Longhair - Aquamen
Tracklist:
A1 Mangostine
A2 Pans&Pots
B2 Mangostine (Axel Boman Remix)
B2 Aquamen
Shortinfo:
Next on Berlin’s Renate Schallplatten is Longhair, a project formed by Marko Pelaic and Benedikt Bogenberger, two residents of Berlin’s Wilde Renate. Mangostine, a four-tracker, follows last year’s 12” on Dutch label Bordello A Parigi and a track contribution on House Is OK. It lands with an Axel Boman remix.
The EP opens with the title track, its name drawn from the exotic fruit. Over a brooding bassline we hear light, fluttering melodies and uplifting keys, creating a peak-time roller that’ll put smiles on faces across the dancefloor. “Pans & Pots,” the A2, starts as a darker affair with trippy vocal samples and fluttering drum patterns, before warm keys and intricate instrumentation lift the mood to make for a fun-filled jam peak-hours feel-good jam. On the flip, Studio Barnhus head Axel Boman reworks the title track into a more subtle, deeper cut; the melodies remain but in the background, replaced at the forefront by tribal drums and abstract vocals. Closer “Aquamen,” meanwhile, opens as a straight-edged techno cut with a heavy bassline and fluttering snares, before playful keys and intermittent sci-fi samples add some texture. It’s another late-night jam that’ll lift the energy without ever being too forceful.
The release is Renate Schallplatten’s first since 2017’s various artist compilations. Earlier EPs have landed from Moscoman, Sebastian Voigt, Wareika, and more.

Longhair - A Moment Of Peace.
Rising from the berliner underground, Longhair have earned with the years a notorious reputation on the scene supported by some of our favourite imprints. Amsterdam's Italo-tastemakers "Bordello a Parigi", "Permanent Vacation" and Paramida's "Love on the Rocks" have found a place for the trance-spacey sound of the berliner based duo.
"Axis Mundi" is a space oddity that rises from our living room all the way to the solar system, Earth, Saturn and Pluto until the end of the Galaxy, no borders, the limit is set by yourself. Hammering and corrosive basslines, full of small little details and shining hidden stars in form of brilliant melodies that will make an exciting journey thru the Milky way.
Longhair show here their great versatility blending different subgenres that vary from Indie dance, leftfield house, Nu-Disco and everything in between and adding their particular cosmic touch and some trancy elements. A record that will work great either at the club wearing our favourite dancing shoes or chilling at home at our sofa.
Get ready for a cosmic trip, to the infinity and beyond..

Short Info
The Covid Pandemic hit Germany in March 2020 and by the 15th of March all of the public life was shut down. It
was the same day where my son Rio was born.
For me, this early stage of the pandemic had something very intimate and private, since I was forced to stay at
home with my young family for weeks. In Mai 2020 I started to leave the house, for other occasions then just
going to the shop or taking a walk and that was the time I started working on “Hotel Solaris”. It was an intense
creative rush: in 8 weeks the album was written, performed and produced in one flow. I had two days every week,
where I could go to the studio for 4 hours and that time the album was done. It had a corpus in a sense that I
knew I wanted a faster or a slower track at points, but the whole hotel idea came when I saw photos of the old
Hotel Arkada on the Croatian island Hvar, that my extremely talented friend Marcella Zanki shot on her holidays.
They show a well preserved socialist-brutalist hotel architecture in the middle of the beautiful Adriatic and for me it
was like looking at pictures from a timeless place, without knowing where and when it exactly was, totally surreal.
I liked that idea of a hote that stands as an escape symbol from the real world, which was something everyone
needed when the pandemic was building stronger and stronger. I decided to call it Hotel Solaris, inspired by the
novel from Stanislav Lem, where Solaris is a planet covered by an ocean which triggers our subconscious mind to
become reality. It all fit at the end and “Hotel Solaris” was done.

