Tracklist:
A1: Ribolla
B1: Diffondersi (Main)
B2: Diffondersi (Alternate Version)
Release info:
Berlin based label Lossless returns for it's 11th release. The “Ribolla EP“ comes courtesy of the label heads Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb under their alias “SBTH”. A record showing that only with the knowledge of the past you can mould the future.
The title track ‚Ribolla' is deeply embedded in the history of dance music, yet it sounds like the future. You hear a fundament of classic Deep House, sprinkled with just the right touch of Italo glam while being so cosmic and hypnotic that it pulls you into a vortex.
The flipside “Diffondersi” in contrast is a slick, slow and laid back Electro tune with a retro futuristic synth work out on top. Spaced out deepness at it’s best whereas the “Alternate Version” takes the track from the warm up to your favourite discoteque’s peak time. It draws it’s drive from it’s repetitive Disco bassline and is even closer to the Cosmic-Italo heritage than “Ribolla”.
With this release Mathias and Thomas never tried to recreate the past or glorify it, they used the past as their inspiration and put their own bold stamp on contemporary club music.
For the past years Lossless has been doing exactly this - with a string of successful and unique releases from the growing family Trikk, Anthony Georges Patrice, Neil Flynn, Love Over Entropy and King Britt - floating with Mathias Schober’s solo works and the bossmen project SBTH.

A1: Moritzplatz (Mars Mix)
B1: Moritzplatz (Jupiter Mix)
Release info:
Lossless head honchos Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb stepping up again under the SBTH alias and going off the ramp with their Moritzplatz EP - the labels first release in 2017!
The title track, inspired by the bustling changeover of Berlin’s Moritzplatz, comes in two versions sitting on the same raw and analogue sounding basic track but being yet so different. The Mars Mix is constantly propelled by a powerful, uplifting arpeggio line, capturing the leftfield kinda house vibe of the duo’s previous releases and translate it into something more energetic and techno. A gem shaped for those special moments and kinda dark and sweaty dancefloors of all size.
In contrast and complementing the Mars Mix in a very special way we have the Jupiter Mix on the flip where the guys put the spot on a wonderful warm and steadily shifting pad. This being topped by less fx and more percussion transforms the tune in a stripped back, organic house vibe going on and in haling the dancer into much brighter spheres.
With the success of their cosmic and italo tingued Ribolla EP which made it in the playlist of many of the finest DJs in the cirquit under their belt, Mathias and Thomas prooving their versatility and talent one more time and even if it’s sometimes dark in space - the future’s bound to looking bright for them.

Release info:
Switching seaside ambience for a sound shaped by inner-city living, Atelier’s second full-length studio album, Lights Towards The Exit, channels the mood of a sleepless cityscape.
Lights Towards The Exit is Atelier’s second full-length studio album. After the release of Varsam Court at the end of 2019 on Lossless, run by mentors and friends Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb, the duo experimented with different ideas in the studio, and at the start of 2020 a common thread began to appear between a few of the tracks which laid
the foundation for the sound of their second album.
Both Alexander and Jas moved to Berlin in the period before the release of Varsam Court from their hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, where their first album was written and recorded. Moving provided some challenges, particularly with what was the most essential equipment to bring from their previous studio set-up, but those limitations proved to
be useful in incorporating new instruments and techniques to the recording process. Lights Towards The Exit was written and recorded in different spaces in Berlin – from bedrooms in apartment blocks to three different studios across the city. The different locations all had a specific ambience – such as 4th- and 5th-floor bedrooms with busy street views; a studio with no windows in a typical old Berlin backyard complex forever under threat of being sold and gentrified; and a bigger studio with windows on the opposite side of the corridor overlooking the backyard of a mechanic workshop. The final details and edits were completed in Atelier’s current studio, in a contrasting area surrounded by office blocks, plazas, 9-5ers and, most importantly, their friends and colleagues.
Swapping the mountains, sea and seclusion for tall buildings, backyards and a new community, Lights Towards The Exit channels the sensation of being surrounded by people, but still feeling like you're on your own. The album was written through three years of cold winters, sweaty summers and a period where the world stood still during the
pandemic. Frustrated with the cease of momentum, but still optimistic, Atelier disappeared from public view, abandoning social media to focus on recording, songwriting and experimentation. It was a difficult time: the duo longed to perform and continue producing music, and the imposed limitations sometimes felt like an impossible obstacle. Ultimately, though, this would provide unexpected inspiration and influence the sound and direction of the new album.
The sound of Lights Towards The Exit is not a departure from their first album, but a progression: influenced by the new surroundings in the duo’s adoptive city, Atelier’s second album is an ode to first-time experiences, new languages, challenges, club culture and the shift from youth to maturity, as well as a balm to those stuck somewhere in between.
The overall sound is a lift not in tempo, but in energy, matching the openness needed to make a new start in a new place.
All tracks written, produced, arranged and performed by Atelier - Jás Miszewski & Alexander Inggs
Mastered by Mathias Schober, Artwork by David Kochs , Cover Photography by Alexander Inggs

