PASSION, is an audio depiction of the emotion, 'PASSION', as considered from the mind of Tevo Howard who has said, 'if PASSION were a Chicago House track'. His take is also a prediction of human beings in the next 300-500 years: after the world learns to not do irrational WAR and not kill, Howard says: an era of some 300 years of compassion will begin, and will be followed by at least one thousand years of atonement in the existence of the passionate human being as an era of mankind. LATE WORKING MAN as a B-side track is about being at the office late, and dancing very late at the disco.

Last year’s ‘The Age Of Compassion’ by Chicago underground house don Tevo Howard was one of the standout tracks for Buzzin’ Fly in 2011with widespread DJ and media support. It joined his burgeoning body of work on other acclaimed labels such as Rush Hour and his own Beautiful Granville. Now Tevo returns with his follow-up for Buzzin’ Fly. If ‘The Age Of Compassion’ was a simple and elegant dancefloor bump wrapped in warm analogue melancholia, then the ‘Monument EP’ is its nemesis - a stark future-retro reinterpretation of the origins of house music build from the bare components of machines: raw drums, sub bass, sine waves, square waves and oscillators. And yet there is still a burnished beauty to this EP. All three tracks seems to find echoes of each other in their arrangements and brittle harmony. Machine music for the modern age edged with passion and feeling, and another fresh step for its producer.

For Tevo Howard's first CD release we've married his two EP releases for HHYR: Crystal Republic from 2010 and the brand new Pandora's Box. Next to that two more tracks are added, 'Move' from 2009 as well as 'I Won't Lay Back', from Rick Poppa Howard's s/t EP of the same year. This makes up for a comprehensive compilation showing some of the best output from his recent catalogue. Though his tracks are heavily inspired on the early days, his productions sound very crisp and ‘today’. The 'Crystal Republic' tracks show his emotional and raw warehouse side, whereas on the 'Pandora's Box' tracks Tevo experiments with different rhythms and textures, which results in a varied set of tracks, from classic Chicago acid house to more Italo leanings. Tevo's music truly takes us back to the original vibe of Chicago house music, without getting too dusty. We love Tevo!

Mysterious Call Edan project on the slightly less mysterious Sounds Better Records label (at least we can say it's from Bristol) . 'Frome' that we got here, as you could hear if you pressed 'play' already is a take on Liz Torres' masterpiece that lived a great life in the 90s and got the resurrection after D'Julz re-released it on his Bass Culture Records. This one, it seems, balances between the original groove and all those 'Deep' and 'Get Down' editions perfectly. Not overloaded with stuff, it squeezes everything from its 126 BPM - almost impossible to listen to the end without moving. I tried. Both A and B-side openers here are slightly similar and could be described as the step on Cosmic Rhythm territory. Both of them got more or less the same pipey vibe, but 'La Riviera' has much more energetic beat structure inside (built around kick) while 'Protos' keeps pumping us with hats. The last one here - 'Gum' , with the most annoying moment on the preview cut (cuts just before the drop), probably will get even more people screaming and shouting, than any other track on this EP. Drop is working perfectly, be sure.

We are thrilled to announce our 5th vinyl VA. This time with only Belgian Underground artists. All friends and amigos who met each other during their journey in the Belgian music scene over the years.
A diverse ensemble spanning the House-spectrum, on the A-side we take a more deep and funky approach with UC Beatz bringing his known groovy flavours. Followed by Rawdio with some piano house vibes and bendrik keeping it fresh and crispy as always.
The B-side takes a more clubby turn with Deeleegenz dropping the snares and shuffled percussion in his Deep Jackin tune. Followed by Max Telaer who shows a darker side from himself with an absolute stomper that will set fire to the dancefloor.
