Art Department's Jonny White is set to storm the underground again with the launch of two new vinyl-only imprints as we close out what has already been a monumental year for his first born - No.19 Music. The first up is Social Experiment. A name taken from White’s internationally acclaimed series of label showcases that have been an essential brand of events at top clubs and music festivals the world over. From instalments in Panorama Bar-Berlin and Fabric-London to DC10-Ibiza, these events have set the tone for the new label-project and sound that white plans to concentrate his latest efforts on. The unreleased catalogue promises to focus on a raw, dubby industrial and brooding techno, a direction that has been transparent at Art Department shows as of late with much of the early material being present in his sets. The first release sees none other than Strength Music's DJ Qu deliver 3 rugged cuts of sub-terain, dancefloor heat to represent the musical direction and ethos for the new label with the appropriately titled Social
Experiment EP.
