Our favourite Parisian disco maestro, Young Pulse is back on GAMM for his 9th release !

Over three tracks, Young Pulse delivers an impressive range of soulful disco, jazz-funk-disco & modern soul/disco.

On the opening track, 'Ali's Movin' On', we're treated to a special version of the Brass Construction classic together with some spiced-up "Ali bombaye" chanting...it's truly a funky rumble in the Parisian jungle ;)

The flip side begins with an uplifting and stomping jazz-funk-disco take of one of our favourite Gap Mangione (RIP) tunes.
Rounding things off, Young Pulse hits us with one of those warm and uplifting modern soul/disco jams that we all love to hear on a dance floor, but with Mr Pulse's tasteful finger on the mix, the production now sounds even stronger.

Our good friend Young Pulse has gone far since his first release on GAMM and he's nowadays a well established name on the worldwide disco and house scene...well deserved we might add.

The result is a two track release entirely focused on Brazilian drums...nothing else!
This is basically a rhythm record where two Batucada sessions are reworked for your DJ pleasure.

The Boogie Twins aka Ashley Beedle and Ray Mang have reworked and edited one of Paul 'Trouble' Anderson's biggest signature tracks
A message from Ashley Beedle:
We loved going to the Electric Ballroom to see the legendary Paul 'Trouble' Anderson who was killing it in there with Boogie, Electro, Hip Hop and Disco - he was such a huge musical influencer.
When he dropped 'Heaven and Earth' in the mid 80's, the joint went ballistic.
That tune ruled London and became not only a rare groove classic but remains a much loved staple of today's club scene - all because of Paul's exceptional ear for music.

The Godfather of the Montreal disco Robert Ouimet was a resident DJ at The Limelight between 1973 to 1981.
Basically this man got history!
After a fine release on Basic Fingers last year he now got two funk-disco edits for GAMM.
On the A side Robert takes on a classic, Yellow Sunshine by Yellow Sunshine (translated in French on the release) which was a well established b-boy anthem as well as a classic cut for DJs like Danny Krivit and David Mancuso.
On the B, we find another obscure funk-disco jam packed with soulful vocals, moog synths and big disco breakdowns.

Italian edit maestro Moplen is establishing himself as one of the key figures on the re-edit scene and has been a returning act on GAMM for years. On this strictly vinyl release we see Moplen reworking Deodato's jazz-funk classic 'Whistlebump' into a massive + ten minutes long escapade...
that string breakdown towards the end is jus’ bad ass! On the flip we also included his much demanded rework of Chaka Khans 'I Know You, I Live You' that has been a big spin for many close fam DJs over the last year.