Manuel Tur - 3. Digital Fabric 03
Tracklist:
1. Digital Fabric 01
2. Digital Fabric 02
3. Digital Fabric 03
Release Info:
Warm welcome to Manuel Tur, who debuts on Lossless with his captivating Digital Fabrics EP. Expect
three stripped back, warm and analogue sounding techno-ish cuts unmistakably referring to Detroit in a
reminiscent yet forward thinking way.
Lossless bossmen Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb are big fans - and supporters - of Manuel Tur’s
music. Naturally the excitement level was high when the guys received the Digital Fabrics demos from
Manuel and even went up to ecstatic while listening to the three tunes.
Masterfully stripped back productions, made with attention to all the details and a perfect interplay of
rhythm and sound. These tracks just triggering all the right spots!
Fast forward this EP is now on Lossless and we couldn’t be happier that Manuel agreed on releasing it
with us right away.
We also had a chat with Manuel about the creative process behind Digital Fabrics in which he revealed
that at the time the EP came to life he had just added a new toy at his Islenyo Studios in Essen. Namely
a Korg SQ-1 sequencer which was triggering some of his analogue synths. Over the course of a week
or so those jams culminated in building the backbone of the Digital Fabric EP. By further adding some
euphonic digital pads, Manuel set an antipode that’s blending and supplementing perfectly.
Yours sincerely,

It’s Indian Summer again and it’s like an unwritten rule to please you with another Atelier release at this beautiful
time of the year.
So here we are with a collection of superb re-interpretations of a few tracks taken from the duos debut album
“Varsam Court”. Delivering the goods we have no one less than Dutch high flyer’s Tunnelvisions, Lisboa’s
LuxFrágil resident Switchdance, Heidelberg’s Lopazz & Casio Casino, Lossless co-head Mathias Schober
and Alexander Inggs – one half of Atelier.
No doubt that we’re proud about this line-up and couldn’t be happier with the music we’re going to share with you
now – enjoy!
Atelier quoting on the remixes:
“After writing the album Varsam Court, it was truly exciting to hear the songs in a different context. Originally, the
album was not written for the clubs, but the remixes on the EP transcend that line, bringing the original ideas to a
wider audience and into a new space. These reinterpretations by the artists are a great testament to how
everyone really does hear and feel music differently.”

