Returning to his home base, Rotterdam based electro-techno mainstay Conforce presents a heavy pack of angular, experimental approaches on his latest offering into the Delsin databank. Boris Bunnik's accomplished machine language has traversed deep and dubby soundscapes with punchy, club-focused fare alike, since 2010's Grace EP he has found a regular home on Delsin and it's always exciting to see what he comes up with next. Where Conforce has commonly housed Bunnik's more melancholic, introspective work, the sound palette on Sins Of Synthesis is more tipped towards darker dimensions. The shadow of braindance looms large, guiding the music towards twitchy pattern manipulation, alien textural design and dissonant harmonics. Bunnik's signature sense of melody can still be detected around the edges, from the distant, hazy pads of 'Charlatan' to the lingering chimes of 'Fragile', but this is a pointed new direction for Conforce and it's leading somewhere very interesting... French label Bright Sounds welcomes prolific Dutch artist Boris Bunnik for a new EP under his most celebrated alias, Conforce. The regular Delsin artist saves this project for his more dance floor driven work and that is the case across all four of the atmospheric tracks here. 'Virtue Signalling' is slick techno that mixes up sci-fi sounds with cavernous dub pads. It's cerebral and cinematic as well as being driven by the rubbery drums. 'Black Mesa' is darker, with a meaning synth line coming in spurts over punchy, broken drums. It's grand in architecture but still has plenty of rich sonic details. On the flipside, 'Compulsion' is more watery, with little life forms suspended in a backlit ocean above slippery drums, then 'Alka' is another underwater affair, with beams of light penetrating from above as a dubbed out groove undulates way down deep. Once again then here, Conforce marries form with function in exquisite ways. More

What happens when you place an island boy in an multicultural harbour metropolitan city? Stuff might get a little bit more rough edged from time to time. A transition from the serene tranquility of the islandic coasts to the impatient impulsiveness rush of the metropolitan city. Prolific Dutch artist Conforce is back with another LP on Delsin Records. This one marks something of a subtle evolution in his sound in that it returns to a more organic and immersive aesthetic. Made using various bits of outboard gear, it fuses dub rhythm with ambient detail and propulsive 4/4 kick drums to make for absorbing listening. Once again, then, this album proves no one does deep electronic music as well as Conforce.

Transcendent records is proud to present a new immersive cinematic techno release by a French producer who goes under the name of Ersatz Olfolks. Some might already know him from previous releases on Singular Records and Cheap. For a producer with only two records behind him we think he already has a bright voice within the overcrowded musical techno landscape. The title track sucks you into desolate interstellar territories paying hommage to 606 rhythms with emotive strings on top that determine the total atmosphere of this killer advanced electro cut. Human meets machine in it's purest form. Pitch Black leans on accurate programmed heavy broken percussive patterns and is the most functional track of the EP. Functional but it's haunting atmosphere lifts this to a different dimension. Continuum dives deeper into sonic territory with a mysterious stealth missional vibe caused by it's unpredictable sparkling crispy effects and mysterious pads. Systematic Repetition leans on pulsating modular bleeps and dubby basses and is the most techno orientated cut of the whole EP. Opener ‘Red Shift’ is ripe with intrigue and mystery, like the intrepid explorations of a spacecraft into the deeply unfamiliar whilst ‘Interference’ takes us into the bowls of a spaceship where robots seem to be spinning drills, computers bleep under their work load and all the while a thin and occult drone lingers in the background. ‘Fractional Wavelength’ is a nebulous world of more machine mechanics, this time glued together with a rubbery bass boom every so often, before ‘Permutation’ is the sound of an alien lab in full flow… liquid drips, glassy tinkles and metallic sparks all send your mind into overdrive as you try to fill in a visual picture of this very real sonic world.
