Released February 2017 on his own Ladies and Gentlemen imprint, Green Supreme is the fourth studio album from house music veteran Phonique: a collection of 11 remarkable songs from one of the scene's most revered producers. To describe Phonique as prolific would be something of an understatement. To date, he has amassed a discography of more than 500 original tracks and remixes - as well as three previous studio albums - for acclaimed labels such as Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Systematic, Souvenir and of course his own label Ladies and Gentlemen, a collection which includes some runaway successes. Despite working on Green Supreme, Phonique's fierce production rate has continued unabated in 2016, with highlights including 'T Groove' on Katermukke and his stunning remix of Frank & Friedrich 'Coming Home' which landed on Universal earlier this year. Phonique's three previous critically-acclaimed albums attest to his evolving sound and diverse influences, his deep knowledge of house music, and masterful attention to detail, all of which are further established with Green Supreme, arguably his most diverse and polished album to date. Throughout his career, Phonique has excelled in working with vocalists, a theme that continues with this collection. Tracks of note include the creepingly ominous deep tech of 'Something To Remember', on which Stee Downes delivers a phenomenal vocal, and 'Taking A Chance', a delicately melancholic deep house cut complete with sweeping synths and half-caught vocal samples.
"This is my most focussed album by far" say Phonique of the project. "An album should be a pleasure to listen to, even in five, ten, twenty years, so it can't just be a club beats for 60 minutes. I need vocals, warm melodies and stories.

Berlin's favourite Phonique is no stranger to Dessous, and now he's back with the help of lovable crooner Louie Austen in this modern slice of exquisite electro-pop. Louie is well known for his touring as a club singer and also for working with numerous electronic producers in recent years. This collaboration is something of a highlight for all concerned!
Taken from Phonique's astounding recent album, 'Kissing Strangers', the original version takes a fluffy, summery electronic vibe, spreading Louie's vocals throughout the whole track to glorious effect. The combination of heartfelt lyrics and cutting edge production makes the appeal truly endless - a contemporary hit in the making!
Remixer de jour Alex Niggemann provides a tougher, beat heavy interpretation that fuses crisp garage drums with some contemporary stab action in a dramatic and contrasting prize for the DJ.
Aera slows down the tempo and provides a vocal version and a dub, which really blossom and grow into divine moments for the more chilled hours. An instrumental is also included in the digital release.

Our main man Phonique comes back strong with his next straight up killer on Dessous. Really needing no introduction, the veteran of the underground house scene throws us in at the deep end with this brand new release. ‚Perfect Stranger‘ is taken from his new album ‘Kissing Strangers’ and is a powerful,
modern house cut reflecting the many eschews of Phonique‘s intricate sound. Blending raw, soulful throw-downs with tight and crisp next-level production, perfect for those later night moments where rave is the only option! Sharp stabs cut through the mix and addictive vocal stutters flavour this energetic club track to perfection. Phonogenic & Sasse are both mainstays of the European house scene in their own right. Together they carefully craft a ear-tingling remix - ever so funky, clear and direct. Layering smooth bass and wicked percussion with expertly selected elements from the original, they whip up a deep storm as the mix progresses. Guti is the South American talent enjoying a recent boom with his post-tribal, neo-minimal grooves. He remixes ‚Perfect Stranger‘ into a roaring percussive journey, full of tumbling congas, dramatic fills and fx. Its a heady, psychedelic mix for thelater hours... where Guti really comes into his own!

Our man Phonique returns with three hot-off-the-desk tracks. ‚The Pump E.P‘ is a typically genre-bending mixture of pumping, groovy house tracks, exploring the many sides of this highly regardedproducer‘s fruitful repertoire. Lead track ‚The Pump‘ is a vivacious number that takes a clean, modern house aesthetic as a base and later infuses it with a dirtier, earlier morning vibe, with Phonique‘s playful use of the resplendent chord stabs. Its a slow burner indeed, and yet another example of his effortless arrangement talents. Fancying a spot of fresh air and a trip
into the audio countryside, ‚Bike Ride‘ is an even more playful journey into the kooky electronic world of Phonique‘s studio outings. Solid drums and warm sub bass provide the energy for all manner of pops and tweaks to unfold. Its another deeper track but be warned it still has the power to lift a crowd up onto its tip-toes. Going down more of a techno route, ‚Tooltime‘ completes the package and breaks out the big guns for some serious heads down dancefloor ignition. Urgent and tight late night action, not for the faint of heart, the track‘s title is too modest - it should really read ‚Peak Time‘.

