"Crosstalk" is a collaborative effort between Theomatic's artists - a sort of a peer reinterpretation of each other's works. First on the A-side is Acos Coolkas' "Skyline", from their first-ever single on Theomatic, released in 2005, receiving a sonic facelift from An-2. This is followed by An-2's remix of D-Pulse's first track from their latest full-length album, "Gratitude", which first appeared as a mystery track on An-2's 2018 SoundCloud mix, now seeing the light of the day by popular demand, and is not to be missed. On the flipside D-Pulse deliver a two-part remix of An-2's "The Gift" - previously only available digitally. An-2 and Samos have turned the clock back to finish off a couple of sessions they'd recorded together years back. Maxim Samos is our keen friend and sophisticated guitar player from Minsk, Belarus that we know for years. His first appearance on Theomatic was back in 2008 with space-rock tune "Alpha Storm", which received lots of positive feedback and found its way to the Prins Thomas - Live At Robert Johnson compilation. As well as guitars, Maxim can play almost any string instrument and, on one of his erstwhile trips to Istanbul, he dropped by a music store, picked up a Saz and immediately set it alight, blowing away the entire staff. After scoring a big discount, he came out, clutching it in his hands. An-2 commented on Samos' playing on the Saz during one of his first visits to Minsk, and immediately suggested cutting a track together - something that took 10 years, but the wait's been worth it. What we've got is surreal halal-acid-folk-disco affair, perfect for whirling dervishes or dancing the dhikr. The story's continued on the B-side, where we're treated to a tale of trips in a GTI, before finishing with a Nordic saga about cold fronts coming at us from behind the Polar Circle.

7he Myriads debut on Theomatic with the stellar 'Betelgeuse EP'. It is a bow to the era of all-round enthusiasm for space exploration and travelling to far off galaxies that swept across Russian (then Soviet) youth in the late 70's-early 80's. Highly influenced by the sound of the likes of Didier Marouani's Space and Soviet space-rock legend Zodiac (which sold 20 million copies of their albums in the USSR and lately found way to Environ's "Unclassics" compilation), all four tracks on the EP are well charged with nostalgic analogue synth lines, powerful guitar riffs and dynamic live drums. When we heard Pompeya for the first time and were told they were from Moscow, we were like: - What!? Are you kidding? This is probably the first Russian band singing in English with such a classy Brit touch and male vocal being very strong and sophisticated at the same time. They jestingly describe their style as "melodramatic popular song" and "Cheenese" is indeed a very dramatic piece with simple yet powerful composition and lyrics that really make BIG sense. The original is very well supported by a bunch of remixes each of which is unique on its own. An-2 & Samos come with a warm, relaxed and funky instrumental version which is followed by a blockbuster mix from Moscow disquo maestro Leonid Lipelis (an entirely perfect dance version of the original that could ever exist) and finally, for those few sirs and mesdames who are not yet aesthetically satisfied and who still find themselves seated while others jump and shout, here come D-Pulse with their 'Paranoid' mix that gathers the thunderclouds to the full darkness and - at the end - lets the revival sunbeams break through. For the first time on this planet Dial owner LAWRENCE shows up on an excursion to his beloved PAMPA imprint. The double feature "Kurama" presents two deepy enchanting anthems, a timeless vision of love. After touring around the globe with his new label mate DJ KOZE since ages, having the most successful release in Dial history with Kosi's Efdemin remix, sharing music with each other like crackbrained, it is not a big surprise for LAWRENCE to occur with two of his best pieces on PAMPA Records.

Well known for his releases on Mule Electronic, Ghostly International, Styrax and his own imprints Smallville, Dial and Laid, it was his first Mix CD on Cocoon Recordings "Timeless" which made Lawrence put some cats among the pigeons. With the new PAMPA again he has proved that the holy temple of deepness has to invite some flawy hypnotists once in a while to get clouded and shaken.

The number 09 is dedicated to two most famous experiences in Japan: The Kurama Mountain in Kyoto, one of the most amazing places on earth, and Oolong High, one of the most amazing drinks on earth- cold Oolong Tea on the rocks with a zip of japanese Shochu liquor. After KOZE and LAWRENCE had another few of these beverages again they started dreaming of this wonderful release.

Initially released in 2006, ‘Revep’ is the third collaboration album between Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto and the third installment of V.I.R.U.S.’s five albums series.
Remastered in 2021 in collaboration with Calyx Studio, the album’s recordings are accompanied by three new compositions titled ‘City Radieuse’, ‘Veru 1’, and ‘Veru 2’.
‘City Radieuse’ was composed for the 2012 short cinematic essay titled ‘Cité Radieuse’ and part of Carsten Nicolai’s ‘future past perfect’ series.
The video shot at le Corbusier’s Unité D’Habitation in Nantes (called ‘cité radieuse’) takes the viewer through the modular system and design applied to the residential buildings. The film’s narrative unfolds
through a sequence of images tracking the apartments’ indoor space and details, and points to the different benchmarks of standardized production as they correlate to their environment and its inhabitants.

The album’s original recordings resulted from musical exchanges that began with ‘Vrioon’ and revolved around a collaborative arrangement of Sakamoto’s classic ‘Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,’ the theme music
to the 1983 movie starring David Bowie, Takeshi Kitano, and Ryuichi Sakamoto himself.
In ‘Revep,’ the piano takes the lead while the padded bass and pitched electronic frequencies mark sudden change. Deeply evocative and effortlessly colliding worlds of analog beauty and digital mastery,
this album is considered another indispensable record from the duo’s ongoing collaboration.
