Moon B takes it back to the old school that is PPU! Atlanta-based analogue funkateer Wes Gray made his debut proper as Moon B back in 2012 on People's Potential Unlimited, and has since found further acclaim with a killer EP for London label Going Good and releases as Vaib-R and Sean Sanders for Nous and Hot Mix. Andrew Morgan's PPU has always been something of a home base for Moon B material however, with several other cross format releases in recent times. The suitably titled II is the second Moon B long player and pulls eight tracks from the home studio recordings of Wes Gray made over the past few years with that signature "slank rhythms and cutting basslines you've grown accustomed to" present and correct!

Anything... A fitting title for such the sprawling melodic swamp of ideas, textures and tones that comprises the fifth album LA-based funkateer Wes Gray has released as Moon B. Landing in the same sumptuous zone as his records for PPU, Going Good and others, each cut could easily branch out into several as refrains and melodic tangents fly and whirl around a touchstone cosmic beat. From the lo-fi, sun-melted Betamax soul of "Punya" to the chewy gluey electro boogie of "Atmosfear" and the dense disco dynamics of "Ban Ki", Moon B's deep dream leftfield fusion keeps on ploughing into the electronic unknown where Anything goes.

L.A. based funkateer ''Moon B" is bringing his hazy cosmic funk-jams to the PULP imprint. Measure Pleasure is a slice of heavy synth laden otherworldly machine funk that's sure to evoky a vary of sentiments. With remixes by the Swede 'Golden Ivy' and briton ' Fudge Fingas' , the 5th installment of the PULP series is promising to be a melodious trip down funk avenue. The title track ''Measure Pleasure'' has that buldging funk bass lying underneath some spacey pads and a great rhythm track. Golden Ivy's version of the title track is emphasizing on the rhythm even more by adding bursting FX and obese kickdrums.
Moon B's Nada Clouds (A3) is a positive yet exotic journey which should be excellent for summer gig's on rooftops anywhere in the world. For the B1 Moon B continues with the percussion laden ''PV Hills'', this bit has those signature chord switches and vibe changes, that are creating a very melancholic atmosphere throughout. British master of all things melodic ''Fudge Fingas'' flips the original completely, making it more streamlined with just a hint more power.

Moon B - Moments In Slank (Exclusive Bonus Track)
Growing Bin Records is incredibly happy to bring you the vinyl edition of Moon B‘s Lifeworld - previously released on tape by the Vancouver based cassette label 1080p. Chopped, grainy subcontinental film aural motifs paired with other slankness on Moon B’s latest. After a brief pause since his PPU releases, Wes Gray returns with a remapped take on his distinctly dusty and groovy samplefocused synth funk. Gray has worked towards his particular sweet spot of retrofuturism, and Lifeworld’s segues between antiquity and contemporary g-funk benefit from extremely rich, filmic moods and a general knack for basking in warmth and sincerity rather than obscurity.

Moon B - Polywarp
Moon B's next mini-LP offering to PPU, entitled III, is a varied affair. The a side offers up the older taped track "Realms", a semi-muted yet chuggy number for the dance floor overwrought with moon-roasted synth progressions that coat the ears. "Neither Here Nor Where" is an ode to forgotten spaces and places, wrapped tightly in synth bazz and creamed pads that emanate from Moon's favorite synth, the Alpha Juno 1. Flip the record to find Moon's most "instro-spective" offerings to date. "Art Direction" bottomed out tempo conjures up images of 1984 Prince replacing Appalonia with Inga Copeland as his motorcycle passenger after a neon lit love-making session. "Moonda"'s slow fluctuation and linn drum echoes paired with sorrowful yet hopeful chords attempts to warm you in the coldest of polar vortices. "Polywarp" rounds out the affair with syruppy vacillating instrumentation paired with unforeseen wobbly bits and foreign percussive hits.
