Next up on Ellum witnesses the salubrious Dino Lenny delivers a double-header of epic proportions on his ‘It’s Saturday’ single. The A Side ‘It’s Saturday’ is a heavy as hell piece of colossal techno loaded with a kick like a mule and enigmatic vocals to boot. On the flip and we are indulged with another hefty affair ‘I Am Changing’, with another vocal led jacking heavy hitter with vocals courtesy of Dino again. Serious stuff for discerning dance floors, speakers beware! Dino has been making music for since the late 90’s having remixed everyone from Madonna to Underworld, and have been championed by everyone from Peter Tong, The Chemical Brothers and Maceo Plex. Danny Daze is back on Ellum with another killer single, ‘Flange’. A monster of an EP that is perfect for Summer Madness! The A Side feature the original version of ‘Flange’, an unadulterated slice of storming techno complete with dissident car engines screaming in and out of the mix, heady stuff. On the flip and Danny delivers a sparse jacking dub version of ‘Flange’. Finally the EP is rounded off with the effervescent transcendentalness of Ritmo, another great release from Ellum Resident of Miami, Danny has been going from strength to strength, with previous releases on Nervous, Hot Creations, Ellum, and his recent single on Jimmy Edgars’ Ultramajic label and Pet Recordings, Danny is at the top of his game. With a packed tour schedule and more productions in the pipeline, and recent remixes of Gui Borratto and Murk expect big things form this.
