All tracks are from Tanaka's archive (2010-2015), which were produced since he had moved his base in Berlin. The idea of the dj mixing with only his own tracks has been gestating for sometime and with his trials during his dj dates in Europe, South America and Japan the selection of the tracks and combination has been made. The thought process of mixing his own materials could be similar to preparing for his own live set. This recording was done at this home in Berlin. All tracks has been released on 12inch vinyl (SND 06,07,08 on 2017) except track 6.

The idea of the dj mixing with only his own tracks has been gestating for sometime and with his trials during his dj dates in Europe, South America and Japan the selection of the tracks and combination has been made. Sundance is back with the new release. We had our first release in 2009 by Fumiyandric (SND001) and the second release in 2010 by Fumiya Tanaka (SND002). In 2011, here we bring the new release by a new project called "tofu productions". This project is operated by Thomas Melchior and Fumiya Tanaka
A1 "trabalhador" is a loopy drum percussive track with voice samples combined with a fat bass to establish a strong atmosphere. And the sub bass is working as a trippy acid sound which can be heard in the middle part of the track… Freak out!
A2 "e quake" has got a sweet melodic guitar sound with a drunken voice. And with its deep bass, this track forms an acoustic folk music. The harmony of the sound has got a touch of sweet melancholy feeling, but makes you feel positive after all.
B1 "amega furu" is a strict rhythm and bass track with the voice in Japanese. The track's tight groove gives you a tense atmosphere. The crispy snare grabs you to the world of minimal. The title means "It becomes a thunderstorm".
B2 "the scream" has got a horror atmosphere. The simple combination of sounds is getting darker and deeper towards the end. This track is showing the dark side of tofu productions as well as "amega furu".

A1 Fur Elodie is a cheapy guitar tune combined with the piano to form acoustic sound. Other elements are also quite cheapy but sounds very good altogether as a confortable track. A very atmospheric tune to hypnotize people into Fumiya’s deeper side. The original version is on his album “Unknown 3” released in 2008. B1 ring bell is a track combined an acoustic loopy drum with a modular bass sound to form a kind of rare groove. A kind of chant starts coming in out at certain points to take you somewhere you have never been before. B2 dealer trick (short version) has got a kind of old school flavour and sounds quite like 90’s house with Fumiya’s dirty, cheeky, and loopy groove. A trick for Jack in the box!

This record is like the lost crown jewels of House Music with a story that spans decades.
Originally programmed in 1998 on an Akai S3000XL, this was meant to be released on Bjørn Torske's Footnotes in 2001. Unfortunately the original matrix and the master DAT tapes got lost under crazy circumstances. Yet several years later the tapes were found by Sex Tags Mania in the studio of mastering engineer Helmut Erler and the record eventually got issued in 2009 when a totally different House sound was "en vogue."
Then due to some unfortunate coincidences most of the records ended up in far flung Japan, and so this record stayed totally underground. Yet it became a cult hit when House Music and later Disco got a proper revival around 2010/11. So over the years prices for this rarity were rising and rising...
Then fast forward to 2025: after a sunny day off Berlin's modular synthesizer show "Superbooth" ATJ boss Mr. Fonk and Doc L. Junior teamed up to finally reissue this gem with new masters by Andreas Kauffelt of "Schnittstelle" / Berlin. On this 12“ Norwegian Disco and Balearic sounds meet: funky but deep to the core, playful but hypnotic, stripped down but with baroque details. Truly one of House Music's greatest productions.

Synaptic Cliffs is barely able to contain the excitement for the release of the 4-track EP "Maximalism" where pdqb collaborates with DJ Sotofett in the most effective way. pdqb's sleek and melancholic electro originals carry a sexy 1980s reminiscing vibe, not too unknown from classic US electro disco-styled pop music. They meet warehouse remixes from DJ Sotofett, known for his top-notch electro productions on Clone and Tresor, as well as funky breakbeat, afro-dub and all-things-house on his own labels Wania and Sex Tags Mania. The remix of pdqb's electrocognition-beauty 'Giallactrus' has heavier, almost p-funk styled electro beats, live scratching complementing the block party approach while retaining the vibe of the original. Elysiaamore, pdqb's sonic love letter to Tangerine Dream, gets a bit of melodic menace treatment by DJ Sotofett, turning it into an intensified breakbeat juxtaposition with Junglized B-Boy elements... again without taking away the energy from the original. pdqb - a true connoisseur of sound - was working in its sonic vessel, surrounded by a glowing armada of yet unknown synthesizers and modular gear. It had just completed two tracks, back-to-back, that were pure electronic poetry. These weren't for the main stage; they were for the intimate darkness of a listener's soul. Built on subtle, intricate rhythms, the tracks featured shimmering, melancholic melodies and an incredibly wide, detailed stereo field - the kind that demanded high-fidelity headphones. They were designed to function like a world within itself, introspective and beautiful. "Perfect," it murmured, "for the people who truly listen."
It quickly became clear that the two tracks were too potent to remain solely in the realm of the headphone experience. They needed to be shared, to be felt in a collective space, on a massive scale. "What if we take these beauties," pdqb thought, "and inflate them to the maximum?"
DJ Sotofett, an earthling known for his heavy-hitting, floor-shaking productions, immediately came to mind. pdqb knew the collaboration would bridge the gap between its refined, melancholy sensibility and the visceral energy of the dance floor.
It sent the core stems over with a simple message: "Need to blow this up. Maximum impact. Can you turn the headphone world into a stadium anthem?"

