Release Info:
All tracks are from Tanaka's archive (2010-2015), which were produced since he had moved his base in Berlin. The idea of the dj mixing with only his own tracks has been gestating for sometime and with his trials during his dj dates in Europe, South America and Japan the selection of the tracks and combination has been made. The thought process of mixing his own materials could be similar to preparing for his own live set. This recording was done at this home in Berlin. All tracks has been released on 12inch vinyl (SND 06,07,08 on 2017) except track 6.

A) side is the unreleased Dub version of the previously released same titled track. B) side is the fine interweave of radiq's percussion + fumiya's base/beat groove with soul vocals. The sound is different from the style of Dirtriix works and the each has its distinctive own groove.

Sundance is back with the new release. We had our first release in 2009 by Fumiyandric (SND001) and the second release in 2010 by Fumiya Tanaka (SND002). In 2011, here we bring the new release by a new project called "tofu productions". This project is operated by Thomas Melchior and Fumiya Tanaka
A1 "trabalhador" is a loopy drum percussive track with voice samples combined with a fat bass to establish a strong atmosphere. And the sub bass is working as a trippy acid sound which can be heard in the middle part of the track… Freak out!
A2 "e quake" has got a sweet melodic guitar sound with a drunken voice. And with its deep bass, this track forms an acoustic folk music. The harmony of the sound has got a touch of sweet melancholy feeling, but makes you feel positive after all.
B1 "amega furu" is a strict rhythm and bass track with the voice in Japanese. The track's tight groove gives you a tense atmosphere. The crispy snare grabs you to the world of minimal. The title means "It becomes a thunderstorm".
B2 "the scream" has got a horror atmosphere. The simple combination of sounds is getting darker and deeper towards the end. This track is showing the dark side of tofu productions as well as "amega furu".

A1 Fur Elodie is a cheapy guitar tune combined with the piano to form acoustic sound. Other elements are also quite cheapy but sounds very good altogether as a confortable track. A very atmospheric tune to hypnotize people into Fumiya’s deeper side. The original version is on his album “Unknown 3” released in 2008. B1 ring bell is a track combined an acoustic loopy drum with a modular bass sound to form a kind of rare groove. A kind of chant starts coming in out at certain points to take you somewhere you have never been before. B2 dealer trick (short version) has got a kind of old school flavour and sounds quite like 90’s house with Fumiya’s dirty, cheeky, and loopy groove. A trick for Jack in the box!

RELEASE INFO:
The phrase “concept album” brings to mind long and complicated works by 60s rock bands or rap magna opera destined to be
pored over by Dissect podcast. But what if the concept is based on a simple conceit? With Refreshing Part 1, their third EP and
first vinyl release on Tresor, Fireground soundtrack an imaginary night spent at the Kraftwerk building on Köpenicker Straße,
moving between the smoke-filled basement of Tresor and the bass-heavy loft of Globus.
Opening piece, Never Sleep, has long been a feature of the Fireground live set and evolved over many months before reaching
its final form in something of a “eureka” moment during a performance in Tresor. The track kicks o the EP with a hint to
techno classic Knights of the Jaguar before quickly carving its own path through the foliage. The tribal leitmotif continues on
second track, Gaze, which again has subtle nods to classics whilst showcasing the duo’s ability to bring new life to 90s house
and techno tropes.
Obsession dispenses with any pretence and gets right down to business from the opening second: Inspired by the Tresor
dancefloor “when it reaches its peak; the strobe lights together with the smoke become so intense that for a few moments
you can't see anything and completely abandon yourself to your sense of hearing.”
A counterpoint to the finessed Never Sleep, Obsession was recorded live with minimal post-production this track finds
Fireground at their rawest and most uncompromising.
As if needing a spot of fresh air after the ferocity of Obsession, the second half of the EP leaves the dense and smoky
atmosphere behind and ascends towards the sky beginning with Driving Stars; lighter though this may be there’s no loss of
drive. Penultimate track Into a Diamond finds Fireground floating ever-upwards propelled by elements of jazz including a
gorgeous electric piano solo that recall the airy mid-90s UK house of labels like Nuphonic, Heavenly, Faze Action, and Soma.
Digital-only track, Wedding, closes the EP with the perfect end-of-night feeling, leaving us joyful, as if we are stepping out
into the morning sun surrounded by close friends, the sounds of the evening orbiting our minds.

Alan Abrahams, that's the man behind Portable, born and raised in South Africa, where he started to produce music in the 90's. 1997 he moved to London. After several releases on Labels like Context or Background, he started his own imprint "Süd Electronic" around 2002. 3 Elements was a trio of UK producers who self-released 'Somewhere Else' in 1996. Their small discography shines amongst peers such as B12, Stasis and Nuron in '90s electronica. One of the members, Andy Jaggers, has continued to release on Touchin' Bass (Andrea Parker), For Those That Knoe (Derek Car, Carl Finlow) and his own label Pyramid Transmissions. Tevatron released 'Nu-Tronik' in 1998 on legendary Belgian label Re-load Records (Acid Kirk, Cold/Isar Logi Arnarsson) and has continued to release on Metrohm. Wareika invite us to their „Harmonie Park“, a place created by the love of improvisation. At the park, poles have shifted already! Florian Schirmacher, Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe, all full-time musicians, tuned their instruments to introduce us to this parallel universe. It.s about the various possible perceptions of one single moment. Loops and sequences, subjected to virtual tempo changes, without leaving the Bpm scale. In the park, everything is always in the flow. Jazz / Techno / Funk / House, all elements that appear / dissapear throughout the composition. Wareika manage to bring all this together effortlessly, without even thinking in those categories. The deeper you get into the park, the more you get absorbed by the dynamics of interlaced, polyrhythmic modulations. Luckily the groove acts like the park ranger, showing you around while
taking care no one gets lost in hypnotic structures waiting on the way. At the end, this pulsating soundcluster leads into the great river named bassline, leaving us quite harmonized..... !! This release comes in a special format !! We made „Harmonie Park“ available in 4 parts on 2x12“ Vinyl.