Longhair - AA. Longhair - The Forbidden Dance (Rhumba Version)
Tracklist EP:
A. Longhair - The Forbidden Dance (Original Version)
AA. Longhair - The Forbidden Dance (Rhumba Version)
From the murky depths of Berlin comes a monster, a wicked beast with two heads, a strange penchant for house music and the bizarre. Longhair is the duo made up of Marko aka Homeboy and Bene from Peak & Swift, two well known figures in the Berlin musical community who have begun to amass inter-est and intrigue as a production outfit, appearing on imprints like House Is OK and Bordello A Parigi. There is an unholy amount of musical ammunition ready to be unleashed upon the innocent world and it's bloody great.
There are plenty of influences from all kinds of corners in Longhair, from 80's synth sounds, to Italian dream house beats, but it clearly has its own vibe as they demonstrate on "The Forbidden Dance", their debut single for Paramida's Love On The Rocks label.
A ubiquitous summer hit in the making: a sure-fire combo of unforgettable melody, nostalgia kicks, totally dreamy production and the sound of seagulls. On the flip, we find the Rhumba mix, a mostly beatless counterpart, perfect for DJs that want to get creative.
Longhair's take on house music is emerging as a sound of their own; groovy, very danceable but laid back, marked by a progressive approach and a softer attitude and ultimately an ideal match for Love On The Rocks.

Outside a cold wind whistles through the leafless trees. Inside, in the Bordello, we maintain the summer heat with the inviting warmth of a new signing: Longhair. Incandescent notes, a powerful kick drum and thick bass introduce the pair of Swift and Homeboy with their track “Squirt.” Claps coalesce with radiant chords as the Wilde Renate residents beam happiness from speakers. “Bunny” follows. True to its name, the second piece is an alluring work of soft pads, gentle percussion and playful melodies. Hopping between styles, “Bunny” shines with a glistening Miami chic and glows with a house brightness. The chesty thump of drums is met by toms and a funk-filled synthline for the journey that is “As We Travel.” Clear seas and sun-kissed beaches are conjured as Longhair whisk you away on a final voyage of pure musical pleasure.

LANG:
Peak & Swift’s first full EP and no surprise it’s on Renate Schallplatten. The Berlin based duo drops some heavy bass lines with storyline synths on the A1 Floppy, taking you to a time when you were high on the dance floor; your eyes closed, the lights still shining through your lids. The bells ring in angelic exasty rounding off the title track to be a sure instant classic named after their party series Floppy Drive. The EP embodies 90’s dance culture. Marlon Hoffstadt pumps up the drive and adds the depth that only a seasoned raver could reference, making you feel like a Sonic the hedgehog speed walk. First track on the B-side, Aurora, is the kind of music you would hear in a 90’s sci-fi B-movie where the soundtrack aged better than the movie. The EP is rounded off with Gonzo, a vintage house production from the duo hailing to 90’s legend Torsten Fenslau.

Tracklist:
A1 Michal Zietara - Mr. Joy
A2 Michal Zietara - Mr. Joy (Ian Pooley Remix)
B1 Michal Zietara - Euro Robot
B2 Michal Zietara - Pink Seal
Shortinfo:
Renate Schallplatten's eighth release comes from Michal Zietara with Olympia Europa. The four-track EP, the Polish-born, Bavaria-raised, Berlin-based Renate resident's solo debut features three originals plus a remix from Ian Pooley.
Opener "Mr. Joy" is a late-night uptempo jam with a punchy bassline and warm pads. Chopped vocal samples come to the fore around the breakdown, raising the tension for maximum euphoria upon the beats' return. Ian Pooley's flowing remix on the A2 is in the signature '90s filter house style. The vocals lead the way, adding some warmth to a rather stripped-back affair. It's another peak-time cut that makes you want to close your eyes and move to the music. The punchy beats and upbeat melodies return on "Euro Robot," this time paired with intricate drums, fluttering vocals, and high-pitched keys. Closer "Pink Seal" is more downtempo and pensive, centered around coherent vocals and smooth pads. The beats feature less prominently, even fading away after a brief midsection. It's a cerebral track; a moment of self-reflection in an otherwise upbeat, high-energy EP.
The EP is Renate Schallplatten's second of 2019, following Longhair's label debut. Earlier EPs have landed from Moscoman, Sebastian Voigt, Wareika, and more.

