Number one in a series of three remix ep's featuring tracks from the Trus'me album 'Treat Me Right'. First in line are Skudge & Marcelus who ply their trade in suitably classic style. In inimitable style Skudge mould 'Moonlight Kiss' into a deep analogue roller. They maintain the chopped vocal hook & the dreamlike feel of the original but drive the tempo with crackling snares & thunderous kicks. Marcelus brings the pain to 'Hindsight' stripping the piece right back to the bare essentials. His rework fizzes & pops itself into the darkness whilst the bass & keys ride out a mesmeric & hypnotic groove. A fine introduction to this series that will also see Truss, Truncate, Luke Hess, Alan Fitzpatrick & Roman Flügel at the controls.

trus'me - WATER ON MARS
Keeping with the rough release rate of an album every couple of years, Prime Numbers label boss Trus'me is back with his fourth full length, Planet 4. Featuring nine cuts of intergalactic Techno and once again marking a considerable sonic evolution for this acclaimed UK artist. Never one to do the same trick twice, David James Wolstencroft uses his latest album as a vehicle for his own interest in deep space, physics and dark matter. It is those subjects that have occupied his mind in recent years, and those subjects that inform this brilliantly otherworldly album. Where previous LPs have variously been funk and soul heavy, or openly analogue and physical, this one is a more subtle and supple Techno affair that is as cerebral as it is seductive. Starting with a monologue that suggests that man has already landed on Mars, '1979' is a cut that immediately places you somewhere in orbit. Spooky synths and sci-fi sounds are eerie and atmospheric and very much set a perfect tone. From there, there is slow, elastic and unsettling mood music on 'The Unexplained', deep and insular Techno on 'Dark Flow' and trippy Dan Bell style minimalism on 'Ring Round Heart'. The second half of the LP touches on chunky dub, manic and melodic grooves. This is a coherent statement that holds together conceptually and musically. As well as providing plenty of dynamite for the more discerning dance floor, Planet 4 is also a delightfully detailed affair that will work just as well on headphones late at night.

A special triple pack vinyl release in bespoke wide spine, heavy card sleeve. Features all seven Trus’me remixes from Marcel Dettman, Norman Nodge, DVS1, Terrence Dixon, Ben Klock, Vakula & Ryan Elliott. Also includes a CD in printed card sleeve with all remixes plus two Nick Sinna tracks from his Voyager E.P with remixes from JTC ( Dabrye ) & Conforce. trusme - The Unexplained (Pangaea Confusion Mix)
Trus'me gets the remix treatment from Answer Code Request, Ben Sims & Pangaea. This is the first of two EPs featuring remixes of tracks from the Trus'me Planet 4 album. Answer Code Request takes Our Future into new territory with two outstanding mixes. Remix 1 moves things to a much more sinister & foreboding place. Tightening the feel & tension of the original with all the hallmarks of classic Berlin techno. Remix 2 winds up & coils the track into a searing workout of early 90's hardcore breakbeat. Ben Sims takes control of Ring Round Heart, pushing the tempo & creating a whole new urgency in the track. This is proper no nonsense heads down business & tight as you like. The mix builds excellently well & manages to produce an epic amount of feel and emotion, dropping in & out of the groove with a sneaky breakbeat & vocal dubs. Pangaea tackles one of the albums more esoteric tracks in The Unexplained. He manages to work a wonderfully intriguing steppers beat which drops from nowhere after the highly beguiling metronomic extended opening. The tracks are getting plenty of play & plaudits from likes of Ben UFO, DJ Deep, Bicep & Anthony Parasole.

