Two years have passed since 'Beyond Time' conquered the hearts of all the fellow space cadets from Ibiza to Frankfurt. Regardless of time and space, 'Electronica' is a worthy follow-up album. The album 'Electronica' by the professional chillers of Noom Café is ready to enchant the listener with its Balearic charm. And like the title track 'Electronica (La Droga)' already announces, no limits are known for the heady cosmos of electronic sounds. 12 tracks made their way onto the album, too many to highlight each one of them. Noom Café draw on unlimited resources of their fundus. Ambient tracks ('Polaris', 'Mother Earth') invite the listener to dream oneself to the most remote places of the universe. Reclined Broken Beats of the Viennese School ('On My Way') take on romantic Balearic synth tracks. Cinematic moments evoke reminiscences of foreign countries and undiscovered archipelagos. Here stories are told and associations are being played with. Songs like 'Atoll' and 'La Isla' set the course for an endless journey. But where does this journey lead? For Noom Café it is always a journey to one's self: The living utopia of a consciousness in harmony with the environment. Taken as a whole 'Electronica' represents a retrospective. It replaces genre boundaries with dazzling fusion. Each song participates to develop the foundation of a message that seems to stand above all: We are one. At the end of the album we finally celebrate the return from a long journey together with Noom Café and their friends. The bass drum moves to the fore again when the remixers take over to end the day with a boisterous celebration. And we are already looking forward to the next adventure.

Since the beginning of time we Humans have been using different methods of inducing altered, heightened or trance-like states. Like the native humans used rituals, drumming, dancing and chanting to get "into" an trance-like state.
Trances and altered states follow the pattern of a journey: departure, traveling through (inner worlds and dimensions) space, and then returning home.
In the classic shamanic journey traditions, rhythmic drumming, rattling or chanting is used to facilitate the entering into, traveling through and returning from the spirit world.

Another method in shamanic traditions worldwide involves psychoactive, visionary or entheogenic plants or mushrooms to provide an amplification of perception. In classic enteogenic plant ceremonies the ingestion of plant is usually combined with rhythmic drumming and chanting. By the use of hypnotic and deep dance music in combination with psychoactive substances brings in the shamanic journey into todays society.
The modern dance scene is the expression of the ritual that we human beings have done for thousands of years. This ritual is built into our DNA and we humans need to dance to be able to connect to our true self!

In modern dance/club culture the use of psychoactive substances is well known, but how to use them in a creative and uplifting way is not… For the one who is traveling deep within, set and setting are very important factors. A safe and friendly environment is crucial, without the "right" circumstances (set and setting) there is more room for negative energies to enter the experience.
To go deep within can take some effort. We need to let go of our preconceptions and roles we play in our daily life. This is where the hypnotic and psychedelic dance music come in (the ritual). The traveller is not bound by time and space or of personality or gender. We travel together to a place where there is no limitations. To a place where we are free. A place where we connect to something greater and open up ourself to healing and inner guidance.
These two tracks was created with this in mind.

"Lucy's Dream" is Ralf Hildenbeutel's first solo work since years. A cineastic sounding album like a soundtrack to a fictive movie with piano and string recordings. The album combines many influences. His second homebase Paris and his stayings in London are probably in a similar way influential such as his classical education and his colaborations with national and international artists. "Lucy's Dream" is kind of an essence from all of that, a filmmusic in his own style, even there's no movie yet. "Yet" because as the next step Ralf wants the album to be picturized by several directors.
The compositions are mostly a collection of piano-improvisations which have been worked out later on. Like this the composing itself could be kept intuitive which was a very important point to Ralf. The string arrangements followed afterwards and with samplelibrary on the computer he produced layouts. Afterwards, the stringrecordings were made. As all of the piano recordings were made in Ralf's own "Schallbau Studios" nearby Frankfurt some the strings were recorded in Spain and some of them in Frankfurt. Ralf could control the recordings live via internet.
Bringing and mixing together the string- and pianorecordings at he end of the production was a very special moment in the process of the album production. Ralf counts this album to one of his most important works so far.

For the cover art Ralf could gain the Austrian photographer Bernd Preiml. Preiml, international well established, is known for his mystical, sometimes abstractical and artistical photocompositions.

The follow up album from Cargo City aka Simon Konrad. In 2008 he released his acclaimed debut album including the two indie-pop hits "Ode to No One" and "When i Sleep I Disappear". Both songs did very well on radio. He had an endless number of live gigs and was finalist at the "Radio Award 2008" which took place at the Popkomm in Berlin. On his second album he combines his characteristic sound with new, rougher and more acoustic elements.

