The latest classic record to get flipped by Italian reissue specialists Groove Records is Peven Everett's 'Special', a gorgeous chunk of organic soulful house that first appeared in stores way back in 2008. You'll find Everett's original mix nestling on side A. It naturally features his own sublime, life-affirming vocals, alongside extensive organ lines, jazzy guitar solos, rolling deep house beats and a bassline that sounds like a survivor from the jazz-funk era. This time round it comes accompanied by Timmy Regisford's 2009 'Remix' version, a heavier and slightly more electronic-sounding affair that's arguably better for peak-time dancefloor plays - largely because Regisford's beefed-up groove and positive-sounding synthesizer motifs pack a real punch.

Chicago's Peven Everett has long had a cult following for his own unique, live take on House music. Fusing the finest elements of Gospel, Soul, Funk and Disco his tracks have always had something that most other producers lack - originality! His music has crossed over many different genre barriers and has been supported by the widest selection of top DJ's for many years with his cuts becoming stone cold anthems in clubs across the globe. "I can't believe I loved her" is one such track, a soulful piece lamenting a love that went wrong, the pain and disappointment are evident in Peven's voice and playing but the track remains utterly danceable, a real bomb! On it's original 2002 release the track was a huge club hit, pushing it into "classic" status. Both original mixes are featured here on this legit reissue, 100% sanctioned by King Street Records, NYC. Brought back for 2016, an evergreen deep House classic - Essential business!

Diego Ruiz, aka DFRA, is an Argentine music producer very active in the last five years with several productions in the underground deep house scene. Now he's definitely setting the bar at the highest level with this project. He's introducing a full band of musicians with jazzy roots, and the result is a four-track EP that's a clear fusion of how jazz and electronic music merge in a unique way. Edoardo Florio Di Grazia is a singer-songwriter from the Amalfi Coast, born in Florence and living in Paris. After moving to Paris he began collaborating with the French producer Bruno Hovart "Patchworks", here working under his "Voilaaa" alias. Together, they created "Indossare Il Mare", a hymn to the return to one's origins, characterized by a fresh and Mediterranean sound. After the digital release in France only, Groovin Recordings will release a special vinyl edition for Record Store Day 2024, also including a remix by Giacomo Lecchi D'Alessandro.

Love Letters is the debut album of urban singer-songwriter Raffaella Zago. The first album of the Paduan-born, Milan-based artist contains ten tracks influenced by soul, jazz, funk and hip hop that deal repeatedly with the theme of love. In 2023, Raffaella Zago quickly attracted attention with her first official song, a nu-soul reinterpretation of "Money Trees", a song by the most praised rapper of the last decade, Kendrick Lamar, for which she composed a new melody. The other pieces of "Love Letters", in which she addresses people who have been or are part of her life, reaffirm her vocal, writing and composing skills.
