B1 Deepak Sharma - Deep State
B2 Deepak Sharma - The Fourth Branch
Release Note
Side A begins with Veil of Secrecy, its darkness bubbling up from the depths of a strong bass groove, loaded with rich textures and quirky shifts. Psyk offers his hypnotic trademark on the remix, a stripped down feeling with skillful changes to provoke the mind.
Side B begins with Deep State, its intensity gripping immediately due to its lavish percussion, off-kilter leads and unrelenting rolling bass driving the masterly arrangement. The Fourth Branch marches an eerie minimalism into bass oblivion with an abundance of lush atmosphere and well timed changes.
We recognize that now is a difficult time in society across the globe and especially to our dance music community where the impact is still unknown, however because of this, we believe it is more important than ever to share a common bond and a love for techno.
Hidden proves again its strength in consistency and quality with another hard-hitting four-track EP by label boss, Deepak Sharma.
The release is tough, gritty, dark and reflective of both the times we live and the artist involved: Deepak Sharma's heavy, rolling and sobering originals are paired with a somber, powerful remix with subtle movements by Psyk.

Partition’, appropriately produced by label owner Deepak Sharma is gritty and raw, centered on being a powerfully effective DJ tool. It symbolizes a nod to the label’s past and longevity but more so signals the future territory and modern world the imprint will reside in. To commemorate the memorable occasion, one of techno’s most authoritative, important and reputable producers, Developer of Modularz distinction has provided two heavy-duty remixes. Additionally, label staple Yuuki Sakai delivers an extraordinary remix to round out a historic release from Hidden Recordings.

A few times a year, a label releases a single that rocks the industry and the upcoming release from Hidden Recordings does just that. Gregory Shiff, who has also released off of such high caliber label’s as Stewart Walker’s Persona label in Berlin, produced the original and the label enlisted techno luminaries Adultnapper, Tony Rohr and Pheek, along with Deepak Sharma and Dieter Krause to add remixes to put together a five track monster that will, and should be in the crates of DJs around the world for the rest of this year and beyond. The best part about the release? The remixers brought their A-game and put forth effort that has helped make them some of techno’s most revered producers and artists. Simply put, all five tracks rock and will pound the dancefloor.

Featuring remixes from Thoughtless Music’s Noah Pred and Hidden’s own in-house production team team of Deepak Sharma & Dieter Krause, this single is the first in a series of quality releases from the label due out in 2010. This release is comprised of two original Jubilee compositions: “Dopamine” and “Histamine”. The pair of tracks are remixed by Pred and Sharma & Krause respectively. This four-track vinyl is an absolute must have for those who love to play a chugging, driving style of minimal and techno. Produced by Barcelona’s Pablo Bolivar, “Looking for a Shape”, pushes the depth and groove that he is known for, but in a more aggressive yet subtle way. The original doesn’t allow one to breath with constant changes in percussion and amazing flow. His “Phase Two” track will annihilate the speakers in clubs with deep bass and is a sharp, tightly wound percussive masterpiece. The remixes offered are by Monkey Brothers, who take a very different turn with the track and offer a soft vocal and is perfect for the dance-floor as it delivers a strong pop for those later in the night moments. Finally, the last track on the record is Hidden Recordings Owner Deepak Sharma + Dieter Krause’s interpretation of the original. They have created a more slowed down, druggy, groovier version of the original. It’s not quite as smooth as the original and that’s a good thing as the extra glitch is great for those who need more punch in their sets. There is something in this release for all kinds of DJs. Support from the world’s finest DJs and artists such as Pier Bucci, Argenis Brito, Butane, Maetrik, Gregory Shiff, Ambivalent, And ID, Barem, and Noah Pred.

The 2nd record from Hidden Recordings comes on the heels of resounding success from the first record which saw stores in Berlin re-ordering more! This record again features four tracks, two produced by label owners Deepak Sharma + Dieter Krause showcasing their first track using a female vocalist. "Spheres" is a sexy deep minimal groover which has received support from the likes of Remute, Greg Shiff and Pablo Bolivar. "Cubik" is a fuinkier groover, using a variety of synth stabs to keep the tracks energy high. On the flip side, are two remixes that Deepak Sharma + Dieter Krause completed for artists on their label. They too have been receiving a lot of support including the remix of Karri O's "Ajaton" reaching the #1 download on Kompakt-MP3. The track has a nice contrast of deep pounding drums and a soft melody that tells a story perfect for late in the night, or during the day on terraces. The remix of Monkey Brothers "Manuela" has seem support from the likes of Alexi Delano and Maetrik, and is deep rumbler with strong definitive percussion to give a late-night vibe.