HEGEMUND is the name of the project-collaboration between Gottfried Tollmann & Ralf Hildenbeutel which started initially in 1994 in Los Angeles. The two musicians met working with the label Eye Q Records in Frankfurt where Hildenbeutel produced the albums of Sven Vaeth or his own project Earth Nation. Tollmann joined with releases like" Baked Beans" (with Helmut Zerlett & Nicolle Meyer) on Eye-Q's sublabel "Recycle or Die".
The two musicians found a common denominator in their love for modern art and master drawings as well as for Bach and the destructured electronic mind music of the 90'ies. In this spirit they released their first album called "TollmannHildenbeutel" in 1995. The music was conceived and recorded in Tollmann`s home town Los Angeles where the artists got stuck in their jeep in the national park of Yoshua Tree , CA, while filming the video "isn`t it a funny bird?" (1995) for the album recording ants in their hive.
It was obviously their sense of humour which made them survive a night in their 4wheel drive surrounded by rattlesnakes.
They had hunted & collected sounds of the southwest and the city and put it in the blender in Ralf`s studio in Frankfurt creating a vivid image of their Los Angeles impressions. The hybrid theory of the electronica and the grand piano, the detuned acoustic guitar, the cries of apes and hornbills.
after their adventures and fun Tollmann and Hildenbeutel decided to keep connected and started to randomly film and record sounds and noise in their newly found haven which should become their second home: Paris. Over a period of ten years they

What actually is Ralf Hildenbeutel, the Frankfurt/M and Paris based musician, doing inbetween his numerous projects such as recently the filmmusic to the cinema hit "Vincent will meer"? He composes and produces music for his rare artist albums. Two years after his last longplayer "Lucy's Dream" he releases his new soloalbum in November 2010. "Wunderland" ist the perfect accompanist for these kind of evenings when it gets earlier dark and chilling outside. Autumn, redwine, piano, strings, accordeon and many more... Ralf Hildenbeutel has produced the SVEN VATH albums on the legendary EYE Q label, played worldwide live with his electro-dance project EARTH NATION and released the award-winning soundtrack "Hommage á noir". However with numerous productions and remixes for artists such as LAITH AL-DEEN, ANNE CLARK, ROBERT PLAMER, YELLO and currently CARGO CITY the classical educated pianist shows his versatility and that he is since a long time not to accomplish just with electronic music anymore.

"DANCE/SLEEP" is the third album from the band from Frankfurt. The enormous development of the five-member band is clearly hearable. It is probably the most mature album so far. It's rougher and sometimes even darker, music-wise as well as the lyrics. Uptempo songs with drifty life-drums and deep synthie basses such as the title song "Dance/Sleep" and emotional ballads such as "The Choir" are cleverly combined and supplemented with grooving songs such as the duett "Let's Fail in Love" with the band's keyboard-player and singer Nadine Renneisen.

After the rocking, electric-sounding album "Dance/Sleep" (2011), Cargo City break down their common sound cosmos. They write over 30 new songs, based on acoustic guitar, drums and the two-part vocals from keyboardist Nadine and songwriter Simon. The bandleader says, everyone in the band couldn't wait to bring "more percussive elements and instrumental gimmickry" to the songs. This love of experimentation has been the initial spark for the fourth album "Talking To Myself", which will be released in March 2013. The songs are both melancholic monologues and casual odes to art, music and everyday life. The track "Thank You Jonathan" is a tribute to the American writer Jonathan Safran Foer ("Eating animals") who immediately gave thanks to the band via E-Mail. A tribute to music itself is the single "Me And My Headphones" which not only describes how Simon's connection to music has changed over the years, but also unites the old and new aesthetic virtues of the whole band. Percussions, plucked guitars and the empathic vocals, overlay a driving beat. In this point, Cargo City stay true to themselves, but still move on.
Furthermore, the movie as an art form, is still fascinating the five musicians from Frankfurt, and so they chipped in some songs for the new German movie "Bastard", which will be in German cinemas in April 2013.
Their experience and their sense of music have made Cargo City more than a regular German Indie band. They are little pop-geniuses, who can conjure big emotions, who have grown older but never grown up.

The composers Stevie B-Zet & Ralf Hildenbeutel have been the ideal partner for this Movie. They created a modern yet timeless, suspenseful yet sensitive filmmusic which had an implortant influence on the mood of the film.
The two musicians had an essential influence on the sound of the 90ies in the electronical-scene. They've been responsible fort he main productions on the legendary EYE-Q label, producing Sven Väth, Odyssee of Noises, Zyon, Cygnus X and many others. In this time they also remixed artists such as Robert Palmer, Jean Michel-Jarre, Yello and Enigma.
In the late 90ies they produced succesful artists such as Laith Al-Deen, Yvonne Catterfeld or Simon Collins. In the meantime they've always composed filmmusic such as the awarded movie "Hommage á Noir" (gold award on the Newy York Film Festivals) and the with the German Filmpreis awarded movie "Vincent will meer".
