London's Trelik returns to an artist perfectly in tune with the current stance of the British house and techno institution. OCH has been grafting in the European underground for more than ten years shaping out a truly formidable back catalogue. He first appeared on Trelik with Whalesong in 2011, while he's also contributed to Baby Ford's equally revered PAL SL label on more than one occasion. In addition, highly-regarded outposts such as All Inn, Systematic and Bass Culture have all given OCH the stamp of approval, while his own Autoreply label has continued to be a vital facet on the frontline of the scene. This latest three-track EP finds OCH on sublime form, working to a crisp, classic house template with the uncluttered precision one expects from a Trelik release. The title track struts proudly out in front with its hooky DX7 lead, while "More Journeys" builds up to a tougher, psychotropic blend. It's out of the shadows and into the light with the next release on Ornate music. In all honesty, it's like he never went away. We get three cuts of precision deepness. Lean, rather than minimal, these are fat-free, perfectly balanced excursions into the ethereal edges of house. Tight claps, subtle, eerie vocal samples that drift in and out of the mix, the mood is uplifting without any need for euphoric histrionics. London born D. Lean lives in the windswept Swedish countryside on the outskirts of Stockholm. His surroundings have a notable influence on the sound of the Autoreply Music boss. Expansive and absorbing techno with a nod to the classic sounds and techniques of the genre. After two excellent 10" singles and a remix of Ken Ishii and Romboy's single "Taiyo", Lean released an appetiser ahead of this double CD album of the same name, "Time Tourism. This long player is a classy, deep and delicate dark electronica album in the tradition of Detroit techno, which gets taken on a trippy, tracky and repetitive journey.

And this geographical circumstance seem to influence has sound because the label owner of Autoreply Music likes dark and Detroitish techno music a lot. After two highly anticipated 10" single and a remix of Ken Ishii and Romboy's single "Taiyo", Lean releases the forerunner track of his upcoming double CD album which has the same name "Time tourism", out in March 2016. The package comes around with three totally different versions: OCH's original in a techno influenced classical deep house coat, Baby Ford in a typical trippy and repetitive tracky way and Romboy shows us his groovier shades we know from his remixes for Terrence Parker on Planet e or his remix for Gorge on Freerange.

Newly established Berlin-based vinyl-only label Dreiklang dive straight into the physical world with First Contact. The label's distinctive triangular concept is reflected in its name with Dreiklang pursuing a three-fold approach to electronic music. Each release presents three contrasting takes on the same source material, juxtaposing and unifying three particular electronic music sub-currents. For their first outing, Dreiklang call upon an international team of producers with OCH, Hydergine and Kelovolt dropping in for their respective shots of tech-house, dub techno, and dark drone techno. The tight three-tracker will see the light of day on a 500 limited edition run of 180gr high-quality wax with the beautiful hand-drawn designs of Berlin artist Nils Altland gracing each sleeve, transforming the covers into individual works of arts. First up on Dreiklang001 is Londoner OCH (Autoreply / Stuga Musik), who takes a simple keyboard line into menacing territory, steering the dancefloor towards the grittier ends of tech-house. A funky bassline leads the way as distant synths exhale in glossy metalic fashion and the road is adequately paved for the reinterpretations that follow. Second up, comes Hydergine. The Italian producer lives up to his brain enhancement drug name by dropping a smart dub-techno rework where mind-numbing kicks bring the listener on an atmospheric joyride through the deeper ends of narcosis. Kelovolt complete the triangle with an immersive remix where drone-heavy soundscapes take center stage for a delicately hypnotic finale. First Contact is out December 16th on Dreiklang.

Autoreply boss Dicken Lean aka OCH returns to Sect, a UK label waddling in the dubbier end of techno. OCH first appeared on Sect in 2011 when the label released It's All For You, compilation, an extensive selection of deeper techno cuts from artists like Jeroen Search, Jolka, AnD and Fanon Flowers. OCH's track "Tears" made the cut, which reappears on his latest Surveillance Network missive, only having undergone a murky Skirt remix. "Linear Progression" sees OCH's love of tribal percussion thrown in among resonators and reverb, while "Up For Lost" features unusually suitable bongo drumming pitched against filtered saw waves that sweep across the tracks face. "Shattered Dreams" closes the EP with something Disney sounding, but given the cloudy Actress treatment.