Phonique has certainly been steering the buzz with his second album „Good Idea“ which has just been released by great critical acclaim. many reputable DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Funk D‘ Void or Ralph Lawson have already been playing these tracks in their sets. We picked the most beloved tracks from the LP and now here is a fresh new three album track remix EP containing mixes by Charles Webster, the long term deep house maniac who serves to be an incredibly good choice, Will Saul, label owner of „Simple“ and „Aus“, and a final remix by the man himself Phonique. On A1 it‘s the Charles Webster remix of „Worked It Out feat. Ian Whitelaw“. It starts off as a nice thudding beat with a crisp minimal click on the offbeat, until an echoing vocal sample swifts in and around starting off the soft but pushing „shoulder shifting“ bass line. Smooth piping reverbed blows outline an almost euphoric melody, a very trippy and atmospheric tune with soft cymbals pattering away in the background. Soothing sounds and housey chords mix perfectly to make a chilled out dreamy beach tune with a nice progressing beat. A swerling bridge with a 90‘s Casio chord melody steps in and then fades out to the echoes of the vocals drifting silently away into the sun..... On B1 it‘s the Will Saul remix of „Bang“. Dun, dun, dun, dun, whoosh! - ...then... a descending high minor melody calling with an electric bass response. Squeeky bird sounds and weird reverbed chords makes you feel like you‘re in a crazy dream falling and falling... yet the beat keep you stable and composed... just about! An out of tune dungeon computer game. Strange but true and also very interesting!! And finally, on B2 it‘s the Phonique version of „Space Cruise feat. Gui Borrato“. Trekking through a spaceship journey tune with mechanical functional sounds releasing here and there. A repetitive two noted melody comes in and fades out, is replaced by an array of spaced out tones, arrivies back again, meets up and resounds into a fancy orbit around the galaxy. The bridge has a nice slightly bongo beat helping to groove as the stars and planets fly past, only to finally end off with some echoing splashes.... indeed wheres my head at?!

Dessous rounds off the year with another highlight release by Phonique. After "Weapon" (des54), the always busy producer is back with a fine three track EP entitled "Lizard". The title track is based on a sharp lambent sound and a funky Phonique-style bassline joined by a hypnotising keyboard-expanse and nice melodies after the break. "Hermes" on B1 is a little more minimal and straighter groovewise with impulsive accented chords and sharp hihats pushing the track forward. A modern cutting edge House-track! "The Good Track" on B2 perfectly rounds up the EP. Fluffily grooving percussions, fleet-footed keys and soulful vocal-snippets mark this nice track which will be sure to rock deeper House-floors.

After his much acclaimed debut-album „identification“ (descd09 / deslp09) and three singles including „For The Time Being feat Erlend Øye“ (des52) Phonique is back with two fresh tracks on Dessous.„Weapon“ is a true dancefloor weapon. Chrystal clear sounds backed up with a large bass and dirty brutally oversteering synthlines characterize this dark track. So „hands up“ would have to be understood in a different connotation here ;-) The Tracks And The City remix adds some housey warmth to the track without losing the snappy drive of the original. „A Walk In The Club“ is a straight Electro- House track with a funky bassline which was inspired by Phonique‘s DJ gigs at F.U.N. / Weekend.

The long term, super-productive story of class-act producers Phonique and Tigerskin continues with the next installment on Ladies & Gentlemen. Over 4 tracks (and one more digital bonus) the pair explore their passionate, freaky and funky sides in this, perhaps the most functional release on the label yet! Phonique throws us two hot ones with ‚Sandman‘ and ‚Longdrink‘. The former skips through tripping, tooly and percussive territories while the latter goes all out with addictive rolling bass and hedonistic synth passages. Marrying an old-school flavour with high-end, modern moments, Phonique‘s side of this unmissable 12‘‘ is just as strong as his legendary DJ sets! Tigerskin then takes centre stage with ‚Loop Back In Time‘ and ‚Tony‘s Riff‘. ‚...In Time‘ grows from a rolling drum array into a surging disco fueled killer, that whisks us away to a brighter age with its soaring strings! ‚Tony‘s Tracklisting:

