Originally released three years ago, this is the collectors reissue as part of Sushitech's 15th anniversary celebrations. Invisibility is the second album of Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia's Sideways Invisibility Theory Project (AKA SIT). This pack containing all the tracks from their album, both chapters one and two, pressed on a limited coloured vinyl. It features a quintet of trippy, low-slung late night workout seemingly designed to operate in the cracks between house and minimal techno. There is a natural subtle variations throughout - a nod to dub techno here, a psychedelic acid line or dreamy deep house texture there - but thought, their focus remains firmly on only early morning workouts - modern classic!

After the extremely solid album of the Romanian due earlier this year, Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia (SIT) are coming up with a beautiful limited edition vinyl release on their new home label - Sushitech. The original version of Alternate is a warm and dreamy, atmospheric track that keeps pushing the boundaries of the modern Romanian / Berlin minimal house sound. On the flip UK legend and label veteran Steve O'Sullivan takes things dubby and funky with his original strong trademark sound. Sushitech is back with another of its sublime vinyl-only projects and this one focuses on the work of Dexter. There will be three 12"s in all that draw together some of the producer's finest moments. He is a truly cult figure amongst those who know and he served up a fresh take on tech, acid, dub and house between 1997 and 2004 when these tracks were first made - if you can find any of those original records prepare to pay loads for them, or else dive into Past Moves I. It has a brace of slick, tightly programmed cuts underpinned by rolling pads with lovely lo-fi pads up top. Heady stuff.

The second part of Sushitech's three-part vinyl-only series looking at the work of Dexter is another 12" doozy. The UK underground mainstay has been behind many cult and much sought-after records over the years and they all fuse obscure dub and acid tech house in smart ways. They were recorded between 1997-2004 and if you can find any OGs then you will be paying upwards of 100 quid for them. This slab has three driving but deep sounds carefully detailed with wispy pads and filtered vocals for perfect backroom deployment.

It is another essential 12' that packs in plenty of heat from the long-time UK favourite. His records are hard to find and expensive when you do and this collection highlights some of his superbly blended acid, dub, tech and house grooves from back between 1997 and 2004. On this one, you will find a pair of weighty, warm, and dubbed out tech cuts with bounce in the drums and Detroit soul in the pads. Timeless stuff.

The West Coast has long been synonymous with a sunny, breezy take on tech house thanks to artists like Fresh and Low, Hipp-E and Halo and Doc Martin. Soft Traffic is an alias for a well-known digi-dub producer who recently turned heads with an outing on Made Mecum. Now they land on the mighty Sushitech with a super limited, hand-stamped 12" featuring Prince Morella. It opens up with the silky smooth 'Meltem I', a liquid dub techno roller with chords rippling out to an infinite horizon as vocal muttering up top heighten the immersive trip. Part II is more icy and underwater, with rhythmic synth undulations and smooth-as-silk drum rotations locking you into a meditative state. Last of all is part III, an ambient sounds scape with subtly suggestive rhythms as you float in an underwater cavern. Classy stuff.

After having two of his earlier tunes remodelled by Carl Craig and Mike Huckaby thanks to Sushitech, Detroit's Delano Smith re-emerges on the label with a double pack of tunes made with Brawther under the D&B Productions. That moniker has more to do with the pair's name rather than a suddenly conversion to drum & bass, although there's a love of dubby effects and deep bass power here that - at a stretch - could be said to be in common. The six tracks - Symbiosis' 1-6 - are smooth and simple, but executed with an ear (or four) for an irresistible groove, an economic but rhythmic keyboard stab and a knack for squeezing something nicely soulful from the barest ingredients. Nice work indeed.
