Richard Rogers' Black Booby re-edits return with BB07, which sees Chi-town original and Ron Hardy protégé Gene Hunt -a Black Booby veteran from BB04 - digging out more vintage DAT dopeness on the double-A-side; which features raw-as-hell analogue house workout '1015'(a take on the Dion & Tony track from his 'Chicago Dance Tracks' collection on Rush Hour back in 2011) alongside the very aptly-named (and appropriately drum-fuelled) 'Dr Roland'. Meanwhile on the B-side you'll hear UK house music OG Terry Farley sharing production duties with another 90s house veteran, Stuart 'Stretch' Silvester. Gene Hunt is a prolific producer with an un-mistakable sound of his own. And although an originator of the acid house sound from Chicago, he certainly didn't stop there. His music has naturally evolved over the years, often incorporating more mature melody and rhythm structures, but always in time with a proper underground style dance track. Aural architect Skygaze follows his 2022 ‘Astral Trip EP’ for Flumo Recordings, offering an advanced fusion of house, broken boogie, and future jazz, with five brand new reinterpretations from the extended Flumo family.

Skygaze’s diverse sound, breaking down barriers between house and techno, broken beat, jazz, ambient, hip hop, jungle, and even esoteric IDM, has been showcased across a growing catalogue of releases across Guayaba records, Riverette, Flumo and Thirty Three Circular, and remixes for Ed is Dead and Contours & Yadava; earning the producer support from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Simbad, k15, Bandcamp’s Andrew Jervis, and Gilles Peterson.

Architect by day and musician by night, Jaime Tellado picks up as Skygaze, and returns to the fold of Flumo Recordings with his brand new 12”, the ‘Astral Trip’ EP; combining his knowledge of architecture with a love for sound to construct and merge acid house, broken beat and atmospheric melodicism.

The 'Astral Trip' EP follows releases on Guayaba records, Riverette and Thirty Three Circular. And remixes for Ed is Dead and Contours & Yadava, earning support/plaudits from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Simbad, k15, Andrew Jervis, Gilles Peterson, amongst others.

The common denominator throughout the release is the balance and combination of various elements, exploring a multifaceted contemporary dance sound whilst paying homage to the foundations of the sounds that we listen to today.

‘Minor Mood’ pays tribute to Chicago and Detroit with its high paced house rhythm, acid synths, and piano lines, whilst ‘City Cathedratics’ slows the tempo down to lay the groundwork for a dreamy synth-laden soundscape.

Whilst the majority of the project is a solo exploration in dance music and its multi-layered context and history, the contributions of vocalist Ruben Ondina lift the high-paced, synth house grooves of ‘Gimme Five’ to another level. Meanwhile, the broken beat influence of London is keenly felt on ‘Nigh Heat’ and ‘Wagwan’, their rhythms emphasised further by harmonic and melodic exploration via atmospheric synths, melodic improvisation and irresistible synth bass lines.

Skygaze reconstructs the rhythms and synths into his own fresh and unique package to paint a picture of spiritual wonder, richness and excitement. More

Gari Romalis keeps on surprising us all, with his amazing ability to produce solid Chicago laced beats, full of groove and brimming with soul. So far his music has been released on some highly respected underground imprints, such as Rawax, Rue De Plaisance and Bosconi Records amongst a long list of others We couldn't be happier to have Gari joining us on our vinyl catalogue, plus, along side him for remix duties, Esteban Adame, half of the renowned Los Hermanos. Esteban is a key member on the UR crew and has been also releasing incredible music on labels such as Underground Quality, or his own Ican Productions, which he runs in collaboration with Santiago Salazar. The release Features 2 originals that incorporatesthe emotive and deep vocals of Terence McKenna and is packed full off 303 beats, ready to do the work on the dance floor. Side A of this double sider comes in the form of 'Neurotransmitters Communication', a 9 minute roller which blends heavy bass beats and piercing vocals into on ocean of squelching undertows. Chocky's production shows the listener that with modern dance music less is some times more... Sophistication does not come from complexity here, but rather from that unreachable art resulting from eliminating all the superfluous, so the clean soul alone emanates from these two tracks.

Flumo Recordings restarts the Flumo Limited series after a year's break, releasing Flumo Limited 003 on both vinyl and digital formats. And this time, under the supervision of one of Europe's most important producers, Finn, Tuomas Salmela, also known as Phonogenic. Phonogenic, who already has more than 30 releases nn labels as prestigious as 20:20 Vision, Turbo, Moodmusic and Guidance, picks up the torch from Dixie Yure in the third delivery of the Flumo Limited series. The 12" is comprised of two tracks, an original from Phonogenic and a remix from one of the Spain's most renowned artists, El Txef A. The title track, Tulio, has an hypnotic beauty, and demonstrates in its eight minutes all the skills of our Finnish man: constant groove, exquisite aquatic me- lodies, and a taste for expansive modulation; creating epic from beginning to end. That epic, in the hands of El Txef A, takes an unexpec- ted turn towards gloomier realms. Far from his deli- cate compositions, the Basque producer transforms Tulio into a double odyssey: commencing his version with a dubbed atmosphere, gradually developing into a funk-flavoured, tech house orgy. A perfect, peakti- me track for DJs. On, Super Sagan, the last track on the 12", Phonoge- nic builds a piece of mutant house around a subtle melody, with resonant, omnipresent effect.