Phonique‘s unique vision of house music is continued with the next exciting release on his ‚Ladies & Gentlemen‘ imprint. Serving as a teaser and a taster for the forthcoming ‚Time For House‘ album, this EP holds three new and exclusive cuts. The album will feature these three lovely numbers, plus more hot new material from Phonique, Tigerskin, Rubini and more. As the name suggests, ‚Time For House‘ is an open-armed welcome into the blissful, warm and groovy, timeless house sound of L & G! Dessous and Poker Flat key artist Vincenzo has his say on the A side, with a long extended cut that gently builds lashings of tension and early morning drama with its deep stabbing push and open, floating breaks. As if we were soaring on the airy breeze of a warm summer‘s evening, or raising our hands at an essential openair in Berlin, ‚Return of Sha‘ captures that super elated feeling perfectly. Vincenzo refines his sound once again, and marks a beautiful moment for the dancefloor, but also for more relaxed situations.
Fellow Berliner Tigerskin aka Dub Taylor aka Alex Krüger continues the summery, frozen-moment vibes with ‚Too Hot‘. Simple and classic synth hooks combine and layer to describe a chilled house jam that oozes positivity and good times. Well known for his many aliases and wide variety of production styles, this track will not disappoint the deephouse heads out there, but will also please fans of his impeccable sound design and tasteful melodic abilities. Belgium‘s Kolombo aka Olvier Gregoire sends off the B side in style with his captivating classic deep dancefloor house exploration named ‚Next Dream‘. Wonderful, organic house sentiments meet characteristic percussion in this wonderfully sequenced conclusion to the EP. Gregoire is by no means a newcomer, with countless releases and remixes under his belt, and the warmer-weather vibes of ‚Next Dream‘ works wonders as always!

Boris Fox, - Grey Inferno
Phonique‘s blossoming ‚Ladies & Gentlemen‘ imprint is still bringing things on strong with this, their latest release: a split EP that dances between finely strung House and rousing, electronic space-disco.
First up ‚Supercity‘ Essen‘s busiest activists, Modern Walker & Urban Absolutes team up for a powerhouse production session, coasting the glistening waves of electron-charged House music. ‚No Problem‘ is a instant and infectious club jam, with a melancholic synth hook that simply allows the listener to delve deeper into the mindset of this beautifully conceived, emotive music. Still keeping a warm feel, ‚No Problem‘ is a serious dancefloor weapon for peak time action. Next our proudly upstanding ‚Dancefloor Dude‘, Boris Fox of LG01 fame, comes back with a discolectric cut that melts genres and sounds together into one sweaty fire-pit of goodness! ‚Grey Inferno‘ is a cosmic tale of intergalactic voyages far and wide, and lost hours on the dancefloor! Closely working beats and synths grind in unison in this funked up piece of electronic mastery. Finally Croatian producer Ilija Rudman steps into the cosmic light as he remixes ‚Grey Inferno‘ in fine style, adding his electro-house edge and twisting the original into a full-on club friendly workout. Maintaining the blissed out, spacey vibe, Rudmann brings a heavier groove, breathing fire into the heart of this dark-disco monster!

Kiloo, Phonique, - The Passion
Seldom does a track have such a story behind it as Kiloo & Phonique‘s ‚The Passion‘! It was three or four years ago in an online Deep-House forum that this warming tale began. Featured during a particularly on-form Laurent Garnier mix, came a track that immediately caused quite a stir. A who‘s who of Deep-House heads from Ame to Dixon were up in arms about this ‚phantom‘ track, that no-one could place. Could it be an old undiscovered rarity that they‘d all missed, or a new, unreleased, secret production...? Eventually, a track-listing was provided for Garnier‘s mix, and the artist was revealed to be the little-known but instantly respected ‚Kiloo‘ aka Pascal Saussac. Phonique‘s connection with the artist was forged after another of the newcomer‘s tracks, ‚The Game of Love‘, was signed to
the Parisian label ‘Plays Cool’. Having already been well respected on the French house scene, Phonique was asked to remix the track and so their relationship grew. Originally, ‚The Passion‘ was sent to Laurent Garnier‘s F-Comm imprint, but remained unsigned, and so for a long time it had no home, however Phonique always believed that it deserved a platform for release to the world. Now in 2008, this hit, four-years-in-the-making, has been completely re-recorded by Phonique and his studio partner Alex Krüger, and Kiloo‘s magical track is ready to start the message boards filling up once again!
For the remixes, we remain happily within the Deep-House genre, as first choice remixers Trickski, who supported the first two Ladies & Gentlemen releases in almost every set, maintain their ‚Members of the Trick‘ trademark style. They fill the role with a fine re-work that honours the original, and unfolds it into an intricately dubbed hypnotic journey. The second round of remix duties are beautifully fulfilled by long term pals Dplay and Manuel Tur. Originally part of those historic forum discussions years before, they have since risen through the ranks to become some of the most respected producers of the genre, releasing on labels such as Drumpoet, Freerange and Compost. Complete with a blissful piano breakdown, this confirms the fact that it will be hard to miss the ‚The Passion‘ this time!

