No 19 revisit the recently released, critically acclaimed Tone of Arc album ‘The Time Was Right’ for the next EP. Disco king Prins Thomas and Southern Fried duo Luca remix C & Brigante remix two key tracks fro the album to fantastic effect. First up we have Prins Thomas, known the world over as one of disco’s foremost innovators, he is boss at the Internajsonal label and has his own singular sound that takes its cues from prog rock and kraut as much as disco past and present. Here he reworks ‘Goodbye Horses’ into an even more lovelorn, dubbed out and slow burning disco licker than was the original. Laced up with a cosmic 80s vibe, innocent melodic stabs and his usual celestial synthesisers, it’s a mature and patient track that rewards your close inspection on every level. Deservingly hyped Italian duo Luca C & Brigante then offer two remixes of ‘Love Kissed’. Mouse With No House Mix goes first and strips back the poised and purposeful, low slung and sun kissed funk of the original into a deep and space house jam rich with glowing harmonic melodies and a slowly churning bottom end. A perfect set builder that teases with acid as much as it rewards with its inviting chords. The duo’s second remix of the same track is even more heavyweight and heads down as you’d expect of something called a Warehouse Dub. The duo allows plenty of space around their arrangement for the deepness to really sink in. Their finely balanced, groove inducing claps and hits churn along at an oh-so appealing pace that manages to both sexy and serious. This is a finely thought out remix packages that breathes new life and fresh angles into Tone of Arc’s still standout originals and will likely see them rolled out plenty more times this summer.

No.19 Music look once again to the multi talented Tone of Arc for their latest single, an atmospheric cover version of the 1988 hit 'Goodbye Horses', the release also features a remix from the ever excellent Deniz Kurtel… Jonny White's No.19 Music has been keeping up the pressure in 2012 with a string of quality releases from the likes of Art Department & Konrad Black, Ali Love, Cameo Culture and Tone of Arc, the San Francisco based, multi-instrumentalist producer who has become a core member of the No19 team. Tone of Arc, better known to friends as Derrick Boyd has been a fixture on the electronic music scene for a number of years but it's since hooking up with Jonny White and No19 that his star has really gone into its ascendency. His debut single 'Shaking the Sky/No Pushers' received broad critical acclaim on its release earlier this year and saw. Derrick featured widely in the international press. Now Tone of Arc is backed with a brand new release that is set to give an insight into the broader musical realms of which he inhabits. The record opens up with 'Goodbye Horses', a cover of the 1988 Q Lazarus hit that famously featured in the film 'Silence of the Lambs'. Boyd treats the composition with a deft touch, staying true to the original in many ways whilst bringing his own unique sound to bear, a dark edged eighties electro feel runs throughout and Boyd's own vocals soar over the arrangement with real power, quality stuff indeed. 'Goodbye Horses' is followed by one of Boyd's original compositions, the excellent 'Sound Sail' featuring vocals from Boyd and partner Zoe Presnick. 'Sound Sail' has a distinctly balaeric feel with its repeated piano chords and uplifting vocal elements playing off the rolling rhythms and deep pads/synths. The original version is complimented by a remix from Crosstown Rebels / Wolf + Lamb artist Deniz Kurtel, she turns 'Sound Sail' into a stripped and ethereal reworking that is brilliantly hypnotic and a perfect late night twist on Boyd's original. With rumour of a Tone of Arc album in the pipeline for early 2013, this is another wonderful taster of just what this guy can do and with Jonny White's No19 label behind him it would seem he is set for big things.

Tone of Arc is the new moniker from Derrick Boyd the multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer who has been creating such a stir after his recent performances at the No.19 Social Experiment events at BPM in Mexico and WMC in Miami and with his forthcoming remix for Visionquest. His marriage of inspiring production/songwriting and truly unique live/dj performances make him a very exciting prospect as anyone who has caught him live can testify to. Now he is set to distil all of this into an album for his friends at No.19, and as an early taster of that, we have here his debut single 'Shaking the Sky / No Pushers'. The A side track 'Shaking the Sky' is a superb bass driven slice of dark house that weaves eighties tinged synth work and rolling drums with the wonderfully contrasting vocals of Boyd & partner Zoe Presnick. This is an instant late night anthem and surely set to become one of the biggest No.19 records to date: it's easy to see why this has been a staple in Art Department Dj sets for the last year. The flipside sees Boyd shift down a gear with the sublime & laidback 'No Pushers', a track that was debuted during Jonny White & Shaun Reeves set at the Legendary Sacbe Jungle party in Playa Del Carmen earlier this year. The record melds a brilliant warm bassline, layers of hypnotic pads and a shuffling drum section to create the perfect base for his ethereal vocals. Electronic music heavyweight Kenny Glasgow is back with his much anticpated new solo album entitled ‘Circus Tales’. Right from the off, Glasgow’s dehumanised style is on full display. Robot vocals and rugged grooves are embellished with creepy melodies and unhinged synths. After that arresting opener, ‘Come On’ keeps up the pressure with prying bass and slick drums, and ‘Response From Mars’ gets dark and freaky with wonky chords, minimal drum programming and metallic textures that are industrial and inviting. Trying something fresh with each new track, the album switches up the moods and grooves with ease and style, and ‘floor slaying cuts like ‘Pro-to-Type’ and the melodically expansive ‘Everything is Breath’ prove that with aplomb. ‘Communication Meltdown’ proves Glasgow can play truly musical chords as well as programme drums to make dancers go wild, and the final trio of tracks get truly heady and hypnotic for the most discerning back rooms out there. This is a complete sound world from Glasgow that features a coherent and cohesive set of dance floor tracks. The whole thing is a masterful piece of forward facing work that will surely set the world alight this summer.

