That is exactly what Cassius managed to transpose in 15 Again: a carefree music, coloured by some deep songs; like an emancipated soul, but always tormented. The hit "Toop Toop", sampled by Madonna or David Guetta, among others, and the intense "La Notte" illustrate perfectly this state of mind of the youth.

After their first (very) successful album, Cassius decided not to rely on their natural ability to make us dance to their groovy basslines, and came back with a daring project: integrate some mostly African-American influenced singings in their compositions to give electronic music a new dimension. Don't worry, the catchy-rythmic sound of Cassius is still here.
You might recognise the voice of Ghostface Killah, one of Wu Tang Clan's members that delivers a punchy performance on the upbeat tempo track "Thrilla", as well as Steve Edwards, the house music singer who sang with Swedish producer Axwell, and who's also known for having lent his voice to Bob Sinclar on the famous "World, hold On". Ibifornia, the new album of Cassius, will be released the 26th August. Once again, The French duet composed of Zdar & Boombass has managed to gather the crème de la crème on its project. The Rawkers EP…more than 10 years after the release of Cassius' first album, the duet comes out with a 6 tracks project that mustn't have left a lot of people who've listened to it indifferent. Well, if there are two people who appreciated the EP, it is Jay-Z & Kanye West, aka The Throne, who sampled the famous "I <3 USo" on their track "Why I Love You", turning it into an absolute popular anthem. If the former album of the band was a tribute to adolescence, here it is more about the earliest days of ours, as the song "Les Enfants" (Children) depicts it. To such an extent that The Rawkers EP sounds like a gigantic playground, full of joy and happiness. We're glad to repress this record and to give you an opportunity to escape through this enchanting opus, before Cassius' new album is released.
