Following the release of his new collaborative album Tall Tales with Thom Yorke, a 2LP vinyl repress of Mark Pritchard’s previous solo album Under The Sun will be available on 25 July via Warp Records.

Originally released in 2016, Under The Sun is one story told in chapters and, as with any good story, the spell is only maintained if you don't skip to the end. Pritchard, as usual, defies easy categorisation and that is what gives depth and nuance to this work. He draws on the sounds and influences genetically coded in his musical DNA; ambient, nu-wave, avant-garde electronics and folk; but reimagines them through an otherworldly filter that cements Under The Sun somewhere in the future, rather than the past.

The album features contributions from peers and friends including Thom Yorke, Linda Perhacs, Bibio, and Beans, and explores themes of beauty, desolation, and longing for home.

Aside from a handful of tracks made available via his own website, Mark Pritchard hasn't released much in the last few years - though as this first EP as MP Productions shows, he's kept himself busy. More sharply club-focused than many of his albums, the six-track set sees him bounce between his melodious and summery take on early noughties eight-bar grime ('Be Like Water'), dreamy, high-tempo post-IDM lusciousness ('In My Heart'), next level lo-fi acid jack ('J Is For...'), child-scaring Drexciyan electro heaviness ('One Way Mirror') and an insanely percussion and bass-heavy take on gqom ('Rakatak'). The EP also includes his infamous and sough- after re-wire of LFO's 'LFO', here titled 'LFO Special', which re-imagines the bleep & Bass classic as a future dancehall anthem.

A remastered edition of the much loved 2006 Clark album Body Riddle. Now regarded as something of a classic in the Clark catalogue, it has been cited by producers including Arca, Rustie and Hudson Mohawke as being an influential record.

Writing for The Quietus back in 2014, Ed Gillett commented: "It's no hyperbole to say that Clark's 2006 LP Body Riddle is one of electronic music's unheralded masterpieces, its layers of heat-warped melodies, flickering textures and muscular drumming (played by Clark himself) creating a beautiful and unstable mixture of violence and wistfulness. Its production is immaculate, almost inhumanly so, swaddling the listener in midrange before pummelling them viciously, shifting seamlessly between organic instruments and impossible, vertiginous sound design."
