Burnin Music is proud to present part 2 of label head Pegasvs’ ‘In Search Of’ trilogy of releases, in which the producer continues his exploration of dance floor soundscapes via inventive, incisive and emotive house-laden cuts.

Building upon the infectious sounds contained within the ‘Extend and Play’ EP, ‘Music Not Numbers’ contains a strong series of thematic elements that run through its core, with a concise focus on mood, rhythm, and feel.

The title track, a subtle protest to the algorithm-driven consumption of music, packs a serious emotive punch with its vintage House-oriented chord style and expressive, upbeat drums.

‘Groove Theory’ almost feels like a continuation of the title track, with the strong vibrations carried over through yet another inspired chord progression and emphatic, hands-in-the-air energy.

‘Trapped in Love’ hangs its hat on the permeating bassline and euphoric vocals up top, with inventive acid tinges placed throughout for maximum impact.

Wrapping things up with ‘The Flute Song’, Pegasvs pulls out all the stops in providing a fun-feeling, long-lasting stepper that ends proceedings effortlessly - playful, full of cheer and poise, this is dance music at its most joyous

Well known by now for his simmering and infectious house-laden cuts, ‘Extend and Play’ is yet another wondrous piece of house music that cuts across the genre’s horizon line with aplomb.

The title track unravels with a myriad of Jazz and funk fusion melodies nestled atop a delicate rhythmic section that never ceases to get the room shakin’.

‘Wonky Business’ is a slice of hands-in-the-air dance music that pairs infectious disco guitar riffs with infectious melodies and an irresistible bassline.

‘Hidden Sounds’ sits somewhere in the midrange between the previous two numbers, with driving chords sitting atop a rolling rhythmic bed that simply oozes energy and feet moving.

Finally, ‘Not Far Behind’ slides into view to facilitate a little trip into paradise, as euphoric pads and scintillating acid lines lift the listener to new heights of being.

New year, new release for Burnin Music. After 2 strong EPs in 2017 (Ponty Mython BM001 and Leonidas + Kay Suzuki BM002) Burnin Music first release of 2018 features the first EP of an up-and-coming British artist called Michael Iwatsu also featuring a remix by German producer, SoulPhiction. Fracture (Original mix) is a 10 mins long journey. A beautiful odyssey between beats and harmony, between intuitive dance floor and subtle emotions. The main piano brings a perfect balance to the stomping house kick & drum. And as the journey continues, the trip develops leading to more sonic ventures. Exciting, touching, pure, Fracture (Original Mix) is a very balanced track. On the flip side, house music master Soulphiction accomplishes the task to bring the track into a dark basement. His remix is a condensed version of everything that makes the original track an emotional one and also add a Detroit twist: it becomes a raw, moody and very intuitive sonic object.