nick sinna - NO RULES
After his standout debut EP on the label in 2012, Nick Sinna is now back on TrusMe's Prime Numbers label with three more searing Techno tracks that come complete with a remix from VRIL. Sinna is a Manchester native with the city's rich musical heritage running through his veins. From D&B to Hip Hop and on to House and Techno, he has a diverse array of influences but distills them all into his own rugged sound, often made using some authentic bits of hardware. The excellent title track here is 'Black Rose'. With an electro tinged bassline, tough synth riffs and darkened vocals repeating the title's refrain it is a powerful, forceful track with a shadowy sense of mood. As such it's exactly the sort of thing that will lock down dance floors for days. Remixing this one is Delsin and Giegling artist VRIL, who flips it into a lo-fi, grainy and seriously dubbed out techno roller. The brilliant 'What List?' has a more lumpy groove at its heart as well as some clipped ghetto vocal stabs and big rubbery bass stomps. It's a raw and arresting track with classic cow bells, groaning machine noises and funked up percussive patterns. The final original is the slower, more purposeful but seriously heavyweight 'No Rules', with its blown out bass sounds, clattering drum hits and rattling synth lines. There's a subtle sense of soul emanating from its core in the form of some lush pads, yet still it retains a real sense of physicality.

Two tracks and her debut release from Mor Elian on Prime Numbers backed by a remix from the Detroit prodigy Ob Ignitt !! 323 to Plaza punches its way through some dirty acidic movements before settling into a deep groove augmented by swirling keys. Chocolate Almond is a quasi afro affair . Heavy reverb and dub action compliments a rolling drum workout. The release is finely sealed with an Ob Ignitt remix of 323 To Plaza. His first outing on wax for a while he pitches things up, tightening the groove & increasing the tension of the original.

Prime Numbers are back with the next in their compiled EP series, once again selecting new tracks from producers who inspire & represent the sound of the label. This time it's a diverse outing, dwelling on the dubbier, more subtle side of things. The release starts with Modini, Following on from their excellent Turk EP for Dixon Basement Jams here they flip the script.'Attack Warning' fuses new wave & nu-beat styles with an almost ZTT-like sensibility. It's big, bold & direct with chopped vocal samples, an acidic bottom line & rock hard snares. Nick Sinna returns to the label with 'Come Again', a brooding piece with a distinctly UK feel. Various drum sounds are dextrously melded into a restrained afro tinged rhythmic workout. Luke Hess brings his own take to the track stripping back & tightening the elements whilst washing it in a Detroit solution for a more intense overall feel. Finally Hakim Murphy drops 'Synth Work'. Fantastically understated & ethereal the track draws you in with padded kicks, floating bleeps & squelched bass.

Adesse has recently turned heads with his sought after and limited 'Versions' releases. For Prime Numbers he brings another high quality ep featuring three more excursions. The title track 'Untitled Love' is a dubbed up 90's-esque workout. Repetitive vocal samples swirl over a deep, low-slung bass groove & peak'd-up snares. Its an unashamedly wide eyed, bouncing production that'll please those checking for the current resurgence of raw garage sounds. 'Supernal' takes things into deeper territory with an intriguing steppers outing. The track oozes soul with rousing keys & smoked-out production that's all kept in line by a mesmerising, metronomic vocal. The set is closed by 'Metachemistry' an equally engrossing track utilising a shuffling groove wrapped in breathy, reedy horns & heavily reverbed percussion. All told a deeply reverential release highlighting a producer with an obviously wide palette of influence & a natural feel for what simply works.

February 2013 sees the release of 'Treat Me Right', a new album from Trus'me. Its his first album in 3 years and to a certain extent marks a change in direction from the predecessors, 'Working Nights' & 'In The Red'. 'Treat Me Right' follows an esteemed remix series of Trus'me classic tracks with treatments from Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Terrence Dixon, DVS1, Ryan Elliott & Vakula. Here's what the man himself has to say as way of an introduction to the new album. "Since 'In The Red' I found myself traveling as far as Japan and South America and experiencing new scenes and people that have influenced my sound both in the studio and behind the decks. Reaching 30 changes your perspective on life, so when visiting these strange but intriguing countries I have taken the time to stay for a while and take it all in. Airport-Hotel-Club and sometimes straight to the Airport can take its toll on you. Travelling so much has forced me to change my way of making music, I would say now I have a more 'anoligital' approach to my production techniques. The final production stage will always remain an analogue process but the creative process has become more digital. You can't take all those lovely synths and machines on the road with you. The Laptop is always there where inspiration hits you whether it be on the plane or hours after you're finished in a club. With 'Working Nights' I wanted to create a cohesive hour of music from start to finish, whereas 'In The Red' was a way to push myself and learn new engineering and production techniques, working with live musicians such as Amp Fiddler and Dam Funk. 'Treat Me Right' saw me move into the realm of synths, drum machines to create the sounds of the scene I had been submerged in over the last 4-5 years. Working on new music while on the road is hard, and fragmented sessions all came together once I was stationary in Manchester. The weather surely helps this, it's much easier to be influenced and complete an idea when the sun is not shining outside. I stayed away from the impulse of my love of sampling and musicianship and trapped myself in a room, so that the final outcome would be a true representation on the sound they call analogue."