Tracklist:
A1. Girls Down South A2. Deluded Heart B1. Dévoué B2. Dévoué (Manfredas Remix)
Shortinfo:
Renate Schallplatten returns with a vengeance, this time showcasing the outrageous talent of our fair-haired Israeli grumpster, Moscoman. Three Yacht Rock killers on acid backed by a larger than life remix from Lithuanian madman, Manfredas. Join us as we take you on a journey through the psyche of a boy turned man turned sarcastic black sheep. Moscoman takes you on a hazy voyage to visit his "Girls Down South" for some good times involving 40 ounce malt beverages and maybe a taste of his finest wacky tobacky. Following that is one of Mosco's first ever productions, "Deluded Heart" featuring dreamy, mdmaesque synth action galore. Flip the cassette tape and you find "De?voue?" where Mosco puts the top down on his Chevy Malibu and shows us how smooth his oscillations can get. As you chug along the coast of the mind's eye, you can help but think, "Either the car is speaking to me or I ate to many gel tabs at the last rest stop." When you let the needle keep running, be prepared for a behemoth of a remix by Manfredas featuring gypsy soloists playing bootlegged oriental instruments chopped up in a sampler he bought at a yard sale in 1992. Face melt city.

UPC: 827170545465 12" Release : 02.06.2014
Tracklist LP: A1. Chapter One feat. Hllywd A2. Chapter One (Permanent Vacation's Medellin Refix) B1. Out Of Sight feat. Angela Chambers B2. Out Of Sight (Good Guy Mikesh Remix)
Short info: Sebastian Voigt, cult leader of Lokee Musik and resident record slinger of the illustrious Salon - Zur wilden Renate presents a four track EP on Renate Schallplatten. The release includes two original tracks featuring different vocalists, plus remixes by Permanent Vacation and Good Guy Mikesh. All tracks were produced, tested and approved in Berlin's favourite madhouse, Wilde Renate. Enjoy... In his own words, Sebastian explains:
"These tracks were made shortly after i moved into my new studio right above the main dancefloor at Renate, where I also play regularly. So saying that the Renate vibes were an inspiration for this EP is a bit of an understatement. The overall aim of this EP (if there was any) was to make music that I would like to hear played in the club. I was introduced to Hllywd through a common friend and when he came down for a first session we just started recording while he was improvising over a track I had been working on. Most of the vocals you can hear in 'Chapter One' are from that first take. The piece with Angela came together in a similar fashion. I had been listening to a lot of 80s stuff like Chris and Cosey at that time, which gave me the initial inspiration for the track. When Angela came to the studio we started jamming together, and a first draft of 'Out Of Sight' was finished that same day."

Tracklist: A. Klaus You AA. Klaus You (Skatebård Remix)
On a dark and stormy night deep in the seedy underbelly of Berlin, Samanta Fox was walking the streets alone looking for something to ease her hunger for adventure. She met a boy named Klaus who brought her to an old building full of strange people with shifty eyes who were rhythmically dancing and shaking their heads to a steady and powerful beat. These oddly dressed people all worshiped a god-like being who they all called Renate. In the midst of the crowd Samanta bumped into a man, a strong man who went by the name of Snuffo. He took her to a room full of smoke and broken televisions to show her something exciting. She said, "What is this?" Snuffo whispered to the fox, "Girl, this is acid." From there the night went sideways. Faces of the people in the crowd began to move in weird ways. The music consumed her mind. As the evening rolled on, she came across a bearded character who went by the name of Skatebård. He spoke in a foreign tongue that she strangely understood. Together they found their god Renate and slowly faded away into the cold Berlin night

