Opening A1 '80's' is an authentic ride to the past, based on a solid rolling groove, carrying on an infamous sample, resulting in a groovy house track ready to shake any bottom. A2 'Leave fast, die young' follows the same idea, and flies on another recognizable sample, a sexy house track set to slay dancefloors worldwide. Finally B side 'Depeche-moi' is another wink to the 80's music, a long-plating track that will recall all eighties lovers and even more. We don't have that much informations about MILq, an artist that prefers to run away from the press, the hype and the chatter and to focus on music. We know that his mother comes from Chicago and his father from Marseille, he's now living between Berlin, London and Ibiza. He's a maniac vinyl collector (he has more than 40.000 records), a disco samples freak and is full addicted to both acid music and drug, but also to sex and weed. His mottos are 'drink my milq' and 'no k but q'.

Casino Times debut on Stamp Records with four carefully diced grooves.
With acid-tinged disco and house-infused jazz on the A side, and not one but two tributes to Austropop on the B, the duo show-off both their eclectic tastes and loose approach to crafting an edit.
Much like the style established by the Casino Edits series,'Enough Acid' is a disco excursion that rolls with lively organic percussion, funked up guitar, singing strings and a meaty analogue acid bass line.
Perfectly timed piano breaks pays homage to the monstrous source material, creating an abundance of dancefloor drama...
'The Glow (Estate)' achieves the seemingly unfeasible; an enchanting jazz sample is seamlessly arranged across a tight drum groove creating rich, soulful rhythms. At points the track seems to take flight to create space for a tender vocal hook, fascinating for both diggers and dancers alike.
Flipping to the other side, Casino Times go all in with a tribute to Austropop, with two stripped back new wave and punk inspired cuts. 'Gaze Into The Future' shakes bodies and pushes the bass bins to the limit, with the sound of a siren letting us know it's time to report to the dancefloor.
Its counterpart 'Overly Dramatic' lives up to its name - a jaunty slap bass groove bounces away underneath roaring synthetic atmospheres, sporadically launching into bellowing choral hits that'll make your head spin. More

Daughters & Sons - Gipsy (Prins Thomas Remix)
"Detroit Stories" is the name of this cool social project happening in Motorcity, USA, aka Detroit. Check it out at soundcloud.com/detroit-stories. It's a rad way to capture and show off the history and present of the city and its peeps. They're doing it by interviewing OG residents and immigrants from way back, the ones who lived through all the ups and downs of the Motor City. You've got stories of good times, hard work, opportunities, but also struggles, violence, and social movements that shaped Detroit's rise and slow fall. This city's always had a lot to offer in terms of music, culture, and beyond.
And guess what? DJ and producer Luca Fronza gets in on the action, finding some of those interview podcasts. He's turning their stories, the vocals, and speeches into some killer beats, with the distinctive motorcity raw house touch that we absolutely love here at Flexi. And to top it off, you've got a remix by the master himself, Prins Thomas! It's gonna be lit!
All tracks (except B2) produced and composed by Luca Fronza Remix of “Gipsy” is by Prins Thomas
Mastered by Francesco Brini at Spectrum Studio, Bologna.
Released by Flexi Cuts, 2023.
Artwork is by Pietro Galeati More

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Plastikman's redefining acid techno masterpiece, Sheet One, has been mastered from the original tapes and reissued on vinyl via Mute and NovaMute.
Released in 1993 on Mute's subsidiary label NovaMute, this record was the debut for Richie Hawtin's alias Plastikman. 30 years on Sheet One is a landmark album in the field of electronic music, it changed the shape of what the genre could be and became.
Introducing one of techno's most recognisable logos, the album achieved a degree of notoriety for its acid blotter-style perforated artwork. Musically it focuses on laser-precise minimalist rhythms to drive a series of echo-box acid lines that gradually acquire power over the course of lengthy album tracks, with frequent use of the Roland TB-303, which gained prominence in the electronic music world as a staple of Chicago's acid house scene. Hawtin once described Sheet One perfectly in an interview with MusicRadar, saying "...It's music for the end of the party as you're melting into the floor, which is exactly what the name Plastikman was made to represent."
This seminal album helped to establish the template for minimal techno, and is a must listen for lovers of electronic music.
Available on double bio vinyl.