Prime Numbers welcomes newcomer Nick Sinna for release number 13 on the imprint. Hailing from Manchester and long time friend of label boss Trus'me, Nick has been best known for his deep, melodic DJ sets. Showcasing his hypnotic style, as well as a broad spectrum of influences, this 4 track EP is a heavy hitter from start to finish.
Jumping into it with a nod to the past, "Voyager" will have you traversing down a boundless wormhole with its acidy groove. Big room sirens and lumbering snaps drive through the EP's B side on "Kick The Habit". On record two, Nick shows us his softer side with blissed out 9 am anthem "Momentary", while "Real Time" completes the EP on a dark and entrancing note.

Prime Numbers returns with a series of remixes of Trus'me favourites, including treatments from a host of current cherished producers. The 12" features the MDR records duo Marcel Dettmann & Norman Nodge. Dettmann takes a diversion from his more familiar techno blueprint, working "Sweetmother" into a tight house groove. Intensifying all parts of the original he creates an insistent and deeply pressured production. On the flip "Good God" gets dubbed & smudged into a beguiling ghostly haze. Nodge completely reworks the mix stripping back & filtering the elements to fantastic effect. Watch out for remixes from Terrence Dixon & DVS1 on part 2 in this series.

Here's the anticipated debut album from Gavin Sutherland aka Fudge Fingas. The Fudge Fingas discography, dating back almost a decade, is teasingly small with only a sprinkling of 10"s and 12"s to his name. Since 2004 the Edinburgh-based artist has been a mainstay of both Prime Numbers and Firecracker Recordings, two UK labels that share a penchant for classically rooted electronic music. "Now About How" is an album that fuses diverse styles, tipping it's cap to a world of sounds absorbed over the course of a lifetime. It is the sound of Fudge's childhood spent learning from his record loving family about the many wonders of 20th century recorded music, filtered through the classic house and techno template which was the soundtrack to his formative years. It's the sound of how we got to now, and where we might go from here.

Prime Numbers return with M7. The first side is taken by a remix of Wireman’s “Armour”, the original of which was included on PN04 released at the end of last year. The remix is from Move D ( Deep Space Network, Source Records ), he ups the tempo and in trademark fashion softens the surfaces of the original, warming the core of the track whilst creating a bass heavy groove with twisting beats, synths and a husky hypnotic vocal sample. The flip includes two tracks. To start we have “Crushed” by Actress. Darren J. Cunningham aka Actress runs the much lauded Werk Records and this track is taken from his limited CD only album “Hazyville” ( released on Werk in the Autumn of last year ) “Crushed” is slo-mo, extra bass heavy, low slung house with an addictive lofi synth riff and submerged strings. The track bumps along with hiss and crackle to good affect before turning into a badalamenti-esque loop to finish. To round things off Be, the up & coming Manchester based producer provides “When You Left”. Be cut his teeth with the Chicago based Still music and a great Al Hudson reedit which found extensive dj support on its release. “When You Left” is a shuffling downbeat house groove with a jazz sentiment featuring deep rhodes keys and clipped drums, the track breaks up into a bluesy accapella section then builds up to a more direct 4/4 groove to the end