Press text: "Cake" was a New York band formed in 1973, following a line-up tweak and a change from their previous name "Mixed Company" (referring to the racially mixed personell). At Arabellum Studios in Colony, Albany, NY, the band recorded their only 7-inch single. "Make Up Your Mind" / "Let Your Body Go" was released on Key Records in 1979.
Half a life time later, after appearing in DJ mixes and online auctions in the late 2000s, the single started gaining notoriety among DJs and dig-gers. Working its way up to "holy grail" status on the modern soul and disco collector scene, original copies of the sought after record would eventually sell for as high as $1000.
In 2012, Hans Jørgen Wærner (Mutual Intentions Co-Founder and notorious disco collector) got in touch with Arabellum studio owner Art Snay who produced the record. This lead him to lead singer Bob Treffiletti who had a cassette tape with unreleased long versions of the songs. The sound quality of the tape was not adequate for what Hans had in mind, and so the hunt for the original master tapes began! Unfortunately, Art Snay later passed away. At one point chances of finding the original recordings seemed so slim, the project was all but abandoned….
Luckily, Bob managed to get hold of the master tapes via Art's wife and they were sent away to legendary disco mixer / remixer John Morales, who transferred the tape to digital format. After several rounds in one of Norway's best mastering studios (Strype Audio), noise reduction and sound surgery were done while retaining the soul of the original recordings. The songs were finally ready to be pressed on the format they have always deserved: the 12-inch disco single!
The 12-inch comes with four 5 min + long songs and can be pre-ordered now. The high-quality lacquer cut pressing is produced at Optimal Media in Germany and limited.

Where their earlier works settled into the sun-struck torpor of a suburban Perth backyard (69) or drifted off-course on a riverboat on Port Phillip Bay (ii), Legends trades salt air for vineyard sweat, the scrape of boots on dry earth and workers’ radios humming with the summer test cricket season.
Through this agricultural haze an image of a working vineyard emerges - ducks, dogs and plovers intrude; tractors and quads fly-by; stainless steel gleams at the edges. Recorded without mains power, the Manon demos overflow with farmyard ingenuity. Wind, brass, balalaika, balloon, pipe and synth are trained onto the staff with wire, tape and string.
A caricature of Australian viticulture, Legends is packed to the horns with the mythology and manure of natural wine. Swigging and belching in camaraderie, Wilson Tanner press their surroundings into something raw and unfiltered, letting bum notes, leftovers and sediment linger in the bottle. A cornucopia of biodynamic sounds.

Another Thought was the first collection of Arthur Russell’s music to be released after his death in 1992. Released on CD by Point Music in 1993 it marked the beginning of nearly 30 years of work to let the world hear the enormous archive of unreleased recordings Arthur left behind. Be With revisits this first compilation for a new gatefold double vinyl version and a triple-fold digipak CD re-issue.
This is the only place where you can hear some of Arthur’s most recognisable music, like the title track Another Thought, A Little Lost, This Is How We Walk On The Moon, Keeping Up and the woozy disco of In The Light Of The Miracle and My Tiger, My Timing. Though technically a compilation, the whole of Another Thought comes together as a consistent, coherent, wonderful album.
Thanks to Janette Beckman for helping reproduce her iconic photograph of Arthur in his newspaper boat hat for the new vinyl sleeve. And thanks also to Tom Lee for giving permission to include his liner notes from the original CD booklet, together with Arthur’s lyrics.
Another Thought is absolutely essential for even the most casual Arthur Russell collection. In fact it’s essential for any fan of non-obvious pop music.
