Cole Medina turns up the disco heat in this latest release from FBNM, kicking things off with Tropical Funk, a pumped up instrumental disco odyssey ala Mike Theodore's Cosmic Wind. Fused with a sequenced bass groove and littered with funky percussive rhythms, brass flutters and stabs, he successfully paints a modern portrait of some classic moon boogie! Bristolian newcomer Admin nudges up the pitch fader on his Tropical Funk remix edging the track further into house territory. Heading up the B side is Make Your Body Move, an up tempo electro boogie track reminiscent of the best Midnight Star, Complete with a vocoded chorus and male/female vocal trades! With early support from some of the edit scenes biggest players already, this plodding beast will not fail to do as intended! Finally Cole brings us the soundtrack to the baddest bank heist that ever went down, the big one, the Grand Union Depository! Taking his samples from some rather obscure late 70s cosmic disco (clues to the track have already been mentioned), he works some real magic transforming them into Big Pimpin', a heavy hitting slow mo funk groove ready to make you feel just like the meanest son of a gun that you really are...
