Nous'klaer Audio proudly presents Nicola Cruz's latest full-length album, Kinesia. On his third studio album, the Ecuadorian producer masterfully blends rich studio sessions with deep analog synthesis. Kinesia invites the listener to channel an inner voice - to pick up thoughts, words, and messages as if ancient information traveling through time has been received. This album functions as a form of 'antenna,' translating these ideas into compositions and movement. On the flip, Om Unit turns the healing sounds of Organic into a powerful club tool fusing influences of jungle, dubstep & electronica. The record is completed by Norwegian classical artist Julia Gjertsen, whose layered pianos playfully transform Feroit into a stunning kosmische track. More

Nous'klaer Audio and Sound & Vision's RE:VIVE initiative have teamed up for the third and final LP in their film scoring trilogy. Capping off with a soundtrack made for a progressive, angular take on a color-soaked, geometric educational archival film. Combined with a soundtrack for a film that is a personal intensifier to the city of Rotterdam, which is the home of Nous'klaer Audio. The collaboration invites two musicians to compose for these archival films from the collection of Sound & Vision, the national media archive of the Netherlands. This final instalment features through and through Rotterdammer, Kems Kriol and the Amsterdam based Turkish composer, pianist and DJ Loradeniz. Kems Kriol accompanies the amateur documentary collage film "Rotterdam in de Jaren 90", a dark period of strife, economic and social crisis for the now booming metropolis, with the compassion and empathy of someone who experienced those years first-hand but with enough time removed to reflect with heart. Loradeniz angularly and precisely moves her way through the delicate film "Tegenlicht", a surprisingly colorful and fluid educational film about painting, a bold juxtaposition that propels the film into the 2020s. Extended info: Side A, Tegenlicht (English: back lit) is a 1969 education film by Ton Gramsbergen. The short meditative film, follows stained glass artist Leo Hofman through his entire workflow to create beautifully abstract stained glass window panes. Loradeniz?angularly and precisely moves her way through the delicate Tegenlicht creating a bold juxtaposition that propels the film into the 2020s. Employing processed vocal work, deep dry kicks, and jarring percussion-- reminiscent of scratching glass-- Loradeniz's haunting modernization suits the cinema and the club equally, a testament to the rising composer's fluid versatility and creative prowess as a musical pantomath. Side B, Rotterdam in de Jaren 90 directly contrasts the zoomed in artistry of Tegenlicht. The amateur documentary Super 8 footage captures Rotterdam in one of its most tumultuous times from police brutality, poverty, drugs, violence, racism and the city's ongoing architectural modernization. Kems Kriol, who lived in Rotterdam during this time period, brings a deeply emotional weight to the Ed Millecam amateur documentation, as an artist with the compassion and empathy of who experienced those years first-hand but with enough time removed to reflect with heart. Kems Kriol's influences from modern and avant garde composers, jazz, acid bass lines and field recording Kems Kriol made at different locations featured in the film equate to a musical collage wholly comparable to the city's diverse population. “It’s just too easy to make a standard dance track,” Aphex Twin said of his mindset back in 1992. “You’ve got to put a bit of thought into it to get something a bit different.” ‘Didgeridoo’ was released on the Belgian R&S Records label in 1992, and originally peaked at #55 in the UK singles chart in May of that year. Over the last 32 years the track has become one of the essential Aphex Twin tracks in a gargantuan catalogue that continues to amaze and inspire. “I wanted to have some tracks to play to finish the raves I used to play in Cornwall, to really kill everybody off so they couldn’t dance,” Richard D James, AKA Aphex, told Select magazine back in the 90s. “Digeridoo came out of that.” Released as a 4 track EP that also included early Aphex productions (now classics) including the industrial, acidic clang of ‘Flap Head’ and hyperbolic futurism of ‘Isopropanol’, the release cemented a relationship with the R&S label that went on to release the ‘Xylem Tube’ EP and the pivotal album ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’ in the same year. The label’s owner & A&R Renaat Vandepapeliere reflected “When I first heard Aphex Twin’s music I said, ‘This is it!’, and everybody else said, ‘You’re crazy!’ …a lot of the hardcore R&S fans dropped us. To them it wasn’t music.” ‘Didgeridoo’ (Expanded Edition) is the first time the EP has been re-issued with extra material. Whilst digging in his DAT archive (allegedly stored in an airtight military ammo box), Richard James revisited the recordings, encoding them through a Nakamichi CR7e cassette deck, using the customised deck with vari-speed to encode at speeds “felt right at the time”. Alongside these CR7e versions, the original mixes have been remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering, offering a dilated insight into one of electronic music’s most endearing releases. After the success of their first white label series Haven returns with another special offering for all the Keepsakes followers out there. With 'Years Of Delirium Part 2" Haven is pressing the stand out tracks from Keepsakes' 2016 digital-only EPs with Dutch label Obscuur and France's T/W/B.
The A1 kicks off the EP with "Peel It Off". Featuring a gargantuan kick drum, rolling percussion, and a boisterous transforming synth line, this track originally gave a monstrous opening to 2016's "Huff Trax" EP. This is followed by "Why Oh Why Oh Why Oh Why" off the same release on the A2, defined by its gabber kick, wonky drum rhythms and breakdowns pushing a uplifting synth line and demented diva vocals in a bizarro techno banger.
The B-side then focuses in on the best of Keepsakes' 2016 release with T/W/B. The B1 begins this side with "Shame Stains", a tried-and-tested distorted smasher with a wild scratchy synth line and swung drum patterns guaranteed to keep bodies moving. Finally the record closes with "Downtown Fuckboy Feel My Wrath", a frenzied and energetic dance floor killer with crunchy drums and a chaotic yet catchy overdriven synth patch that should make fans of no-nonsense frenetic techno feel right at home. For the twelfth release on the main catalogue and first record of 2022 Haven are proud to present the first full EP on the imprint from label boss Keepsakes for two years. Following on from releases in recent years on South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, and more, Keepsakes brings the dancefloor heat in this 4-track collection of 4-4 killers.

The A1 kicks things off with "Peak Egotist" - where rolling tribalistic drums, playful vocal samples and 80s industrial-inspired synth stabs interplay in a confronting track of driving techno. This is followed by "Malignant Motion" on the A2, with its swung rhythms and discordant rave synthesiser keeping the club energy high for concrete dancefloors.

"Mr. Shakedown" launches the flip on the B1 with its fast-house-gone-crunchy stylings, where a rolling 16th note synth pattern works with heavy drum patterns and ear-worm vocal shouts to set feet on fire. The B2 closes out the record with "No Acceptance Uptown" - a tried-and-tested frisky club banger with mischievous "yo" vocals and a lively acid-like sequence closing out the latest offering from Haven. Melbourne’s DJ Ali is up next on Blue Hour Music with a powerful EP of fast percussive tribal groovers recorded live over multiple hardware sessions. ‘Interceptor’ kicks off the record with energising and rolling momentum laced in echoes of shamanic ritual. ‘Paradox Cell’ maintains the tension with a stripped back and pumping drum track enhanced by repeating tones and swirling winds that suddenly take over. On the flip ‘Nightwatch’ feels even more immersive, tunneling down into hypnotic chambers where a voice guides and pulls the listener through a lucid void. ’Regeneration’ rounds up the record with an uplifting journey that begins to unfold with a series of shifting layers and hints of colour beneath a haze of euphoria. More
