Touching upon dance musiculatory milestones like Detroit Techno and Electro, NSYDE007 sees TYON, a well-known but besides this moniker for now anonymous traveller, summoning up atmospheres totally his own. This is space music. But not in the Ra sense. Take the A-Side “Flaw 11”, for instance. This is space music in the way it catapults you out, like the most terrible mistake made by man-machine, into the farthest reaches of an ever faster expanding universe, dark energy tearing at your nipples until they rip off, resemblances of melody orchestrating the drama/bliss of event horizon passage. It’s dark yet beautiful, like the smile on a dying person’s face, and a heavily psychedelic trip at that – but fear not! You won’t be subjected to any despicable noodleage here, just to weird, intensely warped sounds you want to dance your ass off to. “Make It Fat” on the other side is the sci-fi equivalent to Hänsel und Gretel: a perpetuating feeding of the child-to-be-eaten. The finest in Andromeda’s hyper-fattening molecular cuisine gets crammed into the gagging brat as doom is looming over its forehead. And with every spoon that’s being recklessly punched into the poor little demon’s face it is getting closer to its, as well as the dancer’s ultimate goal: total nirvana. Pressed on black vinyl.

The title cut is a result of a Red Rack’em tour through the south pacific, connecting with Inkswell and fam. What was meant to be a Rack’em / Inkswell track instead ended up with Australian vocalist, now Berlin diamond in the rough: Misumami liberally sprinkling her magic throughout. With a proposed subject matter based around missing loved ones while apart, Misumami weaves an enchanting story of longing, and matters of the heart, through signature sleek, clever, floor ready Rack’em production. Flip for ‘Love Beat’ and here we get Red Rack’em- the Funky Technician fanboy, dusty fingered Native Tongue devotee, and closet Jazz dancer. The loose, bumping drum programming and sculpted, cubist jazz sampling (inna heavy Mandalorian funk fashion) weld this nocturnal seduction dance together. This is a late night groover, an eyes closed on the dance floor vibration. Borderless n s y d e is starting a new series of releases, and Volume 1 comes from close label artist and friend Mobach. Entitled XieniX (which is a phonetical Dutch spelling for “I can’t see anything”) the series is named after an influential 90s club in the city of Gouda that made a lasting impact on the young Mobach. Mobach has won plenty of acclaim with tracks like 2014’s ‘At The Mines of Planet X’ before now and has also turned up on SD Records with fine EPs and LPs. His sound is a fusion of house, jazz, techno and ambient and really takes you to another world. This timeless new EP carries on in that vein.
‘Exotic Drones’ is a sludgy, spacious bit of dubbed out and slow motion techno with lush chords and plenty of alien sound design. The percussion is loose and shape shifting throughout, and the bass that underpins the whole thing is all consuming. ‘XieniX’ then builds in curious and intriguing ways with far of synths and watery droplets pulling you right into the centre of the track. Again slow and purposeful, it’ features some find sound design and is evocative as a result. ‘Apres’ is then a blissfully celestial bit of ambient that floats high in the sky as chords rain down and chugging, broken drums do their thing down below.
This is a moody, soundscaping EP that works as well as home as it does on the dance floor.

"Early" Earl might be his rawest work to date. Nsyde's philosophy is releasing timeless techno / true house and beyond. We think Rau's latest work fulfills this. Opener "A Bad Conduction" is a beautifully evolving stripped down to the bone techno track, featuring slapping hi-hats and dubby basslines. One to get lost in! reduced to the point. "Turn Loose" is a pleasantly distorted analogue house gem, exchanging Rau's usual airy deep house (released on labels like Smallville, Aim and Office) for a laid-back peak-time jam, but still packing all the charming elements Rau stands for. This melody, oh this melody. Deep groover "Getting Up At Noon" closes things off with deep strings and absorbing piano pads. Suitable for late hour DJ sets, this is an excellent track for those who like to take things deeper. A little bonus for the heads is included on the vinyl. 7 Locked grooves for the extraordinary mixing pleasures.

When a young guy from Copenhagen sent us his music, a single listen was all it took to notice the special talent at work here. It was obvious that these tracks deserved an immediate release. As fate would have it, 1 years have passed since. The tracks however, never lost any of their timeless depth. Theology student Samuel André Madsen from Denmark knows how to combine single elements into a groove collage defying all stereotypes. Northwest Cave Groove is brushed lightly against the grain, against all expectations, opens up once the chords hit. Moodsy (12” vinyl exclusive) opens with a warm hypnotic sound carpet that is hard to resist. The following breaks sends the track into stasis. Finally, Achterbahn D ´Amour rebuild the original track into an epic, tercet-laden, 9 min. acid monster with a classic 808/909 barrage. At the end elegiac strings convert it into a and yet surprisingly thriving field of flowers.
