After S3A's "Deep Love" contribution last year we are stoked to present you this great collection of music! Coming from the French underground S3A aka Max Fader is absolutely no stranger to the scene. With releases on Local Talk, Quartet Series and his own "Sampling As An Art records" he is deeply rooted in House, Hip Hop, Disco, Soul and Funk serving residencies at Paris clubs "Concrete" and "REX" he has become a local favourite as well with his DJ and Live sets. We are more than excited to release this special debut album that showcases some older and recent work, with live acoustic songs from early 2017 recorded at the Paris "Red Bull Music" studios to new sample based House and Disco infused tracks in the signature "S3A" style we got to love so much in recent years.
"Fever", "Friends, "Joint No. 5" and "Greed" are all funk fuelled jams composed by Max, re-played and recorded again in several live jams with fellow musicians Nicolas Taite, Raphael Vallade and Pierre Vadon and edited in the studio by S3A afterwards, they breath this special Soul and Funk love Max got into by listening to "Masters at Work" and old Disco jams. The latter "Greed" has a special story, it is a cover of an early "Laurent Garnier" track that got reworked by "Avril" in the early 00's, here Max wanted to present his own Jazz and Funk perspective on that same track.
The club stompers "First Day With Lucien", "Lockwood", "Clarence J. Boddicker" and "Leaving 19th" are the true party business on this album and range from Deep House to more classic edit style Disco tracks with live improvisations played on top of them. This is what made us love the S3A sound from the start and it has that unique cut up sample work Max is best at.
"Interlude for Marc", "Obsession" and "Eaux Troubles" introduce a third vision of S3A's musical universe. Cinematic, emotional and with an much more old school "Trip Hop" approach to them, in some parts even referring to 80s "Italo / Cosmic" and early French funk. These are some of our personal favourites on the album, especially "Eaux Troubles" is a 6 minutes dramatic string filled trip that is just the perfect ending to a beautiful album journey.
As a vinyl only bonus Max also added a very personal Intro and outro that consists of field recordings from his trips abroad and kids Eva and Bastien accompanied by Rhodes and strings recorded during the above mentioned live sessions.

Our good Parisian friend Max Fader aka S3A is back on Local Talk with a diverse four track EP that delivers on all levels. It all begins with 'Premiere Rexidence', disco infected big room track that comes with some heavy vocal and horn samples. Next up is 'End Track For a DJ' which is exactly what the title suggest and comes with old school house beats, classic Chicago piano riffs and some lush strings. Massive! On the b-side S3A goes back to what he is maybe most know for, 'Searching Force' is an uplifting disco-funk house jam with big samples and jacked up beats. Last, and possibly our fave tune is 'Deep Mood Vol 4', a supa deep house cut with low end theory chords and a bassline to kill for...rawww! Oh, and those Michael Watford vocal samples just adds to the deepness.

Mountain Charr contains 3 tracks in completely different styles. 'Doop Doop' is definitely a sound of S3A, with characteristic vocal cut up by adding powerful horn section and melodic piano loop.

S3A, a fundamental player in the French house scene and resident at Paris' famous Concrete between 2012 and 2016 has been making serious waves with releases on labels such as Gerd's 4lux, Local Talk, Hold Youth, Lazare Hoche, Quintessentials, his very own Sampling As An Art records and in 2016 he debuted with his track "Antois Benime (Austral Parc)" on the second release of Quartet Series. This cut became a major summer hit, played by nearly every house music DJ, including Byron the Aquarius during his wicked set on the Boiler Room stage at Dekmantel in 2017. We decided this greatly deserved a follow up and we're proud to finally present Climax EP with S3A's signature sound written all over it....
Opening on the A side is "Presentiment", a collaboration with Mika Blaster. Starting off with majestic strings then suddenly dropping into a massive beat with haunting samples flourishing over the thriving percussion telling you to dance... THOU SHALT DANCE!! The second track "Something More" picks up where Antois Benime left off. A genius mix of uplifting samples and 909 percussion makes this another club ready weapon, bound to leave smiling faces on the dancefloor.
When flipping the record you'll dive into S3A's deepness with "Wu Impact". Soft and sweet Rhodes chords, an insanely groovy bass line with percussion and those mellifluous strings again. Finishing off the release is a deep slammer that goes by the name of "Influences", again a display of S3A's ability to use a wide array of elements within a single tune, molded together to one coherent, lovable and danceable piece. Boy did we wish we had the sampling skills of this master.
A must have record for any House Music lover. On y va!

„All The Colours“ was a concept that came about from Andy Ash bringing together his music and visual art in an attempt to try and identify the common ground between the two. In both mediums, Andy attempts to convey the full range of human identity – at first you see and hear euphoria and playfulness, but look a little closer and you will also notice anger, sadness and tension.