A2: Crowned Eagle
Artist: Son Dos
AA1: Cala
AA2: Maffio
Release info:
We're happy to announce the fourth chapter of our sought-after Outbound series which also marks Lossless' second release in 2020. After two extended chapters of Outbound, fully showcasing our labels artist roster, Outbound.4 is a crisp double A-Side affair - featuring two killer Techno workouts courtesy of our French stalwart Anthony George Patrice followed up by two Deep/Dub House delights delivered by Son Dos.
Without a doubt, Berlin based frenchman Anthony George Patrice steadily adjusted and developed his sound to a higher level over the last years. His contribution on Side A - "DBZU (Eine Brücke Zum Übermenschen)" and "Crowned Eagle" exposing new artistic shades and Anthony's ability to take you on a sonic journey and soak you into his rich and driving deeper Techno soundscapes.
Side AA belongs to Son Dos - a creative power plant by two Sweden born men: Barcelona based Marco Gegenheimer and Tapia J. Arriagada living in Malta. The duo already caused a stir with their debut "Children Of Almost" on Outcast Oddity. Marco also released some great music on Studio Barnhus as one half of MLiR!
On our Outbound.4 the guys showcase two amazing cuts originated from fruitful studio jams.
The beautiful "Cala" is hypnotizing us in deep, meditative balearic territories while her powerful brother "Maffio" might have had a little testosterone injection along the way and moves us straight onto the dancefloor. Both tunes are capable to unveil their power outdoors just as much as they will in a sweaty basement!
Son Dos quoting on Anthony George Patrice's tracks:
"These songs sound like a Movie score to us, a soundtrack taking you further and further into an unexplored forest: ...you are on a mission ... chugging drums, haunting strings and rolling percussion guide you... your heartbeat intensifies, with each step that you take...
all of a sudden, the floor underneath you turns into flowing geometrical patterns and you start falling...
a voice tells you "Happiness Is A Miisunderstanding", and the fear you had leaves your mind...you connect yourself with a higher power and realise why you started this mission in the first place"
Anthony George Patrice quoting on Son Dos tracks:
"Lovely balearic yet powerful atmosphere on "Cala"… Head flies and shoes get used. All that you wish for!" ...
"Hands in the air for "Maffio"! Here comes the peaktime booming system. Simple, efficient yet super interesting and deeply rooted dance floor killer. This is ace!

Mathias Schober - B2: The Fall (Instrumental)
Setting the tone with the first release on Lossless in the new year 2020 is co-owner
and omnitalented Mathias Schober.
Tracklist:
A1: The Fall feat. Atelier
B1: Will Make A Difference
B2: The Fall (Instrumental)
Release info:
Setting the tone with the first release on Lossless in the new year 2020 is co-owner
and omnitalented Mathias Schober.
Mathias is opening LL1222 with the title track „The Fall“ on which he invited Jas of
the duo Atelier for a vocal appearance showing a new side of his unique voice.
The sparse instrumentation of the the track, built around handclap rhythms, creates
the perfect fundament for the vocal highlights. Additional snare drum and synth hits
will do the rest to make you move.
Second track of the EP, “Will Make A Difference” sure does make a difference. It’s a
4/4 not 4/4 kinda track with an ever growing huge synth sound that takes you all the
way to the middle part where it bursts into emptiness leaving space for some fierce
bass tones. The track has a certain pop-appeal to it but doesn’t at the same time.
This doesn’t make sense at all? Just give it a listen and you’ll know.
The third and final track is an instrumental version of “The Fall”. A simple reduction.
The essence of beautifully crafted rhythms and synth atmospheres. It simply feels
right. More

C1: Frankey & Sandrino – Kuma
C2: Love Over Entropy – Lemon Pie Type Vibe
D1: Hadiid - Rebelwave
D2: Anthony Georges Patrice - CTAFY
Release info:
LL1220 is here, an overdue first release in 2019. 2019 is also about celebrating 5 years of Lossless. For the occasion we’ve decided to return to the dancefloors with the 3rd installment of our Outbound series. Outbound.3 again is a collection of exclusives by the labels core artists, spiced up with some hot additional contributions from befriended artists.
This 2x12“ beautifully showcases a bit of our musical universe.
Neil Flynn is kicking things off with his track „Trá“. This deep, percussive affair featuring the unique voice of Katie Kim, showing off Neil’s trademark touch once again - celtic trippiness that sucks you in immediately. Then we move „8 Floors Up“ - testament of some fruitful studio sessions held by label boss Mathias Schober and the South African duo Atelier - formed by Jas Miszewski and Alexander Inggs - in the headhoncho’s Berlin studio. It’s a wonderful song, perfectly balanced between underground electronica and pop music only in the best sense of course.
Flip record one and put the needle on it’s our dear friend Ian Pooley delivering the goods with „Durmitor“ – a truly epic and future-meets-past kinda piece, sitting on a rock solid and bottom heavy groove. This track took our hearts by storm. We also felt a strong urge representing with a new SBTH track and so we have the deep and percussive „Planet Greg“ next up – one (of many) musical perspectives we have on modern, afro inspired house music with a little leftfield twist.
Side C we have Frankey & Sandrino with „Kuma“ – a funky melodic lick, building and building on a warm, clean yet very effective groove. This one’s taking you away and when the synth solo hits, there’s no way back. Moving onwards Love Over Entropy serves a tasty as always „Lemon Pie Type Vibe“ – a simply beautiful and airy track build around a broken beat. We consider this as a very special birthday cake. Have a slice!
Side D introduces new talent Hadiid who’s representing from the island of Borneo in Malaysia. Rudi’s view on electronic music is perfectly merging his cultural roots in South East Asia with the ability to create cutting edge dancefloor weapons. „Rebelwave“ is just the perfect proof. Finishing off the release in style is our Anthony Georges Patrice. The frenchman who set things off for us with his now classic „Parallel Romance“ five years ago, is showcasing a different side with „CTAFY“. This bouncy breakbeat with airy synth textures and delayed percussion lines also highlights Anthony’s strong development as an artist. Wait for the bassline drop!
Looking back on five years of Lossless we feel extremely excited that nearly all of the artists who release with us to date are part of this new Outbound.3 compilation. Thanks to all artists and everyone who supported our Lossless journey so far. It feels as if we’ve only started yesterday so there’s more to come.