Sven Väth - L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix)
Tracklist: (1) Sven Väth – L'Esperanza (Original Album Version) (DE-Q20-24-00009)
(2) Sven Väth – L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix) (DE-Q20-24-00010)
L'Esperanza (Hope) is undoubtedly one of Sven Väth's greatest hits. After more than 30 years, we are very proud to revive this timeless masterpiece for you on Cocoon Recordings. The artwork of the A-side is from the original 12" cover, which was released on Eye Q Records back then. Anyone who knows Sven recognizes that he has always felt free and evolved in terms of appearance and style. That's why we instantly loved the idea of Sven re-staging himself in the same pose but in a new guise. This picture disc documents a 30-year-long transformation, both sonically and visually. It is a beautiful journey through time and a true collector’s item.
A1: L'Esperanza (Original Album Version) 1993 Produced in 1993, this track has certainly not lost any of its charm over the years. Lovely string sounds envelop you in a cloud of comfort, while the filtered downbeat emphasizes this feeling of lightness. The catchy tune of the playful synthesizer melody invites you to close your eyes and start dreaming. Let yourself fall into a deep state of meditation and trance. The airy electric bassline comes with a charismatic power and opens a door to the subconscious, calling on you to dive deep. The atmosphere of this composition sits somewhere between drifting through the sea and hovering through space.
B1: L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix) 2023 A revised version of the "Hope Will Move Mountains Mix" by "Visions Of Shiva" occurs on the B-Side in the form of Len Faki’s hardspace mix. Len is renowned for his elegant edits and refined modifications as part of his side project, this time delivering a stripped-down 135 BPM version that fits perfectly into the current zeitgeist. A club version of "L'Esperanza" that radiates a high level of euphoric energy, constantly pushing the rhythm patterns forward. All hands go up in the air at the latest when the piano part starts in the middle section. Let’s go back to the good old days of the original 90s trance sound since the cheerful arpeggio synth melody takes us along.
What is certain, you can't tell that either version has been around for 30 years.

There are mysterious records. Records hiding and showing something at the same time. This is one of them. It is made from two records that were most probably released in the mid-1970s, most probably primarily by Turkish Roma.
It brings together what Anadolu pop music lovers always dream of: Anatolian geleneksel (traditional folk tunes), disco and funk, jazz and hard rock, psychedelic sounds, hard-hitting drums, Arabesk percussion, and hip-hop friendly breaks. Put together in a careful, smooth production with a warm, relaxed and dance-friendly vibe.

Radio Slave - Wake Up (Idjut Boys 'Shed' Mix)
Superpitcher and Idjut Boys remix Radio Slave’s ‘Wake Up’. Radio Slave’s spoken word slow-burner ‘Wake Up’ dropped on Rekids March ‘23, winning support from the likes of Roman Fluegel, Louise Chen and Red Axes and continuing a run of singles that explores the house and disco roots of the iconic British UK/Producer. Now, he invites Kompakt a?liate and Hippie Dance co-founder Superpitcher alongside UK duo Idjut Boys to reimagine ‘Wake Up’ on a fresh 12”. The original ‘Wake Up’ saw Matt Edwards, aka Radio Slave, utilise low-slung grooves and an iconic speech-like vocal. Superpitcher remixes the track ?rst, turning it into an acid-infused trip with its vocal samples echoing through cavernous, dubbed-out soundscapes. On the ?ip, we see Idjut Boys turn up the ?ange in their hypnotic version while maintaining the original’s bassline and stripping back the vocal to eerie whispers.

Oceanvs Orientalis - Neutrality (Nick Curly Remix)
Oceanvs Orientalis teases his highly anticipated album 'Portrait of the Obscure’ on Crosstown Rebels with the third and penultimate single ‘Neurality’, remixed by 8Bit and Cecile head honcho Nick Curly. Istanbul-based Safak Oz Kutle, aka Oceanvs Orientalis, is a producer and live act who blends the rich sonic cultures of Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian and Arabic music to curate his take on electronic music. The first two singles from his forthcoming album on Damian Lazarus’ legendary Crosstown Rebels have showcased his diverse sound at its fullest, and now the third offering and final single ahead of the LPs release confirms him once again to be a standout talent as he unveils the captivating sonics of ‘Neurality’.
An absorbing and stirring production, ‘Neutrality’ brings a darkly involving groove that is multi-layered and hypnotic, with several shimmering vocals, jangling percussive lines and ethereal pads all locking you in for an enthralling ride. A remixer who needs little introduction, Nick Curly is as integral to the tech house genre as anyone in the scene, heading up key labels such as 8Bit and Cecile while helping to define the genre as we know it today. His interpretation is deep and warm, with slinky drums carefully deployed amongst vocal whispers that bring human soul. An excellent final preview into what’s still to come, ‘Neurality’ delivers another exceptional production, leading perfectly into the release of the full-length project this April. More