For his latest musical outing Lawson has joined forced with a collective of musicians, vocalists and producers including original production partner Carl Finlow, Italian artist & producer Tuccillo, multi instrumentalist & vocalist Debukas and the legendary Chez Damier. Working under the name 'Lost in Time', the group share their name with the vinyl only single series that created such as buzz in 2014 with three slabs of vinyl including 'The Moment'by Lawson / Damier, which became a cult hit, played by Apollonia every week through the summer at DC10. As Lawson puts it "Lost in Time is a creative outlet for electronic music production inspired by old records sounding new and new records sounding old. We are now 'Lost in Time' - the boundaries are gone and we are free to roam through space and time." 'Hold Over Me' started life as an instrumental track by Lawson and Finlow which was then taken into Tuccillo's Unblock studio in Ibiza for the addition of vocals and further keys from Debukas and Tuccillo. Inspired by the Ibizan winter sun and a desire to make a classic sounding record for the modern dancefloor, 'Hold Over Me' was an obvious fit for No.19 Music and received the instant backing of label head Jonny White. The song is delivered in five different versions here, opening with the smooth, vocal house sounds of Ralph Lawson & Tuccillo vocal mix, replete with warm bass tones and classic piano motifs. The recently reformed 2020Vision strip things back, favouring FX laden stabs and a rolling rhythm section to provide the framework for Debukas' infectious vocal. Lawson's Rise Up Dub aims its sights squarely at the dancefloor with a mix that features a truly epic breakdown. The package is completed with superb dub and instrumental mixes from Lawson and Tuccillo that bring the synths and melodic elements to the fore. More

Art Department announce the release of "Cruel Intentions feat. Seth Troxler", the first single from the highly anticipated sophomore studio album, "Natural Selection". The track will premiere on Pete Tong's legendary BBC Radio 1show on 17th October, before receiving an official release through No.19 Music on the 10th November. "Cruel Intentions" is a brooding whirlwind of hypnotic beats, layered synths and off-centre vocals courtesy of Kenny Glasgow. True to form, the track brims with Art Department's signature impeccable arrangement; simplistic perfection, distorted through a murderous bass line and raw textures, topped with hauntingly eerie spoken word verses by long-standing friend and collaborator, Seth Troxler. Stepping up for the first remix is revered house master and Ibadan Records boss Jerome Sydenham. 'Autophobia' shifts gears at this point, taking the listener into a series of cuts that give insight into Fresco's less dancefloor musical influences. A percussive slo-mo interlude in the shape of the 'Thrill Me' lays the way for the album's title track, an emotive and laid back recording that features the hauntingly ethereal vocals of Luna. Penultimate cut 'Hunter & Prey' stays in downtempo territory with its edgy and intense atmosphere driven forth by a killer rhythm section before Louie Fresco delivers his final gem, the epic early hours anthem that is 'Alternate Dimension (Nothing Will Fall Apart)', which brings things firmly back to the floor.

Now, with both camps dominating the world stage it makes for the most natural of partnerships for the new My Favorite Robot album to find a home with the good folks at No.19. ‘Atomic Age’ is a beautifully crafted album that opens the doors on the inner sound of My Favorite Robot. Without a doubt it takes influences from the many dancefloors that the trio have rocked over the past few years but at its core this is a heartfelt and musical album that showcases the songwriting and performing talents of the three core members. Opening cut ‘The Circus’ sets the scene with its emotionally charged vocalperformance rising through a sea of synth driven electronica. From here there is a series of dark edged, yet highly engaging vocal cuts including ‘Here Tonight’, the spacey ‘Ride’ and the outstanding recent single ‘Looking for Frost’. Art Department are an act, that in the space of a few short years have become one of the biggest names on dance music's landscape. Musical partners Jonny White & Kenny Glasgow have a long history together, but it was with the launch of their Art Department moniker and their seminal releases through Crosstown Rebels that the pair came into the spotlight on the world stage. Debut album 'The Drawing Board' received rapturous support and their single 'Without You' was proclaimed a record of the year 2010 by the likes of Resident Advisor and Mixmag. Two years on and Art Department are riding high, touring the world and delivering their own unique party experience wherever they go, now they come together to compile and mix their first official compilation album capturing something of that experience in a stunning 72 minute mix.
No.19 Music's 'Social Experiment' compilation series was the obvious choice for this inaugural compilation from the pair, the imprint being owned & lovingly curated by Jonny White and the label's 'Social Experiment' parties having been a key part in the Art Department schedule, with sell out shows at Sonar, WMC (Miami), Fabric & Panorama bar. The previous chapter, 'Social Experiment 002' was mixed by Soul Clap and was a huge success for the label in 2011, now No.19 Music prepares for the release of what is set to be its biggest release to date, 'Art Department Social Experiment 003'.
The album features 14 tracks with some of the biggest and brightest names in electronic music making an appearance, 8 exclusives bring unheard cuts from the likes Jamie Jones, My Favorite Robot & Art Department themselves and the whole thing is tied together seamlessly with the duo's creative vision. Bookended with Art Department exclusives in the shape of 'Into the Dust Intro' and 'Insomniac', the mix takes an emotive and intense journey through the realms of twisted house music, deep techno and afterhour grooves, fusing uplifting vocal compositions with rolling instrumental workouts as only Jonny & Kenny know how. 'Robot Heart' the new single from Art Department, BLUD & Shaun Reeves makes a welcome appearance with the sultry London vocals of one Damian Lazarus adding to the mix and with the likes of Carl Craig, Robert Owens, Fuckpony, DJ Hell, Brian Ferry, Tale of Us & Ali Love featuring on the album, there is truly no shortage to the musical talent on offer here on a selection that shines from beginning to end.