A1: Azaka
B1: Kosanba
Release info:
We are pleased to present you the second EP of the infernal duo INTERNACIONAL ELECTRICAL RHYTHMS formed of Trikk and Mathias Schober.
Let’s dive right in and start with "Azaka" and it’s live recorded percussions. This track just builds and builds until it falls back into that irresistible and sexy main groove. It reminds a bit of old DJ Gregory tracks - just 10 BPM less. Some would even say it is epic, we wouldn’t argue though. Anyways, it serves the dance floor well and proved it many times in the past.
The second track "Kosanba" keeps the EP in balance. "Kosanba" sounds more like a Sci-Fi movie soundtrack at first listen. A basic rhythm built around a modular sequence, upright piano, washed out guitars and an eerie spacey melody with tons of reverb form a track that still works in a club context, yet it’s definitely one of those tracks for the right moments as it sets a different tone for sure.
Bruno and Mathias sure continue what they’ve started so well last year with their INTERNACIONAL ELECTRICAL RHYTHMS disguise.

B1: Something To Fill An Hour (Perel Remix)
B2: Something To Fill An Hour
Release info:
First things first. Yes, you’re right, there’s LL1218 missing but please be assured we’ve just changed the schedule a bit for this one.
LL1219 is introducing a new act, hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. ATELIER is a duo formed of Jas Miszewski & Alexander Inggs. Their ‚Something To Fill An Hour‘ EP is a prelude to a full-length player which will be released early next year. On the EP you will find the beautifully crafted and organic sounding original which is backed up by two remixes coming from the super in-demand and always tasteful PEREL and the label heads Thomas and Mathias as SBTH.
‚Something To Fill An Hour‘ is a deep yet energetic track with all the right ingredients that make the Atelier sound - analog synths, drum machines, guitars, effect pedals and last but not least Jas' voice. It’s evolving from start until finish and will sooth you with it’s wide and deep sounds and a beautiful reverb - which btw was recorded in a church.
The remixes will please the dance floors, while Perel went for her trademark sound with 80s infected melodies and a broken drum machine based rhythm, SBTH built a strong foundation based on a slightly broken, low end driven beat with loads of tension to give the vocal the right appearance as the main element. All this makes an excellent introduction to Atelier and we’re happy to welcome two new faces to Lossless.

Release info:
“The miracle of being able to realize that your hands are cold...this is Love over Entropy”
Finally! We’re glad to announce Love Over Entropy’s return to Lossless in joyful anticipation of his new “Marka EP”. LL1217 assembles four versatile pieces of shimmering and floating pieces of modern house music. These cuts will certainly move and rapture dancers under the open skies or under the roofs of sweaty nightclubs alike.
The title track “Marka” - in all it’s different states and versions - has been a constant in Love Over Entropy’s live-sets for a while and it’s always a highlight. The main version is a stripped back track with an incredibly infectious rhythm programming and just the right amount of peaks in form of flashy chord progressions. Banger. Marka’s “Breaking The Beats” version is a dubby and chunky spaced out tool - one for the heads they say. Both versions are phenomenally well balanced and tailored with an astonishing attention to detail.
“The Whisper” is driven by a bouncy groove, topped off by sparse percussion and airy synth melodies with all the excellent atmospheres and depth that LoE creates so well, a track to get lost in. Last but not least we have “Stranger” based on more of those excellent LoE rhythms and feedback soundscapes with sprinkles of vocal and a very subtle profession.

