The mighty Casey is up to bat once again for Love Notes from Brooklyn. This time, though, it's a more complete three track artist EP on offer. The music, of course, encapsulates everything that's great about Casey's sound: the lush pads, the crispy percussion, the emotional strings, and the dance-floor destroying basslines. Alternative Faction utilizes one such dancefloor destroying bassline to create a real fist pumping moment in the title track; That Time of Year uses a wriggly acid synth line over the aforementioned emotional strings, and to great effect; and New Mission ends the EP in a unwavering fashion; with heartstring-tugging, terk jerking, emotional pads over an acid line in signature Casey Tucker fashion. Never truly getting the recognition for is Detroit influenced and post rave sound in the 90s, For Those That Knoe reissued some of Casey's classic material and unearthed some gems on DAT in 2013. Fast forward to the current day and a recent treasure trove was uncovered and some fresh DATs untouched since the late 90s were discovered! Ben promptly bought a DAT player on Ebay and shipped it to Casey's home for the un-dusting to commence. FTTK has worked with Casey to present another round of authentic material for this final installment (maybe) of his classic productions. This final chapter rounds off in a deeper more melancholic style. Inner Strength has a warehouse vibe with spacey choir pads, percussive bassline and acid funk. Terraform from Fine Balance 002 gets a rerelease as the A2 cut on this EP. Classic Casey stabs, twinkly leads and shuffling rhythms are the order of the day for what has been a staple in Ben's record bag for an age. The final track presents one of Casey's finest moments. Waiting Game is the after hours yang to the ying of the perfect summer cut BST on KNOE 2/1and rounds the series off beautifuly. Stunningly deep and psychedelic with its string section and acid lines it's a late night tune designed to usher in the break of dawn." More

Whatever Comes to Mind rounds off the EP with a rolling percussive bassline, delicate arps and smooth sweeping pads.

Original music by Casey Tucker, whose recent releases on Boe off-shoot, For Those Who Knoe, Inspired Jay to seek him out. On remix duties, Italy's underground don, Nick Anothony Simoncino, of L.I.E.S., Echovolt, Skywax, Quintessentials, and his own label, Hotmix, to name but a few. Nathaniel is promising big things for his new Love Notes imprint: "This is going to be the best thing I've ever done". We'll take him at his word until he gives us reason not to.
