Recording artists Jimi Tenor & Nicole Willis, husband and wife team whom together brought you Call of the Wild on Tenor's Out Of Nowhere, (Warp, 2000), Feeling Free on Willis' Keep Reachin' Up, (Timmion Records, 2005), release their follow up album of project COLA&JIMMU, to album Enigmatic, (Herakles Records, 2013). The album is featuring their production as well as compositions. With instrumentations by Tenor and beats procured from the vintage gear of Jori Hulkkonen in his Turku studio, Alppihouz by Willis, the album has a warm feeling and yet sufficiently exciting for the electronic house heads. There are plenty of string pads, flutes and flute pads, etc to prick up your ears. COLA&JIMMU once again capture the genuine, old school sound. More

Jimi Tenor and Nicole Willis´ sublime Herakles label returns with "Haunted by Hallucinations" , the new Bandproject from Petri Tokkannenm mastermind of the fabolous finish "Soul Investigators" group.
Guitarist Petri Toikkanen, who graces the liner notes of nearly all the Soul Investigators ("Home Cooking", "Keep Reachin' Up") releases, as one of the formidable composers of the musical group, makes the debut on this self titled new band´s album.
The group was founded by Toikkanen and drummer Laura Könönen as they composed their songs through hypnotic jam sessions, with bass player, Jussi Oskari. Jussi Oskari is best known for his contribution to the project, Tuvalu, a progressive rock ensemble.
The genre that sets the tone for Haunted by Hallucinations is the psychedelic cousin to that of post metal and post rock/doom. Toikkanen cites Pink Floyd, Venom, Uriah Heep, and Dio as his childhood staples. While direct influences are denied, Haunted By Hallucinations might sit well next to Earth and Goblin. That the phasers and flangers of stoner doom would be replaced with heavy doses of delay on Toikkanen's personal genre of neo - psychedelia. Toikkanen's playing has textures of surf, harking the legend of surf, Dick Dale, together with a prototype of Rock & Roll. Toikkanen's main instrument is a Fender Jazzmaster. Oskari also plays Moog Taurus bass pedal synthesizer. Laura Könönen is also a visual artist, whose main medium is sculpture, has supplied the LP cover artwork with one of her paintings and drawings.
The album is produced by Jimi Tenor & Nicole Willis.

Recording artists Jimi Tenor & Nicole Willis who are life partners as well as past collaborators, reunite for their new project, artist name Cola&Jimmu, "Cola", a kind of pseudonym of Nicole and "Jimmu", associated with the legend of the first emperor of Japan, Jimnu Tenno.
Both Tenor and Willis have fronted their own projects over the past decade, Willis most recently working with Helsinki - based group the Soul Investigators, for their albums Tortured Soul & Keep Reachin' Up, Timmion Records 2005, 2013. The Helsinki Sanomat recently called Willis & the Soul Investigators "the world's best on the stage of Tavastia". The title track of Keep Reachin' Up was chosen in February 2012 for POTUS, Barack Obama's Re - Election Spotify Playlist. Tenor also contributed horn arrangements to the 2 albums in the collaborative effort of Willis & the Soul Investigators. Tenor & Willis also wrote and recorded tracks from release of Tenor's Call Of The Wild, from the LP Out Of Nowhere, Warp Records 2000. As of late, Jimi Tenor collaborated with Tony Allen for their LP on Strut Records 2009, Inspiration Information, eclectic "outsider" Itetune on Temmi Kongi 2011, with Abdissa Assefa, & the self titled Soft Focus with Lary 7 on Tommi Grönlund's Puu/Sähko Recordings 2013.

Cola&Jimmu revisit 1990 house, which bares so many monikers. Cola & Jimmu title it "deep house revival", drawing influences from Bobby Konders releases on NuGroove to Yellow Magic Orchestra's Firecracker, with vocal styles comparable to Gwen Guthrie & CeCe Peniston. That being said, the tracks are original and include some strong instrumentation, with Tenor's saxophone, flute, and serious drum programming. Willis offers vocals and production savvy, as well as additional chords. Tracks like 369º Grind simmer, and act as the diving board into the body of work that is Enigmatic, 10 tracks.