A1: Mathias Schober - The Interessting Things Happen
B1: Mathias Schober - And Life Turns
B2: Mathias Schober & Alice Rose - Into Something Unique
Release info:
Lossless’ first offering in 2018 comes courtesy of co-founder Mathias Schober. With his “Continuing EP” Mathias’ definitely continues what he has started with his recent “Certanities EP“ on Optimo Trax. The EP is a true reflection of Mathias’ constant approach to push the boundaries and merge his influences to draw a coherent painting. In this case the drawing is consisting of three truly unique tracks.
The EP opener „The Interesting Things Happens“ is based on an irresistible, stoic groove accompanied by a tight muted guitar and bass, of course. Adding an infectious synth melody and more floating guitar layers that build a steady tension, Mathias is then releasing us into an aerial breakdown - till the electrifying groove is finally dropping in again. This leftfieldish affair will make the dancefloor move.
Next up we have „And Life Turns“, again built on one of Mathias Schober’s super tight trademark grooves. “And Life Turns” is led by a truly uplifting sequence, backed up by some nasty electric bass sounds. Sublime, dark, slightly twisted and definitely with the right dose of peak-time - just as we like it.
The third track on the EP is slightly different and it is not aiming for the club. On “Into Something Unique” Mathias invites Alice Rose for a collaboration. Some might remember Mathias’ remix for Jaap Lighthart’s „I Know Change“ that featured Alice’s vocals. This particular remix was such an excellent crafted production and it sticked - well deserved - with all the key players like Dixon, Âme, Black Coffee or Sven Väth for a while. In 2016 Alice and Mathias turned a few fruitful studio sessions literally „Into Something Unique“. This piece is a really bright, beautiful and very intense song that soaks you right into it’s one take performance. The sparse instrumentation in connection with Mathias careful sound design emphasises Alice’s beautiful voice.

A1: Momental
B1: Furia
Release info:
After an excellent 2017 we round out the year with Internacional Electrical Rhythms’ debut EP.
We first introduced you to this joint-venture of Trikk and Mathias Schober on LL1213 - our label compilation ‘Outbound.2’. Their ‘War Of The Worlds’ from that compilation sounded so fresh and other-worldly and immediately gained great support from the likes of Andrew Weatherhall, Solomun, and many more.
It was hard to pick an A-Side for the release, but we had to do it and so we open with ‘Momental’ - a dub-influenced and rather detailed banger with a constantly driving sequence and washed out synth chords that will drag you into a different sphere.
On the B, ‘Furia’ builds around a never ending synth string and a driving real tom drum groove. Together they make a team you cannot resist. It’s sexy, it’s dub and it a certain for making your floors move.
Yours sincerely, Lossless

Anthony Georges Patrice is back on the mothership with his second full EP for Lossless. He set the standard and a milestone for us with his "Parallel Romance EP" - a debut release not only for him but also for us back in 2014 which took the hearts of Mano Le Tough, Ame, Dixon and many more by strom.
After contributing exclusive tracks for Outbound.1 and Outbound.2 where he's featured as Búnus (teaming up with Wayne Duggan) he's now delivering the goods with his unique and versatile Nujan EP!
With the strong, dark and complex leftfield techno track "Aylanmasdan" leading the pack and the houseier, playful, deep but stripped back title track "Nujan", Anthony found just the perfect balance for this EP. And if that was not enough he's closing the circle with the beautiful "Nujan Les Pins" interlude.
Check it out and let the music speak for itself they say -
we hope you enjoy as much as we do!