Ladies & Gentlemen, please welcome Ladies & Gentlemen the new and special label for well selected discoid, but still underground sound of House with pop-appeal and a special touch of je-ne-sais-quoi. Ladies & Gentlemen will be run by gentrifi ed connoisseur Phonique, the smart and marvellous DJ & producer, who is known for his releases on Dessous, Mood, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Brique Roue & many other labels and who travels the world with his sophisticated musical mission. On the new label he will present his best discoveries from various destinations.Boris Fox is the fi rst signing on Ladies & Gentlemen.Phonique came accross Boris‘ productions when he recently travelled Eastern Europe and fi nally tracked down the young talent in a Marina near Odessa where Boris is regularly throwing House-parties.The „Dancefl oor Dude“-EP is a hypnotizing mixture of lindstrømy disco and modern minimal sound. The title-track leads to pure euphoria at the latest when that irresistable bassline comes in and these little
melodies let the sparks spray. On the B-side „Deeper Sense“ is a bit more straight forward but not less elaborate, before the deeper groover „Deeper Nonsense“ spreads warmth.Pure hypnotic disco for modern dancefl oors.

B2. I See – Demo Mix
German Powerhouse Labels Public Possession and Running Back Team up to bring you a nostalgic tribute to 80s Disco-Synth-Pop and Balkan Self-Pity. In a blend of cultural nostalgia and contemporary resonance, be-friended artists Krystal Klear and La Raf are set to release their first collaborative record titled "Boli Boli" (It hurts, it hurts) this autumn. The record is a steamy homage to the 80s disco-synth-pop. La Raf’s vocals equipped with Krystal Klear’s sound remind us of the bittersweet memories of the bygone yet still beloved music-era from former Yugoslavia.
The song came to life during a spontaneous creative outburst when Krystal and Raf reunited in a studio in London last year. Singer La Raf, a Croatian native based in Berlin, channeled the raw emotions of a not so recent break-up regret into the lyrics of "Boli Boli."
Infused with Balkan self-pity, the song delivers a very personal experience of pain and regret, not as mere sorrow but as a confident, joyful indulgence in one's own grief. This emotional depth finds a perfect counterpart in Krystal Klear’s talent for crafting melodies
that evoke both happiness and melancholia. Together, they have created a track that is as introspective as it is danceable, offering its listeners a glimpse into a world where sadness is embraced with a sense of pride and joy, capturing the cultural tapestry of the Balkan region.

Singing black-lit liturgies of bog bodies caked in mud, entranced by nocturnal landscapes flickering in the moonglow and powered by queer enchantment, Tristwch y Fenywod are a Welsh-language gothic avant-rock powercoven. Exhumed from the depths of Leeds’ experimental underground, the trio consist of Gwretsien Ferch
Lisbeth (Guttersnipe, The Ephemeron Loop), Leila Lygad (Hawthonn) and Sidni Sarffwraig (Slaylor Moon, The
Courtneys).
Stark, striking and bewitching, Tristwch y Fenywod’s self-titled album is their debut studio recording, following just
10 gigs and a live demo. Formed in 2022, Tristwch y Fenywod ("The Sadness of Women”) record exclusively in the
Welsh language, conjuring an eldritch, subterranean, alien folk music played on dual zither, electronic drums and
bass guitar. With towering, siren-like vocals curling around the Welsh consonants, accompanied by stark, martial
rhythms and swirling claw-plucked strings, Tristwch y Fenywod feels like an early 4AD recording dredged from the
waters of an Anglesey swamp. The effect is simultaneously chilling and stirring.
The eight tracks on the record constitute what feels like a recently rediscovered, unholy grail of edgy, atmospheric,
occult feminist goth emissions. Gwretsien’s dual-zither playing scatters melodic fragments and spirals of harmony
around the decimated space opened up by the lugubrious bass playing and pounding, brooding drum pads.
Coupled with the Welsh vocal, Tristwch y Fenywod embody a new, unique Celtic darkwave sound, equal parts
Pornography-era The Cure, Svitlana Nianio’s haunted hammered string-work and the dark beauty of Dead Can
Dance or This Mortal Coil. Opener Blodyn Gwyrdd feels like the last ride of Princess Ukok, with lumbering bass
and 6/8 rhythms in procession to the event horizon with an entreating, impassioned vocal and surprising lyrical
theme. The doomed dancing of the zither provides the mysterious melodic bedrock throughout the album,
particularly on Ferch Gyda’r Llygaid Du’s heavy funereal sway and the slowly building, paroxysmal banshee
breakdown of Awen: an astonishing swell of thrilling chaos.
The album was recorded and produced by Ross Halden and the band at Hohm Studio, Bradford, Summer 2023.

