After releasing in the past two years with several projects as Nightdrivers, Tru West and together with Ekkohaus, tireless dj and records collector homeboy Rufus finally strikes back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with his first solo ep since 5 years named “Black & Blues” , a 4 tracker vinyl of moody, sampladelic mpc styled and lunar deep house. The record starts with the dark and mysterious funkiness of Blue&Black, an intricate but fluid dialogue between a carillon, jackin percussions, guitars accents, background voices and a dramatic strings theme which are playing together and rolling all over an irresistible swinging groove. Next is “Sad Eyes” a romantic, bit melancholic, deep but punchy house track enriched by afro latin percussive elements, striking 909 beats and catchy brasilian jazzy vibraphone riffs. On the first cut of the flipside instead you will find the sunrise-discoish-banger called “Cosmic Echoes”, a raw but excellent work of 70s jazzfunk cut up samples and hooks embedded into a triumphal oldschool house groove, while on the second cut, the ep ends with the dubby afterhour styled, quirky, smooth, bubbly, trippy beat of “Cruisin”. Bosconi Records Presents Datafreq’s Electrifying EP: “Circuit Garden” Toronto’s electronic music scene luminary, Dave Rout, known as Datafreq, is set to unveil his EP titled “Circuit Garden” on Bosconi Records. With a musical journey as Datafreq spanning 2 decades, and a continuous presence since the mid-80s, he has become a cornerstone in the electronic music scene in Toronto. “Circuit Garden” is a six-track collection that pays homage to Datafreq’s distinctive blend of video game music and electro sounds. A true sonic pioneer, he brings forth his unique musicality that has resonated since he started the project in 2004. This EP features select tracks from his debut album, “Fun for the Whole Family,” originally released in 2006 on the esteemed Berlin label Das Drehmoment. Notably, these tracks, (never before available on vinyl with the exception of “Just Like 1981”), have been reimagined with slight remixing, editing, and remastering to seamlessly align with the vinyl format. Two brand-new tracks make their debut on this release, adding an extra layer of exclusivity and elevating the EP to a truly special status. The unmistakable “Datafreq” sound is prevalent throughout the EP, characterized by eclectic electro techno and vocodered tunes. The first track is a mesmerizing progressive house tune with a future retro hi nrg bass line and a hypnotic dreamy arpeggio worth of the early 90’s italo techno & house heritage, in the style of artists like Mystic Force, still with a contemporary attitude both in the house groove and in the sound choice, truly uplifting! “Trail Of Bones” is a badass ravey jam with a crazy and prominent fat bass line going all along the track, inspired by some old school acid trance aesthetics with a funkier feeling
On the flip side “Nove Code di Cristallo Grigio” sounds like an intergalactic trip to some other techno galaxies lead by uncoordinated synthetic structures. “Gattonero” closes the ep with its quirky mood, essential and with a bouncy groove that makes it a super efficient tool for the floor.

A long and awaited return to todays scene is that of Gareth Oxby, a very active producer since the 90s with numerous Techno, House and Breaks projects among which the prodigious UK label Alien Funk Movement stands out; of which he is the renowned father and founder. Bosconi is proud to include this eclectic and talented producer in its stable through one of his most sought-after aliases, "4th Planet Side Steppers". The EP, titled "Warning", celebrates the UK sound of those early years of which he was one of the greatest exponents and pioneers and which is coming back to prominence today: the foundation of the Tech-House sound, a kind of hybrid dense with spatial and futuristic sounds where electro, dub and breakbeat that merge into the 4/4 rhythm creating a unique and incomparable blend. It starts with the homonymous "Warning" track, where sharp drum sounds support a galaxy of alien bleeps and textures, transporting you into a pacific trance state, a maze-like and hypnotic dimension that is perfect for late night hours or morning awakenings. The second cut of A side brings a previously released track on Gareth’s own AFM label which has been for long time our secret DJ weapon named "Anti-Matter", a funky, rolling, ultra-groovy monster track; an absolute Tech House killer tune with straight and unmistakeable effects on every dance floor we have played. With no need for further introduction, the legendary Cleveland and now Berlin based producer Dan Curtin lands on Fabio Della Torre’s Tuscan label Bosconi with 2 previously unreleased gems from his 90’s DAT archive. The release is further enriched by Curtin's very first live rework of one of the tunes. After Releasing on such labels as Headspace, 7th Sign, and Sublime and with the recent repress of his historic Silicon Dawn album on Peacefrog including the supremely modern Population 2, here comes the previously unreleased Population III which moves even more forward into the outer realms of space and time. On the long side the farsighted and futuristic Metamorphic label boss delivers this marvelous continuation of the previous version taking it more into straight forward techno and even further into deep minded synth experimentation and acid bleeping. On the Flip we have a modern live rework of Population III which Dan has been playing around the world in his current live set. The live version goes a bit more into electroid landscapes but still maintains a straight groove for electro and techno purists most playful moments. The third cut is the epic acid banger and previously unreleased Redshift, showing already at those times that Dan Curtin was defying conventions and pushing boundaries and pioneering what we can now consider modern dance music while displaying melting innovation and deeply felt emotional content at the same time.

After many years of studying in consevatory of electronic music and improving his already exceptional skills within music production and composition, between a freaked out IDMish album on his own Wo Land label, releases with Herva on Kontra Musik, Marmo Music with the Tru West- The Leftovers projects and the Nightdrivers records with Rufus, the prodigal son is finally back with an edgy four tracker of pure anti-romanticism named “Ears In My Eyes”: the record starts with the perlonish, groovy and funky minimal house jam of Marmeria Mornings feat Vash (collaborator at Marmeria Studios in Genova and well known synth repairer in Italy), while on the second cut there are the sexy, electroish and ultra catchy SH101 bass line riffs of the title track “Ears In My Eyes”. On the flip side instead let’s get back to some swinging beats with the trippy and mysterious atmospheres of “Marmeria Nights” while on the final cut more electro with another flying, rough and subliminal machine funk winner to close up this release called “Aria Fredda”. After “Theory Of Strings (part1)” Ennio Colaci and Fabio Della Torre present the second part! The first track of A-side is the one who gives the title to the whole project, " Theory Of Strings", a dubby groover with a funky and psychedelic feel in the vein of a more coloured and dirtier Studio 1 or Soundhack. The "Feeling good vibe" keeps going relaxed and chill with the smart up and down mood of the track "Forty Degrees" while on B side Minimono get drier, minimalistic and more mysterious with the subtle after-hour jam of Rewind. This strong effort by Fabio and Ennio ends trough the cinematic atmosphere and the romantic piano notes of the gentle but raw closing act "Still Mine". Mind the Strings!

Six years after his Mila Ep, uk techno artist Lee Renance, better known as 100hz with James Chapman, is finally back on Bosconi with another strong 3 tracker release called "Circles", a combination of very sought-after gems and reworks of old tunes: the record begins with the gentleness of the groovy and jazzy vibe of that mega rare undergound deep anthem named "Shoot The Bar", a track originally out in 1998 on Pacific Records which many people have been probably waiting since long time for a repress, while on B side the artist presents himself under one of his more obscure aliases as Mr Format, going trough more voodooish and hypnotic dub techno territories with a pitched down version of Primary Colours track, an undiscovered and carefully crafted secret weapon previously released on his own imprint Format Records. Last cut of the record is a totally renovated version of the track Oliva out in 2009 on the greatest french Logistic Records.