D1: Bunús - Guinney
D2: Trikk - Return To Order (N.Y. Dub)
Release info:
A little more than two years since the release of Outbound.1 and we're ready with the next instalment. Once again we're reaching out to the label family to fully illustrate what Lossless has to offer - a fine blend of electronic music, made to please the dancefloor throughout the whole night.
Kicking off with a new project - Internacional Electrical Rhythms - formed by Trikk and label boss Mathias Schober, "War Of The Worlds", will get you in the mood for a full night of dancing. Spaced out horns and a rhythm you can't resist will take you to a higher level. On "That Is When" Schober flies solo to contribute a stripped-down and yet uplifting groover that builds the momentum.
Our Irish family member and true gentleman Neil Flynn, steps up to give us a big hug with his warm, subtle and vast builder of a track, "Shon". This gem of a tune will spill a full lovedose at it's peak. But there's no time to wipe away the tears of joy because Love over Entropy introduces his enchanting yet intoxicating melodies playing over a masterful groove on his epic "Land Before Time".
Also time to introduce another new born project, Bunús. Anthony Georges Patrice (who set the first milestone for Lossless with "Parallel Romance") and our Irish friend Wayne Duggan join forces under the alias on new track "Guinney." A mix of classic Detroit vibes and an irresistible groove with a typical AGP breakdown - so good times assured.
Finishing off this new journey in style, is man of the moment Trikk, with a New-Wave influenced track, driven by one of his signature synth lines - special!
Needless to say we feel extremely excited and validated that nearly all of the artists who have featured on the label to date are part of this new release.

A1: J.E.N.
B1: J.E.N. (Trikk Selva Densa Mix)
B2: Shadows
Release info:
For our 10th offering one of our youngsters is in charge. Mr. Neil Flynn is back with his very unique and mystical, celtic influenced style.
Following up on his first EP “Louise” and the brilliant “Island People”, Neil definitely refined his trademark style and invited the Irish folk musician Katie Kim for a deep and atmospheric vocal appearance on the main track “J.E.N.” - probably his finest work to date.
On the flip side our man of the moment Trikk adding his magic with slowing “J.E.N.” down to 114BPM and turning it into a percussion driven club banger with a perfectly embeded vocal. Last but not least we have “Shadows” a quirky whirlwind of a track that will sure make a buzz on the dancefloor with it’s whiny synths, noisy sequences and constant driving bassline. Onwards and upwards we go as Neil Flynn would say!
Yours truly, Lossless!

(B2) Legowelt – Disco Rout (Original Mix) (DE-Q20-02-00179)
Release Info
Occasionally the stars align to create something truly special. Well, without beating around the bush, that’s what we’ve got for you here. Not only a classic Legowelt hymn that’s ripe for a revisit but three quality remixers (Tuff City Kids, Catz 'N Dogz and Younger Rebinds aka Benny Rodrigues) turning in scandalously good remixes for Cocoon Recordings. Yes, we’re spoiling you...but you’re worth it!
Disco Rout first surfaced in 2002. The electro revival that had ushered in the new millennium was in full swing and this was to prove a seminal tune, being voted track of the year by Groove magazine. As if to prove a point the bass line still grabs you the moment it drops, while the laser-guided melodies feel as relevant today as they ever did. Fusing the past with a neon future, Legowelt’s complex interwoven elements fit like a glove and the clarity of the mix makes everything seem effortless. Maybe that‘s why it’s such a fascinating track to revisit, having already been remixed over the years by the likes of Deetron, Johannes Heil and Freeform Five.
Anyway, this current crop of remixes are equally top notch starting with Tuff City Kids who do what they do best, serving up an organic, conga driven workout complete with percolating synthetic percussion, cut up vocals and silky smooth choral pads. Warping and flanging the original riffs into an infectious, state-of-the-art revamp, they stay true to the retro vibe with added emphasis on the vocal hook for a more pronounced breakdown that briefly trips out before regrouping and taking flight once more.
Following hot on their heels is a screamer from Catz ’N Dogz who drop the tempo slightly, layering a metallic cowbell motif over a tough, robotic disco groove that adds extra swagger to the bass line. The original parts gradually spiral into view, cranking up the pressure till we hit a solid state of euphoria that in turn, disintegrates into freaky alien chatter. There’s no let up though, as squawking synths lock on to the rhythm and everything evolves into a full-on percussive outro.
So far, so fantastic. You would think there’s nowhere left to go after being blasted into outer space a couple of times already but we’re not done yet. Last but not least, Dutch master Benny Rodrigues aka ROD steps up under his Younger Rebinds alias with even more intensity than demonstrated on last year’s ‘Sound of Benny EP’ on Running Back. Picking apart the original with almost forensic attention to detail, he gives new life to each individual strand with an exhilarating mix that seems destined to leave its mark on dance floors around the globe throughout the summer and beyond. The second of his two remixes is included here, both having featured on a much sought after Cocoon Recordings limited edition white label. Remix two compliments the precision of the first with a more freestyle approach that’s in one hell of a rush to get going. The bass line rips through the mix, hihats scurry toward the cavernous, arpeggiated breakdown and we’re drenched in reverb as the synths dovetail dangerously, all the while paying homage to the hi-octane energy of the original. Rodriguez effortlessly toys with the crowd, frying the synapses and gorging on serotonin, as the mix motors relentlessly to its conclusion.
The Disco Rout remix EP is a shameless riot of sound that succeeds in doing something very special - by staying true to Legowelt’s vision, the artists involved not only demonstrate their notable skills as remixers but reaffirm the quality of a classic and timeless piece of music.