Swapping BPM for GPM (Goosebumps per minute), Dusky’s Life Signs Vol.3 is made from the heart to nourish the soul. to a long-overdue journey to the uncharted territories of Planet Dusky. Completing their triptych for Running Back with four tracks, one of the UK’s most dependable duos shows once again how to connect fun with functionality and funk with efficiency. From the jacking rhythms of early Chicago to the emotive qualities of Detroit and the fever pitch aesthetics of the UK sounds of the 90s or the studies of the contemporary scene, it includes the right choice for each taste and need. DJ Koze - The Love Truck
2025 repress
Tracklist
A. Pick Up (12" Extended Disco Version)
B. The Love Truck
DJ Koze might be one of the world's best producers, but above all he's a DJ, and it's his DJ ear that governs. Just as in a great set, so with his releases: "Seeing Aliens" came out of nowhere, a big buzzing beast of a track, to announce that Koze was back on the scene and prime everyone for the coming album, knock knock. But now that Koze has your attention, it's time to remind everyone what's most important about club music, pull things back, take a turn to the left, and get deep into the groove.
Thus "Pick Up": the second single from knock knock is 100% pure groove, doubly so in the extended 12" version. In a sense it's incredibly familiar - it is essentially a filter disco record, very close to something you could imagine coming out of Paris around the turn of the millennium. But of course, this is Koze. Nothing is normal or familiar in his world, and he's taken this most foundational of clubland staples into new territory. Flipping samples of Gladys Knight & the Pips "Neither One Of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)" and Melba Moore's "Pick Me Up, I'll Dance", it creates something completely airborne, shot through with emotions such as gods must feel: not quite explicable to the human mind but strong enough to knock you off your feet. In its way it's absolutely as powerful as "Seeing Aliens", but it comes in like the proverbial iron fist in a glove of velvet.
The flip, a ten-minute new track, "The Love Truck" is a big contrast again. If "Pick Up" is giddy flight, "The Love Truck" is woozy floating. Its sharp, clicking percussion recalls 2000s minimal techno, but this time absolutely nothing is generic. The long, intense, on-and-off bass tones, the flickers of birdsong, the pure voices slipping in backwards as if from the future... it's all like the most blissful dream, and culminates in a coda so subtle yet so beautiful it's like ever time you've ever seen the sun rise and thought "I never want this to end", all the while understanding deep down that the fleeting nature of the pleasure is also what give it its power. But of course, being created with that consummate DJ's ear, it's also full of the thrill of wondering what Koze has in store next.

