With its lush live string and horn section, Can’t Stop Loving You when originally released in 1990 was an immediate favorite in the UK, and represented famed House Producer Marshall Jefferson’s movement toward utilizing live instrumentation in his productions. The track was released right around the time the Kiss FM London launched as a legal radio station, and Richard was support talent at the radio station launch party in Hyde Park London that was headlined by fellow Chicagoans Ten City. The track also represented one of the last releases on the relaunched Sam Records imprint, before Michael Weiss ceased releasing new titles on Sam and started Nervous Records. Krystal Klear has shown a unique ability to recognize sonic elements trends from past eras, and re-shape them to work for today’s club crowds. With his two versions, he has done a masterful job remixing this early 90’s dance classic.

Let’s Do It by Convertion was originally released in 1981 on Sam Records, and featured production by Greg Carmichael and vocals by Leroy Burgess. Upon release this song immediately went into heavy rotation for Larry Levan at The Paradise Garage and for Frankie Crocker, then the number one rated disco jockey on New York City’s number 1 ranked radio station WBLS. Over the years it has become a staple of classic disco playlists worldwide. Now remixed as a peak hour tune for today’s dancefloor, this 12” release includes two mixes produced by Dec Lennon p/k/a/ Krystal Klear. A Dublin native and Red Bull Music Academy alumni, Klear has made a steady rise to become one of the freshest new faces in music that both has the chops to destroy underground dance floors with his deep crate of records or spin out polished productions in the studio with legends like Nile Rodgers.

Recorded around 1978 is this wonderful slice of Seattle soul by the group Poppeye.

"Never Gonna Give You Up" is all set and ready like a loaded gun for the dancefloor. It's on that right side of feeling good soul music without being too disco or too cheesy. Lovely synths get it all up and running but its the light and airy guitar rhythm backed with stabbing horns and the group's harmonies that keep it all together , with James Clifford's vocals floating long like a Mac Davis "Im In Love" outtake. Wonderful stuff!

"Be Mine Baby". is like yacht rock on the next level. Rasping echo guitar riffs and a head nodding baseline kick it all off. The tightness of the horns by these well accomplished musicians is all here. Dont really know what to say other than its KILLER!

Previously unissued from 1978 this is the follow up release to the very successful "Those Passing Words" single The Ellis Hall Group.

"Music, Sweet Music" sounds like a perfect little song with lovely summer vibes, a bit of vocal scatting and lovely organ licks from the multi talented Ellis Hall.

We love the feel of this one that sounds like The Crusaders/Blackbyrds, and Stevie Wonder rolled into 2:38 of soulful pleasure.

Flip it over and "Forward Motion" kicks off with some pretty generic 70's horn play, boom, rasping drums and melodies kick in with some fun interplay between Ellis , Patty Unitas and Pat Thomas on the background vox.

The Demon Singles Club series continues to offer-up classic disco and boogie cuts on 7" singles. For the series' latest release, they've once again mined the vaults of the iconic SAM Records imprint, emerging with the 1980 debut single from Glen Adams Affair. A-side 'Just A Groove' is a genuine boogie-era disco classic - a Clavinet heavy, B-boy and B-girl friendly workout rich in rubbery disco bass, sustained piano motifs, crunchy drums and a typically celebratory lead vocal, whose lyrics extol the joys of a 'groove to make you move'. Over on the flip side you'll find original B-side 'We've Got To Make It', a pleasingly up-tempo, flash-fried disco-funk floor filler that makes great use of heady slap bass and spacey synths.