The mighty Trelik label has long led the way when it comes to the best minimal in the underground and nothing about that changes with this new one from German pair Anro and Kuyateh. They collide their creative minds on four cuts starting with 'All We Have', which, like many of the sounds on this label, fizzes with a light synth touch while rolling on frictionless drums. "Overcome" and "Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)" need little introduction, and now come sporting the new TR11:11 matrix number. Written and produced by Thomas Melchior and Baby Ford aka Soul Capsule, these tracks came from one of the many sessions recorded at the West London Ifach Studio in 1999. On the A Side "Overcome" is stripped back and energetic, driven by rolling and shuffling garage style beats, tight bubbling bass and atmospheric synth pads. The intermittent vocal samples and the release's signature organ set you up for the flip, "Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)". Ion Ludwig has amassed an incredible back catalogue over more than a decade exploring the outer reaches of stripped down dancefloor aesthetics. Crucial releases on labels like Ugold Series, Be Chosen, Eklo and many more have all fed into his distinctive identity - a producer who packs a lot of subtle detail and emotionally gripping moods into predominantly minimal productions. In recent years, one of his closest partnerships has been with the iconic Trelik, and now building on the promise of two strong EPs comes a double pack brimming with the invention and flair that has typified Ludwig's unique appeal since the beginning.

Following on from Alex Celler's Haz / Pacificon single, Baby Ford's ever on-point Trelik label turns to Jonno & Tommo, a production duo with a rising profile in and around the London house music scene. This release for Trelik represents a creative high-point in their career thus far, hand picked by Ford to appear on his label following the inclusion of their 2013 track "Close The Door" on the recent Baby Ford - Fabric 85 mix CD. From the crisp, techy drums and head-spinning soul hook of "Love Songs" via the playful drum machine rub of "Bloc via Bow" and on to the smoother introspection of "Running Hammock", this release widens out the Jonno & Tommo sound into intriguing new pastures of house music

In classic Baby Ford style the A-side opens with "Mystery Falls" a deep melodic housey workout with shuffling percussion and sublime top line strings. Meanwhile on the B-side, shaker hustlin' "Spooked" conjures up a more stripped down moody grooving chordal affair. Both tracks cut at 45rpm for maximum quality and effect on the floor.

Baby Ford and Zip need little introduction and debut on Trelik as "BFZ" featuring co-conspiritor Thomas Melchior. The trio originally appeared on the 1999 "Perlondon" 12" for Perlon with Ford and Zip re-uniting for the "Glidin' Along The Riverbed" release then 2010's "Clean Hands" on PAL SL. Thomas Melchior recently appearing on [a:rpia:r] and his own Aspect Music kicks off the 12" with a floor friendly up-beat 9 minute "Melchior Productions LTD" edit remix of "Uff". An "Uffapella" closes the A-side featuring abstract sound design and textured vocals. Side-B's "So They Say" creates a feeling of space and unhurried rhythmatics whilst the title track "Uff" combines deep instrumentals, chord and haunting vox with subtle bass and modulating kick. Recorded in London and Berlin. Mastered at D & M.

London based house imprint Trelik presents OCH who under this anonym initially stepped up for PAL SL and has since bagged winners on Autoreply, Stuga Musik and soon SECT. With a compulsive passion for the dying art of crate-digging combined with a love for modern synthesis techniques he manages to put together a 12" that could easily be described as psychedelic Chicago. Whalesong is a pulsating floor work-out which references the US greats whilst building an emotive sub-aqua soundscape. Blind is The Wind follows with a sneaky chord driven spoken interlude which creates an air of tension before climaxing into Last Chance Saloon. This is deep yet driving showcasing haunting vocals with lush chords alongside the original principles of house music and plenty of bass. Mastered by Rashad at D & M.
