It's a pleasure to see MOY back on AF. Sure, Jonny doesn't invent anything, but everything he does sounds incredible and his tracks have the ability to grab you and never let go. He seems to say: "I know what you're here for". The particular way he executes hyperactive beats, acid basslines and melodies, makes the material very emotive and timeless, walking his influences around and elevating the machine's rhythms to new emotional levels. A brand new label within the Vinyl Fanatiks family. AmenTec is a collaboration between Amen Brother and Emotec, which is an electro/techno label run by Damo B, who hosts a weekly show on Unity FM in Manchester. The idea being that one label creates two tracks and the other brings in their talent to remix them.

First off the bat is MOY, an electro breakbeat supremo who creates the most in-depth soundscapes in dance music. And the two tracks on this release are probably some of his finest work to date, sweeping pads, rolling amen and squelchy 303. To rough them up a bit, Amen Brother bring in two old school producers from way back in the early 90’s. Fugitive, who is Dave from Aquasky, bringing back to life one of his earliest aliases that use to release on Underdog Recordings in 93/94, utilising the skillset of his former jungle pseudonym and Wolverhampton’s hardcore soldier Silver Fox, former house mate of Goldie, who dons his rave mask and goes in hard and heavy with a monster of a remix.

This release brings together the best of the electro world and the finest of the hardcore world and creates a release worthy of a place within the collection of any dance music connoisseur.

MASA002 is born from the connection between MASA and one of its most beloved artists, Roger Van Lunteren. RVL brings his magic back with a solo EP after boosting MASA001 with his acidic rocket Red (Touchée).

This time, Roger takes us on a journey filled with warm, powerful acid-bathed sounds. This upward trip begins its expedition visiting colourful landscapes shaped by housy-breaks nuances to flow into sharply-edged grounds full of mental-progressive beats.

Surrounded by music from a very young age, Roger began sampling and experimenting with Midi in early 1991 moved by the feeling of embrace that Acid House provoked in him. RVL, whose productions encompass from Ambient to Experimental going through Acid, Techno or Electro among others, always allows himself toto be carried away by his intuition in search of sensitive sounds or scenarios that carry him to a delightful place where to abide endlessly.