axel boman - Nokturn
2023 repress
Tracklist:
A. 1979 B. Nokturn (Grand Finale)
Shortinfo:
Pampa's favourite Barnhus boy returns to the label fold, and his previous episode is no easy act to follow: 2010 was the year, Holy Love was the name, and "Purple Drank" the undeniable track of the year; it captured the dancefloor zeitgeist with its sultry tempo, and created an classic with its instantly recognizable vocal. While he last left us falling down the rabbit hole, Axel Boman's newest concern is upward, forward, accelerated motion. "1979" cool-toned and pensive take on classic downtempo deep house. It holds on to the necessary bare banes of percussion, but surrounds it with light touches and a soothing pastoral feel. Time is taken and moments have room to breathe, in this meditative exploration of gently shifting moods. "Nokturn (Grand Finale)" is carnivalesque in the grandest sense, with endless movement via its dominant percussion pattern. Its looping background is perpetually primed for take off, building in intensity as the Latin rhythms preoccupy the shoulders and hips. A double bass phrase minimalist bass loop takes care of the low end groove, and together with glimpses of vintage disco sounds, creates another surefire hit.

One of the most sought-after IDs of the summer, Dyzen & Sideral’s collaborative mainstage weapon “Dialogue” is finally out after being rinsed by Mind Against at festivals the world. Combining energetic techno melodies with classic trance stabs, the rising stars bring out peak time dancefloor action. Veteran producer Recondite smooths out the original, taking it from the festival stage to the club, while keeping the energy intact. With the EP rounded out by the hypnotic “Radiant”, Dyzen proves himself as a big new name on Habitat.

shakedown - At Night (Shakedown's Galactic Boogie)
Simply an iconic track from Swiss brothers Mandrax and Seb K aka Shakedown, ‘At Night’ is one of the most recognisable house tracks of the last two decades. With one of the most-hyped remixes of the year, artist of the moment Peggy Gou delivers with a squelching 7 minute groover, bringing in that iconic synth motif to lift the production and keep it rolling. Stepping up to tackle this masterpiece with a nu-disco dance track, Tiger & Woods use cowbell to accent a B-boy beat, with drum machine breaks bringing it back to the dancefloor. With a sophisticated house remix with a nu-disco edge is Purple Disco Machine, fusing a funk-infused bassline with Terra Deva’s unforgettable vocals. Finally is a brand new version from the Shakedown duo themselves, the Galactic Boogie Mix. With saturated synths and interplanetary breakdowns, Shakedown bring a carefree 80s quality to this iconic track’s irresistible after-dark charm.

