Four Tet's Kieran Hebden and legendary New York jazz drummer Steve Reid recorded two albums together in 2007 and 2008, and 'Live At The South Bank' posthumously following Reid's death in 2011. At some point they recorded a version of Rhythm Is Rhythm's Detroit techno classic 'Strings Of Life' as a live, freeform jazz epic. The cover was first heard on a Reid tribute podcast hosted by Gilles Peterson, and is now released as a limited vinyl pressing on Hebden's Text imprint (525 copies only). The 12" comes in comes in a hand made letter press sleeve designed and printed by Marta Dos Santos. All proceeds from the sale of the 12" will go to the Steve Reid Foundation. More
