First up, remixed for the first time, Teddy’s sexy 'Close The Door'. Stretched to almost 10 minutes of sensuality Mike Maurro gives it his signature remix treatment bringing the drums up and fattening the bassline to perfection, with French DJ/Remixer Young Pulse adding piano and keys that take the track to another level.

Head to the B-side for another Teddy staple 'Only You'. Extended with love giving it a fresh treatment without losing the flow and vibe of the original, a must for your collection. Pressed on HQ 12'' vinyl with retro artwork.

Johnny ‘D’ DeMairo is a veteran of the New York house scene - he frequently appeared on the legendary Henry Street Music imprint in the ‘90s - but in recent years he's devoted more studio time to reworking classic disco and soul cuts.

He's at it again here, rising to the challenge of rearranging and tweaking Frankie Valli's classic 1975 disco-soul jam 'Swearin' To God'. His A-side 'Johnick Disco Mix' is an organic, slowly building affair that makes the most of the original's flanged guitar licks, sweet backing vocals, Philly Soul style orchestration, laidback dancefloor groove and Valli's inspired lead vocals.

Over on the flip, the 'Maurro Mix' is a much more languid and super-sweet affair, with a little less dancefloor focus. It's no less inspired or entertaining, though.

Flip it over to the B Side and we have a new version of “Love & Happiness” remixed from the original multi track tapes by NY DJ/Remixer Mike Maurro who takes the track to over 10 minutes with instrumental extensions and beefed up drums keeping it respectful to the original as always.

House music royalty right here! Brookside Music enlist Chicago’s Ralphi Rosario, founding member of the influential Hot Mix 5, to work his magic on First Choice’s ‘Ain’t He Bad’, with an extended disco mix and a reprise dub, alongside the original version.
The extended disco mix kicks things off with a DJ friendly, beefier, quantized drum pattern, echoed vocal refrains and heavenly swooping pads for a touch of Rosario style and added atmosphere. A refreshing update to this classic, purpose built to blast out on big systems worldwide.
Next up, Rosario offers a reprise dub adding spiritual stabs to the original piano, as First Choice’s whispers feed in and tension building strings gather momentum. Gradually elements of the percussion are added before the full force of the beat takes hold. The vocals, for the most part, are left to those delicate “Ain’t He Bad” phrases and rising harmonies, letting the expert instrumentation and arrangement sing. Another sure-fire, hands-in-the-air staple for the locker.

Last but not least, the original First Choice version completes the package, offering a third and final way to light up the dancefloor this summer.

Nick Bike hops aboard his groove machine again for another tidy two tracker that does disco differently., The A-side is 'Yabba Dabba', which is an edit of a classic Scandi-pop gem with plenty of the original melodies reworked into a fatter groove with disco claps. It's full of fun but also nice chunky drums and subtle effects that draw out the magic and up the funk. On the flip side is a dub that is a little more airy and light, with a dreamier edge for the zoned-out moments, but also a reverb-drenched vocal. Two effective and charming cuts for grown-up floors and magic moments.

Originally released in 1996, this record featured two 10 minute tracks which were recorded from what the artist calls a Live Set Dub (LSD), this one in particular recorded from a session at Gibus Club in Paris.
The A-side explores the influences that the artist had from the Germany foundations of Basic Channel, while the B side is the artist’s homage to Chicago and Detroit pioneers as an attempt to build a bridge between them using this work as a response which could potentially be used in a greater dialogue with the American source of inspiration.