No Smoke - - More
The WD wagon continues to roll, bringing back the sounds of London's streets circa 1992 in all it's gritty glory! This, the latest instalment of reissues, reworks and rediscoveries see's a rare EP featuring cuts from a clutch of artists from the stable including No Smoke, Addis Posse & Gary A'Gaye. As ever, the Warriors sound is a stew of Dub, Hip-Hop breaks, House, Techno and synth sounds all collaged together using minimal gear and the UK warehouse and sound-system mentality. A heady mixture, you might say. Across 4 tracks we are treated to the ruffness, a handful of club ready bombs that will still do the damage right now in the 2019. As a special Record Store Day treat the mighty Jonny Rock has been drafted in via satellite to give us his extended, narcotic re-rub of No Smoke's killer 'Ai Shi Temasu (Japanese Love)' turning it into a winding, after hours DJ tool that will skilfully snake it's way through the dance at silly o'clock at any rave. Pure joy. OG pressings of this EP are sought after, expensive and rarely turn up. Now you can own this seminal piece of UK street music with a 2019 twist, in all the right ways!

Info:
EXTRAWELT are back! Although in fairness, they were never gone. On the contrary, since their first release on James Holden's Border Community Label dropped in 2005, Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have been responsible for a plethora of classics including "Schöne Neue Extrawelt" and "In Aufruhr", their two seminal albums on Cocoon Recordings. The duo are one of the most booked live acts worldwide, commanding a huge fan base. Their performances are the stuff of legend, making them the absolute highlight at every club and festival they play. So it's with great pride and respect, that we can announce the release of Extrawelt's third album for Cocoon Recordings. "Fear Of An Extra Planet" completes the Cocoon trilogy and the excitement growing among their fans represents a new high in the history of EXTRAWELT!
Musically, of course, there's enormous pressure on EXTRAWELT to deliver, but this is dismissed with a playful disregard and they are clearly focused on the job in hand. The album title "Fear Of An Extra Planet" sounds cinematic, like some art-house science fiction film, without giving too much away. However, from the first seconds of the opening track "Superposition", the album title makes 100% sense and sets the scene for the rest of the trip. We are immersed in wide open spaces and invited to explore dark and dusky worlds that transport us back to their Border Community years. Timeless and elegant, "Superposition" perfectly captures the epic, dream like quality that made James Holden's label so influential.
Second up, "Gott ist Schrott" takes a much more minimalist approach with its retro 80s drum programming, monster bass lurking in the breaks and playful Rhodes/synth riffs that span the divide between early German techno and deep Detroit electro with a distinctive film soundtrack aesthetic. "Oddification" continues this theme, adding extra spice reminiscent of the techno-synth vibe of Detroit with a punchy, almost Prodigy-style breakbeat complete with shredded vocal samples that gives us a taste of what's in store. "Gentle Venom" then takes the breakbeat motif to the next stage. The main focus here is the classy sprinter of a bassline, peppered with a flurry of intricate and subtle effects and modulations, that immediately trigger an intense, movie-like 'in pursuit' feeling.
With "Das Grosse Flimmern" we cautiously approach the album's high point. It's still in keeping with the soundtrack aesthetics, but faster and with more urgency. Almost hypnotically, Extrawelt invade us with an energy and impetus that always radiates from their music. Next in line is "Silly Idol" and here Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe opt again for a more minimal tack, focusing even more intensely on the dance floor to reveal a pulsing, twisted heart to the album.
"Punch The Dragon" is the hidden gem of the collection, utilising and melting together the most bombastic and playful elements. This one is totally off the hook, a sensory overload in an acoustic widescreen format! Then we have the title track "Fear Of An Extra Planet" which perfectly sums up the album concept. It opens up like a film score, with minimal passages following dark sequences that morph into dreamy melodies, all grounded by cool, constantly alternating analogue drum patterns. If you're not listening closely, you might get the impression that three or four different titles are mixed together; such is the effortless flow of the album.
As we near our destination, "The Friendly Coroner" really does honour its name. The morbid charm of the title is captured by a fluid bassline and melodic arrangements that border on the absurd, until the funky drum beat finally drops. In our mind's eye we see a cheerful medical doctor removing his bloody gloves, hanging his smock in the closet and vibing out in his neon drenched workspace. And there we sit, glued to our cinema seat, submerged in the different textures EXTRAWELT have conjured up on "Fear Of An Extra Planet". Over the course of the last title, the strings usher in the final acknowledgments as the credits roll. The dramatic end of "2084" leaves us transfixed in front of a black screen in a large, dark room safe in the knowledge that we've just witnessed a science fiction epic.
