Danny Daze is back on Ellum with another killer single, ‘Flange’. A monster of an EP that is perfect for Summer Madness! The A Side feature the original version of ‘Flange’, an unadulterated slice of storming techno complete with dissident car engines screaming in and out of the mix, heady stuff. On the flip and Danny delivers a sparse jacking dub version of ‘Flange’. Finally the EP is rounded off with the effervescent transcendentalness of Ritmo, another great release from Ellum Resident of Miami, Danny has been going from strength to strength, with previous releases on Nervous, Hot Creations, Ellum, and his recent single on Jimmy Edgars’ Ultramajic label and Pet Recordings, Danny is at the top of his game. With a packed tour schedule and more productions in the pipeline, and recent remixes of Gui Borratto and Murk expect big things form this.

Danny Daze - El Cubano
Moustache Records 039 is made by a Moustache brother from the first hour "El Cubano" Danny Daze. This obscure techno acid electro EP contains 4 dark Club bangers for the floor. A1 Trumpet track ft. Johnny Superglu is the EP action starter. Crazy Loud Kick drums, a distorted trumpet played by the notorious Johnny Superglu on Acid. Retard synths, a dark vocoder shout and topped off with razor sharp snares. A2 track is called "Late night snack" a song about a boy on its way to the nightstore to get a coca cola. There he lost his way on LSD around the corner of his own house, a pure club banger with weird kiddo lunatic samples. B1 "Wandering aimlessly in NY for 4 hours" 4x4 monotonous building up acid tune. Do you remember that waiting before that new space journey? B2 is the EP tittle track "El Cubano" pure raw oldskool bunker strobo acid with robot vocoder voices and rolling drum section. Mentalism is not a crime

danny daze - Machine
Debuting on Kompakt with a masterfully twisted remix of Gui Boratto's "Take Control" (KOMPAKT 302) in 2014, Miami-based DJ/Producer DANNY DAZE had already made himself a name with outings on tastemaking labels like Ultramajic Miami's very own Omnidisc, Cómeme or Phantasy - but it was the raw and muscular SPEICHER 80 that really opened up our receptors. Danny's recipe for bendy, electro-infused techno turned out to be insanely catchy and ripe with bass, a bold, futuristic and funky vision for the dancing floor that finds a brilliant follow-up in his latest outing: two new exercises in off-the-cuff mayhem grace SPEICHER 91, with face-melting uber-jam SWIM kicking off a weird and wonderful parade of synth riffs, belting beats and pure arpeggio anarchy - while the flipside is held hostage by the razor-sharp, robotic funk of MACHINE, Danny's second collaboration with TRANSLUCENT for Speicher after the hard-hitting "Speaker Language"

danny daze - Freeze
2
danny daze - Speaker Language
A DJ since 1999, DANNY DAZE would be performing weddings at 14 years old, financing his growing vinyl habit with the hard-earned money. Influenced by booming Miami bass, tracksuit booty beats, sizzling electro and futuristic techno, he started gearing up to producing his own tunes - leading to sought-after outings on highly respected labels like Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio, Jimmy Edgar's Ultramajic or UK-based tastemaker pool Hot Creations. It's with the latter that he landed his probably biggest hit so far, the neon-lit, shockingly catchy "Your Everything", recognized by Michael Mayer as a "rough und muscular sound" that fits in perfectly with the Speicher series. Getting right down to business, FREEZE proves to be an immensely bendy, yet vigorous floor charmer that deliberately lets its propulsive rhythm patterns overgrow with swelling pads and epic synths. What's most striking here is the refreshing ease and stylistic versatility that DANNY DAZE brings to the production table, drawing from a rich background in bass-heavy sonics and blending its varying intensities with surprising facility. A true dance chameleon and champion of all things sweaty, Danny ventures further into La la land with SPEAKER LANGUAGE, a ridiculously infectious groove setting the scene for TRANSLUSCENT's empowering vocal interjections. Together, these cuts make for a hell of a ride, two heat-seeking missiles on their way to the center of the dance floor.

Jimmy Edgar’s blossoming Ultramajic imprint gets off to a typically brazen start in 2014 with an EP of fiercely visceral club music from US born, Berlin-based producer Danny Daze. A self-confessed lover of classic electro, the 3 tracks present contain the mechanical aesthetics and skewed sonics of the labels he holds close to heart, whilst packing an undeniable punch that will see these drawn for time and time again. Released on 12” vinyl and digital, Daze is the first in a whole slew of acts to be welcomed onto the roster over the course of the year, and marks another exciting chapter for the burgeoning label.

Danny Daze, - The Calm
Following his bomb ‘Booty Jazz’ EP released under the Jupiter Jazz moniker alongside label boss Maceo Plex, Miami’s finest Danny Daze goes solo to release ‘The Calm’ – two original cuts of deep dark house with a stellar remix from Dutch producer Dexter. Title track ‘The Calm’ opens with a deep pulsating heart, beating and building as sweeping waves of trippy FX roll in and out with doubled up and slightly deranged vocals dominating the atmosphere. Swelling steadily with powerful synth lines and rhythm the track drops dramatically, kicking into a tight rolling groove that rides through the depth and layers. Picking up the pace class-A producer and remixer Dexter takes the reins to spin his techno twist onto ‘The Calm’. Making music since the mid 90s and with huge releases on the likes on Rush Hour and Clone, the Dutchman is a welcome addition to the Ellum Audio catalogue. Thriving with drive and energy his remix is an essential DJ weapon for any peak time affair. Rounding off the package ‘I See You There’ is the second original track on offer from Mr. Daze. Continuing in the same vein as ‘The Calm’ the track builds moodily with epic synths, industrial stabs and haunting vocals. Taking a turn it drops into a powerful dance floor bomb with deep, warm keys that beautifully carry the melody.Already flying high in the game and with a hectic tour schedule lined up and a Radio 1 Essential Mix in the pipeline for this summer. 2013 looks set to be a big one for wonder boy Danny Daze.