Pete Heller's Big Love - Big Love (Original 12" Mix)
It’s almost hard to believe that a record with anthem status like Pete Heller’s ‘Big Love’ was created out of a happy accident, but that is exactly how it happened. Left to his own devices as his studio partner Terry Farley went to watch a Chelsea game, Pete Heller was playing around with his Akai sampler when he produced what is arguably one of the most recognisable pieces of dance music of the 1990’s. Earlier this summer Urbana Records boss and Spanish powerhouse David Penn took to remixing this enduring classic. Winning over dancefloors in Ibiza and beyond with his signature rolling bassline and infectious groove, the record soaring to both Beatport and Traxsource #1. Now Defected present a special 12” package that features David’s remix, joined on the A-Side by The Dronez Remix, where house masters Erick Morillo, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez lend their classic house capabilities to the track. On the B-Side is Pete Heller’s original, sounding as incredible as ever over twenty years after its original release, once again proving the timelessness of ‘Big Love’.

Space Dimension Controller - Carinacid
2025 repress
Tracklist
A1. Kosmische Conga
A2. Echopet
B1. Minehead
B2. Carinacid
Re-Dial 303.
The follow-up to the first Acid Sampler is now in the hands of a single artist. Space Dimension Controller does Running Back the honor to leave his fingerprints on the (usually) silver box - and it’s a match made in heaven. The Irish man’s music is mostly a nod to the subtle and more delicate ramifications of electronic music. His Acid Sampler is no exception. Most of the EP presents itself as an ode to the brain dance vibe of acid house rooted music. While leaving out the harder and faster styles of the genre, SDC manages to pour his heart and soul as a producer into these four charming tracks.
Kosmische Conga works as the leader of the pack and pirouettes with memorable hooks, synthesizer swells and descant acid lines. Echopet introverts the whole concept, while Minehead peaks with it. Named after the seaside town that harbored the Bloc Weekend festival, its a warp-free romantic reflex of the brain dance vibe – or a heartfelt love song for circuits. Carinacid completes the quartet with a chugging and hugging mid tempo beat that could have gone on forever. Acid test passed! Artwork by Gasius.

Krystal Klear - Miyoki
Tracklist
A. Euphoric Dreams
AA. Miyoki
Shortinfo:
How do you go on after a feast like „The Division“ - especially if it included a main course like Neutron Dance? You don’t! And you don’t even have to try. But like with any great meal, one can do magic with the leftovers (see chop suey, stew or goulash for further reference). In any case, Krystal Klear doesn’t need to worry about that. Having cracked the DNA code of „dance music“ on his first EP for Running Back, this double-A-side-follow-up-single feels alive, floats upstream and fires on all cylinders. While Euphoric Dreams is the musical incarnation of an Alexander Shulgin formula (your spine gets tingled all the way including a wonderfully prolonged break down) or the scoring of the proverb that „at the bottom of patience one finds heaven“ and „happiness is just around the bend“. Speaking of which, Miyoki does exactly that to every pair of knees around. A relentless bass line and a deadly snare („yes, you thrill me, when you fill me“*) are enough to force almost any kind of dance floor into submission.
*Freely adapted from Les Femmes - Yes, You Thrill Me - Kee Wee, 1984

Tresor Records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. Three of the finest in this collection were contributed by Surgeon; "Basictonalvocabulary", "Balance" and "Force + Form" all originally came out on the Berlin institution between 1997 and 1999. Surgeon's inimitable combination of Detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his British homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases on Tresor. Tresor Records have decided that its high time to give these seminal albums another airing, and will present each in a staggered series of 2LP represses throughout the year. "Force + Form Remakes" accompanies Surgeon's third album on Tresor, and as per its two predecessors, presents essential alternate versions by Surgeon and Mick Harris. Tresor.116 was remastered in 2015 by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, London
