band sense of wonder, he’s also known as a member of tatsuro yamashita’s band. eiji kawamura is a highly respected arranger who has worked on projects by major recording artists like kyoko koizumi and hideaki tokunaga, and atlas’ third member toshiro imaizumi is a skilled studio musician who’s also worked on major projects. Walter Gibbons, a true master of the mix, a disco legend, a pioneer of dance music. There's literally very few who can lay claim to progressing the artform of studio mixing and technique than the late Gibbons. His contribution to contemporary music cannot be understated, first as a DJ where his drum laced experimentation captured the ears and minds of his peers and the dancers, then later as a mixer and studio genius where he continued on his quest. Often fixated on the percussion and breaks within records his versions would often dive into spaced out, dubby and stripped back territory that very few of his peers were even contemplating at that time, fervently reconstructing the tracks themselves and often the time, space and dancefloor within which the record was being played. A true original, Gibbons was behind many of the 'definitive' versions of the classics, his unique style often catapulting records that were just fine in their original form into brand new colourful, cosmic interpretations that flourished sonically and rhythmically with brand new sounds that bristled with vision. Salsoul Records thought a well programmed and thought out retrospective of this legends output was in order and this incredible collection of tracks is where we find ourselves. A stellar compilation across 2 heavyweight slabs of wax featuring of some of Gibbons' finest works. Included you'll find genre defining cuts like his mixes of Double Exposure, Loleatta Holloway, Love Committee, First Choice and many more. More

A man of many aliases and jack of as many trades, Dominic Glynn aka Syzygy (together with Justin McKay) aka Zentik aka Fluid aka Mind Control aka Luke Warmwater resurfaces from the sunken slumber of years to re-establish his name as a much unsung artisan and key exponent of the UK electronic scene’s heyday.

Two unreleased tracks and another two enhanced re-edits compose the “Tri-Phase” EP here presented - each cut making for a snapshot of Glynn’s fast evolution as an electronic music producer, a career he was then running in parallel to his day work for the BBC including all-time TV classic series Doctor Who.

Starting with the yet unheard ‘Little Pieces of Love’, Syzygy provides us with a dynamic trancey roller that does the splits between hectic 303-riddled leads, catchy vocal hooks sheer old-school style and generously layered FXs extending the scope to further horizon-clearing soulfulness.

Drawing towards more muscular, club-ready techno linearity, ‘Luminous 4AM’ reveals an explosive combo of driving momentum, melodic richness and high-impact bass engineering, tailored to take the rave to a whole other level of consciousness. No-holds-barred floor weaponry set for tearaway peak-time ops.

Initially released on No Bones in the 90s, the other two cuts ‘And It’s Wonderful’ as Luke Warmwater and ’The Man With Three Heads’ as Fluid boast a distinct style. Whilst the first rushes us headfirst into a bumpy maelstrom of chromed techno fitted with an array of acid-drenched attributes and Chicagoan piano tropes, the latter has us zoning out to a playful reverie of trip-hop-laced, ambientoid jazz-house. More

The DAPHNI (AKA CARIBOU) remix of DONNELL PITMAN's "DO YOU WANNA"? first surfaced on CARIBOU's BBC Essential Mix in early 2020. After receiving tons of requests it was time to get it out officially. 2 summertime gems on the flipside: "SUMMERTIME GIRLS" & "NEED MY LOVE". Due end of OCT. More

The first in a series of compilations by Jura Soundsystem is a blend of Dub, Ambient, Downtempo, Boogie and Proto House with a focus on music never before released on Vinyl, sought after out of print titles and some special versions edited specifically for the album.

The intention with this project was to delve deeper into the reissue pond and unearth some lesser known tracks and artists. Highlights include Smackos (AKA Legowelt) Ambient epic ‘We Can Watch Alf In The Hotel Room’, never before released on Vinyl, the Dub / Psych hybrid of Minus Group’s ‘Black Shadow’, Kash’s sought after ‘Percussion Sundance’ and special edits of Ken Dang and Tabou Combo. The end of the album includes some soothing Ambient tools. More