Shortinfo:
Following their debut EP with "Ezra Was Right" and support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Grandbrothers are presenting their debut album "Dilation". Twelve modern Experimental / Ambient / Piano pieces, whose sounds are generated completely out of a grand piano using small electromagnetic hammers.
Grandbrothers are Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel. After meeting at university in Dusseldorf, Erol and Lukas formed Grandbrothers to tie together their respective musical backgrounds and disciplines: Erol is a trained jazz pianist, while by day Lukas constructs synthesizers at Access Music. Together, they create a sound that combines classical composition with modern, experimental production and sound design.
Their first song, 'Ezra Was Right', earned an early supporter in the esteemed Gilles Peterson, who included the track on his Bubblers 10 compilation and played it numerous times on his Worldwide radio show for BBC Radio 6 Music, with the song eventually being voted #7 by listeners in his end-of-year poll in 2013. A full EP on FILM followed - backed by remixes from legendary Manchester DJ Greg Wilson, Optimo's JD Twitch, and Kim Brown - which sold out its initial run within ten days.
Now, Grandbrothers present their debut album, Dilation. The product of two years work, Dilation builds on some of the ideas established on 'Ezra Was Right' while exploring further elements of minimalism, ambient music, IDM, and techno. Tracks start as repeated two or three note patterns, which gradually develop into sweeping, cinematic soundscapes, recalling the structural and rhythmic qualities club music as much as it does the work of a composer like Steve Reich, as well as Ryuichi Sakamoto's collaborations with Alva Noto.
Surprisingly, there are no synthetic sounds on Dilation: Erol and Lukas deliberately restrict themselves to the sounds of the grand piano across the album. "We wanted to make modern-sounding music using classical instruments," Lukas explains, "Instruments with a lot of history."
To achieve this modern sound, Lukas developed an unusual system for playing the piano. Drawing on his technical background, he created a series of electromechanical hammers that could be controlled via laptop (on software that he designed himself, no less) to 'play' the piano. This process allowed the duo to discover new, previously unknown sounds - sounds that couldn't be achieved through conventional playing - which give the record its unique sonic qualities.
"'Dilation' is a physical term for expansion and widening," Erol says, "We see the project as an experiment: how far you can go with a piano? How much you can get out of it, soundwise?"
With further manipulation using loops, effects, and amplification, Dilation is an album that covers an extraordinary range of sounds despite coming from such a small, unorthodox setup.
Classical, yet forward-thinking; expressive and emotional, yet with one foot on the dancefloor, Dilation is set to be an early highlight of 2015 and sure to put Grandbrothers on the radar for the future.

Shortinfo:
Much could be said about German house royalty Boris Dlugosch. From his teen DJ years under the wings of Front's legendary Klaus Stockhausen in Hamburg to his own marvelous tenure there that is pretty much synonymous with the explosion of Acid House in its proto- and post-incarnations. One could examine his role as a herald of US garage and Jersey house or as a remixer of underground gone pop records. But we will leave that and other stories for the Front page soon. The "Traveller EP" is the result of Dlugosch and Cassara meeting at a mutual friend of theirs, getting excited about their shared love for classic synths (see Sh-101 for the Traveller bass line) and exploiting the latter's extensive synth collection. What you get: classic disco, French house, electro-funk, DJ sound effects (that tractor plowed the Front EVERY night) and most of all fun, fun and a little bit of extra fun. Chin-stroking impossible.…

4. SHORT INFO:
The initial seed for this project was planted in 2020 when Nicolás Jaar wrote the song “Piedras” for a
concert at the Museum of Memory & Human Rights in Santiago, Chile, which commemorates the
victims of human rights violations during the military dictatorship led by Augusto Pinochet between
1973 and 1990. Between 2022-2023 it took on a new form as a radio play entitled 'Archivos de Radio
Piedras', which was shared on a dedicated Telegram channel. In 2024, the play was converted into a
24 channel installation at the University Museum of Mexico City (MUAC), where it was exhibited for 5
months.
Piedras 1 and 2 is a collection of the tracks featured within the play, all new music by Jaar, but partly
presented within the play as the music of Salinas Hasbún (the name a composite homage to Jaar's
grandmothers, Graciela Salinas and Miriam Hasbún).
The play follows two friends mourning the disappearance of Salinas Hasbún, a musician and writer
who vanished in the early 2020s. Although they live in a future where technology is advanced, they
resort to DIY radio methods because the anonymous group “Las 0cho” has launched a worldwide
attack on undersea internet cables, causing a global internet blackout.
The play's central theme revolves around the idea that truths, memories and identities speak from the
cracks (“rasgaduras”), or the "in-between" spaces ("en el entre"). This concept is supported by the
way much of the narration unfolds - in the liminal spaces between radio frequencies. The instability
and transitory nature of a constantly shifting radio dial becomes not just a metaphor but the structure
of the play itself. It’s in these moments of noise, static and interference that the deeper revelations of
the story emerge. This disjointed, ever-changing medium mirrors the way memory and trauma
operate within the play - non-linear, slipping through the gaps, found in fragments or ordinary
moments, rather than direct transmissions of “official” historical accounts.
This notion reaches its climax at the end of the narrative, when a text is discovered in which Salinas
speaks of finding a new number in a small pond in a cave mentioned in the first episodes of the radio
play. This pond, inside the “cochlea of the world”, is seen as a way to introduce real-life randomness
to computation. Embodied in the salt lakes of northern Chile, home to the world’s oldest bacteria, this
randomness disrupts the rigid order of binary code, paving the way for a transformation of digital life.
5. VITAL SALES POINTS:
